Boy that is one PHAT TIP! I can see how to 3-up gang slit rubber bands (big ones) which is what I need to do. I'll use 2 PPE plates and just space them with pieces of the band itself. Low friction. I'll slit the end with a jigsaw and insert the blades there. I'll screw the assembly down with the rubber band started, insert the blades, and pull it around. We'll see how it goes. 💥
Making end trim for multi-wall greenhouse panel and needed a cheaper solution than the overpriced $2/ft U-channel at the big box store. Plus I can shape the tubing however I want and use a heat gun to remold it.
Simply brilliant. I have a project where i need to protect several edges with spilt tube and now I have a solution. Thank you!!!

Much better than what I was about to try. Thanks.
What a winner. I love this solution. I wish I had seen the before cut the guts out of my fingers.
Kick assery! Thanks!
That's such a simple fix, it's definitely not complicated enough for me to have thought up lol. Thanks.

Thank you!!!
Very clever!
Great!!
damn that was sweet
great idea, I am going to make one. he is right about not a straight cut and cutting your fingers.
VERY INGENIUS !!!!
would work for stripping copper wire too
Not really. I've never had to split anything lengthwise to go through a firewall. Would you use that as a loom mechanism or something?
works like a blunt splitter lol
Why would you split rubber tubing? No really, tell me because I don't know.
To slide over the exposed edge of a sheet or corrugated metal used for things like raised beds.
You use it for a split wire loom.
