Although you and I have many years between us, I respect your dedication to your craft. I wish you were my neighbor and friend. You are a great human, as much an artist, as craftsman. Agappe love from Texas, USA.
That's absolutely amazing! You have such amazing skills at such a young age. All the time and work that went into this piece is incredible!! Absolutely beautiful results!
Now that is a fine piece of craftsmanship 😁. Very nicely done Sean. You should be very proud of that 😁. I have been tempted to do a segmented piece for years.. I think you have just convinced me to get on with it 🤨. Well done Sean and thanks for sharing the project with us. Stay safe 😁👍
Hey Frank! Well that's brilliant to hear that i've inspired you to make one! you definitely should. it's time consuming... but very rewarding at the end. glad you liked the video. see you in the next one
Sean Evelegh I can’t see that being a problem for you...thought the filmic side of this project was a step up...if anywhere that is where you need to concentrate and better each time...huge congrats 👏👏
Most people look a that vase and don’t fully see the amount of time and effort it required. A single person could frame a house in the same time frame nail by nail !👍🎩😎. One nice addition would be a trail of dashes thru the maze with it terminating at the top with a mouse eating a piece of cheese😁🐭🧀
Hey @The Turtle Carpenter thanks for watching. I'm glad you see the amount of time that went into making it aha. that's a good idea. I might do that in the future (thanks for the suggestion).
Wow, that vase is amazing! It reminds me of the work by Kyle Toth, very inspiring. I sometimes turn something small on the lathe, and I get a nice finish by using carnauba wax. I look forward to the video where you explain the finishing process of this vase!
Hi Paul, thanks for watching. yeah I love watching Kyle Toth he's a great maker, I've learnt a lot from him. Yeah i wanted to make the finishing video, as in this video i wasn't able to go in depth on how i did it.
Hey again Sean. Not stalking lol just working on Bank Holiday and very few customers. Hearing you mention this in the Q & A perked my interest as want to get into segmented work. I have couple of questions how did you create the clearly extensive plans for this project. Such they all followed the pattern. Like converting curved piece to 2 dimensional plan. Also. Your workshop seems to have become massive between videos. Do you operate from two shops. I am green with envy of you equipment for sure.
Hey Kev, the bigger workshop you see was my university workshop. I have let uni now and the smaller one is my own. I'm not brilliant and computer design so all the planing was just done on paper and sketching ahah
Hi Jim, Yeah the first workshop in my collage one. called Rycotewood furniture centre, and i turned the vase in my own workshop aha. glad you like the piece mate
Just WOW this is a stunning piece mate I love it you’re so skilled it’s a joy to watch. I love the dance moves and obvs you were listening to www.makerradio.net 😝 well done mate you should be very proud of yourself 👊🏼
