I love my GE78. I ran a timespy benchmark after seeing your other video. Results for mine (Same spec as yours) 20,545 21,529 GPU @64c 16,321 CPU @89c “Better than 96% of all results” I’ll take that, coming from a GF65 i7 /RTX3060 that ran 7171. 7429 GPU @57c 5994 CPU @90c Would be interesting to see other similar spec laptops benched.
i do not recomend asus scar ,i had bad experience with scar18,coil whine noise, couldn;t undervolt de cpu more de -30,gpu can't be overclocked that much like msi.
Could you record a gameplay video of some recent game, like hogwarts, deadspace or cyberpunk using GE78? I wonder if it performs better and stays cooler outside of benchmarks
The Razer blade is hot AF above the keyboard. This is Normal. That lightbar alone on the MsI is reason enough to run from it. You sound exasperated. sighing constantly. I think you take this too seriously. That restocking fee tho..
Asus CPU is maxed at 55W versus MSI at 75W hence the benchmark difference. In actual performance this benchmark difference does not mean much. Both are great laptops ... I prefer the Scar 18 (cheaper / bigger screen / gsync / HDR / advanced optymus).
i done quick run in cinebench and i got over 34000,with asus just over 31000 in quick test. When i done the cinebench run for 10 min msi scored just over 31000 and asus just below 30000,the hinges on asus squick and make wierd noise when i open and close the laptop ,asus got the coil whine gpu noise and cheap plastic.
@@derekcranson2307 Considering CPU voltage can go up to 75W in MSI and only to 55W in Asus this is expected. Also, MSI have faster ram 5600 RPM vs 4800 in the Asus. Build quality in Scar is great even if it is plastic it is very durable. I just ordered a Scar 18 and I have an Asus ROG G703 from 2019 that still looks like new today. Coil whine can be hit and miss in all laptops. Finally, MSI is famous for bad hinges not Asus. Both are great laptops and both have pros and cons. You cannot go wrong with either.
@@derekcranson2307 I'm trying to write a comment but I can't see it after I write it. weird. ok now I can. if/when you're comfortable with 3000 for the MSI ge78 I think I'd be willing to buy. can you ship to Israel? I find it laughable you could call the Asus cheap build, & pretend MSI isn't notorious for cheap builds. The MSI laptops this year, yet again feel cheap as hell from what I've tested.
Guess there is a reason why MSI is more expensive even despite the lower screen size. ASUS has more elegant appearance tho

Thanks for this comparison, my friend you are ahead of a lot of popular reviewers on TH-cam appreciate it. Please keep it up. You are doing amazing.
Is it called the Asus rog strix 18?
Do u not find the MSI screen too small compared to the ASUS?
Fanaticism aside, I prefer MSI for everything ROG can't do...
The MSIGE78HX does not have G-Sync.
For coding and gaming with focus in quality, which one is better?
Msi ,they support faster memory then asus, and looks a bit better, that's just my opnion.
Which is better to buy?

I'll do some gaming soon.
interesting, but if you compare it with the Razer blade 18
I don't own a razer blade,sorry bud.
Razer blade laptop it's build for look and they run hot as hell.
Asus rog scar doesnt feel cheap... yes its plastic but its solid and lovely and smooth

if i buy a laptop it would be Zephyrus Duo 16 2023 or msi ge78 hx, ofc max high end builds
Great video but your barely audible

I didn't liked Asus, that why I gave up on that one by send it back to retailer.
MSI is definitely preferable over the A(s)nus. It doesn't look good at all. Sorry to hear you already ordered that one. That must be tough.

Not very convincing comparison video from someone who in a 5 mins timeframe repeated3 times “i don’t know” …
Asus looks ugly. If it wasnt plastic and got rid of the gimmicky rog logo i would be in for it.
I want the MSI but it costs 30% more where I live
I'm selling both laptops mate, if u are interested let me know.
