Dennis from Dallas Texas USA. What you two are living was non existent when I was your age. I’m 62 years old now and couldn’t be more happy for both of you. Enjoy every moment in time.
Moms, especially, love to feel useful after her children leave . Even if you think you’re overwhelming her with tasks, I promise you, she loves every minute of it!
@@mytinyestateWhen parents do stuff for their children they feel they help them with something more valuable then taking them for lunch or drinks, sometimes the stuff that you perceive as a work is a pleasure for us, parents, because helping you accomplish your dream is a permanent achievement for any parent. So don’t feel bad. Your mom can have tapas whenever she wants, helping you guys on a period property is much more meaningful.
I’m 75 stumbled upon your channel have become obsessed with your creativity, such lovely ideas you both have. I’ve been with my partner next year will be 50 years. One thing I’ve learned is laugh a great deal, you both have that, sometimes the days seem very very long, you will one day realize how short the years are. Keep up the wonderful work, keep laughing, keep loving each other.🙏
When Borja mentioned changing the fabric because it was spring, he reminded me of my late partner. We had to have seasonal curtains and drapes along with 3 kitchen dinette sets so he could change them throughout the year. Storage space for small furniture and items is a must, so you change furniture and art depending in the season is a must.😊
My late father was just like Borjas mum spending every weekend here helping us renovate and have lots of very happy memoriEs of time spent taking sash windows apart opening up fireplaces etc great memories in every room……..love the paintwork colour which is it pls
It’s so handy having helping family members 🥰 our paints are from Fenwick and tillbrook you can ask them about our full paint range. They are only a small company so know us well
She's getting a grandchild!!! The low dresser will make a great changing table I had a basket with burp clothes, wipes several diapers and sizes powder and pentaton butt cream. (teething causes horrific rashes, honestly they go from abject misery back to glorious dewy pink perfect skin! in 24 to 48 hours,)It saves running up and down flights of stairs. miraculous! Your going to need a carpet, bind it and use it for tummy time, there good to know its clean and there's no animal fur so roll it wherever so you can enjoy the time while he explores!
I just stumbled across your channel and i´m awestruck by what you have accomplished. Your style and attention to detail really do the house justice. I´m sure the previous owners would be very happy to see it so well taken care of. The bedroom looks great and must feel very cozy. Thank you for the great vlogs!
Family is everything. I am a caregiver for my 89 year old mother. My case worker for her care and to provide support for me gave me advice that may help you both. Schedule on the calendar time each week to step away from both of your houses. It can be even for an hour. Ideas might be to Pack a picnic in the park, go to a pub, a date for dinner, or a spa day. For family maybe an afternoon tea or BBQ lunch or tapas /taco bar(I live in Arizona and it is taco Tuesday tonight). One thing, I would recommend is no filming content otherwise it will seem like work. The room looks fantastic! Home ownership/design is never ending. I have been 14 years in my home. The hardest part is editing out the stuff to donate or trash. Not that with all your space that could be a problem. 😂. Cheers to your success!
A beautiful modern update that brings an airy and fresh feel to the room, with just the right amount of character and historical touches to please the eye. Chef's kiss gentlemen, chef's kiss!
Mum’s love to help. It’s lovely to include your Mum in the vlog. Seeing you both so excited when you finished lining the first drawer. So cute. The room is gorgeous. 💕💫💕
Stunning, stunning bedroom. I love that you have left the drawers with only a coat of wax😍you can see it’s life. Been binge watching for 1 week now. Cannot wait for the next one, so hard not to watch the newest ones first tho😂😂I want to see Dante💙💙
LOVELY room! I would only make these 2 tiny suggestions. Anytime you are working with old drawers/dressers. Either clear coat the inside or paint the inside of the drawers, otherwise, the fabric will maintain the old drawer scents. Additionally all the pictures lean towards horizontal which make the room appear short in height. Maybe source a few vertical types. :)
Thanks for the tips! 😊😊😊 It has very very high ceilings so we did want it to make it feel cosier 😊 Never thought about the paint or coating and makes total sense!
Fabulous bedroom love the carpet short cut, brilliant draw linings thanks for tip, and remember Guilt is the gift that keeps on giving let go Mothers just love being with their children no matter what age or what we do with them ❤
Loved the one on one with you guys and the discussion of all of your ideas. Your attention to detail is inspiring. Thank you for the video. You make an enormous task doable. It gives me hope with my own projects and endeavors.
Loving this channel and the house looks amazing 💕 One tip…if you colour wax old furniture after sanding, use very fine wire wool to apply the wax. It pushes it down into the grain. x
@@mytinyestate Another one you might need…from my late Dad who was a master carpenter….if you fit architrave around doorways, tack them on with panel pins and leave them for a couple of weeks or more. Then get the panel pins out, push the joints together at the corners which will have appeared, and then pin them permanently.
Another beautiful beautiful episode ❤ you are so lucky to have your wonderful mums to help ❤ I love the new completed bedroom, truly stunning! Those paintings add to the magic! Xx
Addicted to your channel and Saving The Manor! My question is with the great lengths you go to adding historical character back into these homes, why do you use so much carpeting instead of embracing wood floors and using rugs?
Thank you! Well unfortunately the Dower House which was the latest property we acquired, was real really badly mondwrnised 30 years ago, so there was nothing original, we added hardwood flooring downstairs but in the bedrooms we have added carpet as it’s very comfortable and helps with sound proofing ☺️
Is so refreshing to see the joy and love you guys bring into each others life❤ your home is truly full of love. You must be so proud to share it with your families and Friends😊
The bedroom and en-suite look amazing you’ve really cracked it. An observation, I think I would have had the electrician move the double socket from low down behind the new bed.
Why is your vacuum so adorable!! A little orange elephant ❤ 👏👏👏 Gorgeous work! Love the green velvet on the headboard, it’s manly but cozy and very British. You’re making memories with your moms, now every time you open that drawer you’ll think of her or every time you look out at the nicely cut lawn. They just wanna spend time with you it doesn’t matter how.
Now THIS! Is just what I needed!! Love your channel guys. The bedroom looks so good, and because of the fact Borja loves the drawer linings I think a tweed throw would look amazing on your bed.
I guess if you had placed the hooks onto a timber backing first, and then drilled guide holes into the timber vertical you detected, and then screwed the whole unit into the timber, you might not have cracked the lime plaster. But, nothing is without risk in this sort of a renovation. I'm still in awe at the quality of your renovation.
