We love a bit of panelling! We know it’s has been heavily used over the past years but it’s such a great way to add depth and dimension and you can always change the colour of it ☺️
You two should be wearing respiratory protection when you cut stone. The aerosolized stone is very hard on the lungs. Otherwise, this is the only channel I’ve ever subscribed to. I’m such a fan of your skills and imagination.

Hello that is lovely to hear! Well we are filming tours of everything to add on the channel so people can understand as there are to many buildings. So far we have finished the caretakers cottage, Servants Quarters, Hay loft in the stables. We have left to do in the Main estate the Georgian House, Servants kitchens and the gardeners Cottage. We are currently restoring the Dower House . The tv show is called Saving the Manor I think in the Uk you could find it on discovery plus now? I am not sure it was on tv for few months

I wish I’d thought of the plywood sheeting - genius idea! I just added the timber panelling directly to the old horsehair plaster ten years ago. The overall effect looks good,but yours looks so much better.
Speaking as someone who could be your grandmother boys please please use masks when you are cutting stone and other materials. Protect your lungs boys. The snug is another stunning room good job

We have explained before on other videos the lime is purely aesthetic, the dower house was throughly modernised I. The 2000 so there are stud walls, modern insulation and plasterboard, I aesthetically lime plastered over plasterboard

We could have changed the bricks and fully repointed it but we like the story of the damaged bricks and markings where the bread ovens would have been.

They were bedded in with mortar on either end and screwed to the existing floor joists along the length of the beam from above 🥰
