Yamaha TRX 850 with stock exhaust
Please use headphones to hear the best possible sound from the stock exhausts.
Beautiful youngtimer, which still makes a lot of fun (60000km). The engine is surprisingly powerful in midrange and very good balanced in all areas of rpm. The suspension isn`t up to date anymore, but that would be easy to fix for a suspension specialist.
Exactly the right toy for some afterwork rides. Thanks to my buddy Thomas for letting me doing this shot to share it with all who like this beauty. Onboard video will follow.
I´ve done a testride and modified some small things.
I´ve balanced the original suspension for rider 95kg to the following setup:
Michelin Pilot Road 3 front 2,4bar cold / rear 2,6 bar cold
Fork 20mm over the clamps of the handlebars
7 rings out of preload
Tension on Klick 1 or 2
preload rear damper on 4th position
compression fully closed
rebound 12 Klicks open
This is a comfortable street setup with focus on handling, not on best attack performance. You have to drive it in a smooth style.
I´ve lifted the Idle to 1500 rpm, to get less engine break and smoother load-cycle-changes.

I´m still working on an onboardvideo, just have to get used to the Zoom recorder for better sound.
