This is such good advice! Thank you Sophie…I’m here in Sussex, U.K. I’m 52 and have inherited high cholesterol but have asked my GP to give me time to really work on my diet to see if I can bring the numbers down without the need for statins. I have subscribed, so wish me luck! 🍀🌸
Very good video! We are an active couple in our 80's and are all about healthy aging. We still strive for a healthy body, a calm mind, and a positive outlook. And we feel better than ever! For us, switching to a whole food plant-based diet was a key in us both overcoming life-threatening diseases 14 years ago. We are doing research for our new TH-cam channel and hope to inspire others. Learned a lot here. Thank you!
Awesome video!!! Just what I needed!!! Thank you for being so detailed and specific about each item and suggestions for the best way to include them, so very helpful!!! 🤩🤩🤩
There are 2 kinds of barley. One grows with a big hull, and needs to be processed for human consumption-- ie: "hulled" and "pearled". So, it is not a whole food. This is the most common, because it is grown for animal feed and beer production. The other type of barley grows without a hull, and only has a husk to be removed. It has been cultivated as a human food for 10,000 years in Asia. It is called "hulless " barley. It is a whole food. Nothing removed. The nomenclature is confusing and unfortunate. "Hulless" is very different than "hulled". Fortunately, hulless can be found more frequently now. So do look for that!
Great video. I’m trying to get my husband off his meds. This will help. Oh I have to say I love your dress, did you get it on line? I just lost 15 pounds and exciting to start thinking about shopping again 💐 Thank you for all your motivational videos and your hard work.
If you eat healthy good carbs you should be okay. I know there are so many different schools of thought when it comes to candida. The main thing is to avoid all sugar and all processed foods. That's the starting place. I've seen amazing results with clients who have gone on a VERY clean whole food plant based diet, too.
Hi Sophie, I’m in the U.K. so our cholesterol readings are different….could you recommend U.K. levels please… is it total cholesterol under 5? Best regards, Sally 🎨🌟🌸🙏
Have not heard of this side effect...have been using it for years, as have many of my clients. Have never heard of this kind of issue. I think that 1/2 tsp per day is very very safe. If you have underlying conditions that might promote bleeding of some kind, that should be taken to a doctor. As a non-medical nutritionist, I cannot comment further on the issue of bleeding.
Thank you for the video. I checked out the brand you suggested for our non fish ω3 intake via supplement. In your opinion, is it dangerous to take a supplement that contains careageenan? In Greece, I can only get Deva algae with carrageenan. Could you please make a video on the Importance of ω3 and the suggested intake other than the one about flaxseed? Thanks
I bought Amla powder and I gave it away because it's so bitter, and has such an strong awful taste, I couldn't stomach it. It ruined my smoothie, no matter how small of an amount I tried.

Would you include farro to the list of grains for heart health?

I’m wondering what people with candida should do because carbs are not supposed to be good for candida 😕 thank you so much.

Very informative! Amla, however has side effects and one of which is bleeding, am I correct? Thank you, Sophie!

@@gorgeouslygreen839 Thanks Sophie! Appreciate your response! I don't have underlying conditions. Just curious as I researched about this!

Nicole, there's another brand that I love, here's a link: bit.ly/37vSt6G
How do you eat Amla which tastes terrible
in a smoothie with dates and other flavors.
Loved the video! I can’t find the link that had information and coupon for the Pan?
Susan, scroll down the description in the video and it's right there. A really great deal, too!
Thank you!
