Messing With Charles Vane In Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag

Mission/Memory: Marooned
I'm having tons of fun finding ways/exploits to "break" missions in this game.
I recorded a few clips while replayin this memory whenever I found something noteworthy/funny.
Here's the most interesting/entertaining part in my opinion (aside from another clip where Edward gets stuck swimming underground while Vane and a jaguar try to get to him).
Having Edward climb that rock was really difficult, you need to run in a very specific direction in order to prevent him from slipping down.
Not to mention doing that in a small timeframe between each shot from Charles Vane.
An interesting fact is that while I was trying to climb that rock, Vane kept shooting at Edward in the back but Edward didn't die even if his health was low (it could be some sort of failsafe measure by the devs, I don't know) and he kept throwing grenades in the opposite direction as if Edward was hiding behind the walls scattered in the area.
I thought that defeating Vane in this section would soft lock the game, preventing me to complete the memory. It seems that is not the case.
