As I don't think they specifically mention it, the expansion they used in the video (For the figures) is the 'Extreme Danger' pack.
The base game comes with 6 generic figures, but included most of the specialist roles, while this expansion added in the matching figures, along with a bunch of features introduced in the other expansions.
Like the other expansions. it also gives you new maps, and also threw in an optional extra level, giving you more ground to cover, but also upping the difficulty.
@Matthew Haycock do you know if the figures are custom painted or if they come painted in the expansion? i found very little info on this online.
They have been painted specially for this video. They come unpainted in the box.

This show is great. I've watched nearly every episode of this, and it inspired me to start playing more board games. I never would have bought the handful of board games I own now if I hadn't seen them be played on this show. Keep up the great work Wil!

Hmm, at 10:50 I'm not sure you can flip fire back to smoke if it's next to fire. I was fairly certain that smoke turning into fire when next to fire is instant and automatic - therefore you have to spend 2AP to fully extinguish the fire, rather than if it was on its own... but it's been a while since I've played :)
One of my favorite games here.
Did they not place a hot spot on the hazmat when it exploded? Check that, happens later on.
Also smoke that is adjacent to fire become fire at end of turn.

It was the second turn of the game when they were ignoring flashover rules and it was annoying me!

Well, a heavily based dice game with Wil Wheaton. I'm saddened that I knew the result as I read the game name.
I do love the cinematic possibilities in this game. The last one we played included a firefighter heroically chopping through a wall where a person was trapped, entering the room...and hauling their stupid propane tank outside where it wouldn't explode.
Somewhere in the world, someone just won the lottery to counterbalance the misfortune of dicerolls done by Wil Wheaton

Your timing is great. I am in Nursing School, and it is at the start of final exam season for critical care. A significant amount of my studies in that course is dedicated to the care of shock and burn victims. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of rapid, appropriate care. And all the fun! Morale increased!

This is my #1 go to for any friends who come over and are not "board-gamers". "Easy" setting is great to get a flow. They definitely played the hardest settings. If you want to get friends into board games can't recommend this one enough.
Please do more co-op games (Big Book of Madness or Centennials of the Multiverse)!

What they need in the background is the nondescript mumblings of firefighters from Rescue 51 on the show Emergency. It was always played when the firemen were fighting the big fire that happened in every episode. Still one of the best shows from the 70's. And medical accurate many of the drugs and methods are still in use today, 40 years later.
"I have mixed feelings about saving this meth-frat house" should become a gif.
If Kelly just had her cousins from Tokyo to do their awesome dance like in "Welcome to Tokyo", then they would put out all the fire by sheer awesomeness.

When it comes to guest this ep has probably the best guest line up.
It is great, but 'Best" is a hard call. I'm often very impressed, even when it's folks I've never heard of before.
I've been re-playing KOTOR 2 and every time Kelly speaks all I hear is Visas Marr. That's a good thing.

Shame you didn't have the structural engineer card (from one of the expansions). They cam use 2 AP to remove damage from a wall back to the draw pile. (Also, they can remove hotspots). One of my favorite role cards.
True, but they can't put out fire, so they have to have good teamwork.

I love all TableTop videos, but this is easily my favorite. You guys made me laugh out loud more than once...and as an owner of Flash Point and all its expansions, I can attest to how difficult this game can be! Doesn't the building collapse when you need a grab a black cube but there isn't any left? So they could have played more.

That's true. Still a great game. Especially for intro to board games, the rules can be explained quickly.
Definitely a good introductory boardgame. It was one of the first I played after a friend introduced me to it, bought myself a copy as soon as I could.
Quick enough to pick up the rules, and can offer a good amount of replayability thanks to the dice rolls helping to make each session different.
Actually they did that thing right. Rules state that you lose when you have put out all damage cubes - not when you have run out of them. So yeah, they stopped playing at the right time. Still a few cringeworthy moments, tho

This is one of my favorite boardgames and my goto gateway game. Even though I think they mixed a few too many variants in for a first game (if this is their first game), i like this playthough. I'm usually the one to parse fire rolls and I also get all happily excited if explosions happen. Found it nice that Wil also got that going

Whenever Seth Green speaks, I can't put Joker out of my head... Especially since I've played ME3 like 5 times now.
I love how when Wil explains of how to play the game, he uses the pronoun "she" for the player. Thank you from all the lady gamers out there. This little use of terminology helps subtly change the way people subconsciously think about gamers and how women can love games just as much as their male counterparts.

No, it's just clumsy and confusing. 'He' is the generic pronoun, using 'she' as a political statement just sacrifices clarity for an empty gesture.

I thought about this too. I bet firefighters playing this game would find it extremely unrealistic. I mean, you shouldn't open a door next to an open flame. It will explode.

yes she was, in seasons 4 and 5 for a few episodes.
bladedush yeah, I realized pretty much right away after hearing her voice a little more in the video. She took over the B&B after Arthur killed Leena.
And to those who are upset about "spoilers", the show ended a few years ago.
Frank Lein I loved Warehouse 13, but I don't like how they rushed the last season.
I knew she sounded more familiar than the movies she mentioned. I rewatched Warehouse 13 much more recently than X2 or Scorpion King.
Got this game as a gift about a year ago, have yet to get it to the table. This playthrough just makes me want to play it more
I saw the title and i was like, "Cool, playing DC superheroes sucked into an alternate reality created accidentally by the Flash". Then i stated the video and was a little disappointed.

Doom Whale really? I already liked the game before I found that out. But once I'd seen that he was the voice for Joker I had to play the second and third one. Course I had to wait for them to come out, because I was playing on PlayStation but...
This is why they put the names of the VAs in the credits. Or would you rather have them flash the names of the characters along with their VAs under the screen when they're first introduced?
Doom Whale Joker was one of my favorite characters. They should do a flight sim spinoff starring him lol.
They probably were planning to make a Normandy Flight Sim, but since Joker's disease practically makes him a paraplegic, It probably wasn't made with good taste. It was a surprise to briefly play as him in ME2, and the tragedy that had befallen on him in ME3 really broke most of our hearts, I kinda wished Bioware let us tell Joker the bad news, so we can see him like how he imagined himself during the Cerberus Attack on the Citadel in the Citadel DLC.
I've had this game on my wishlist for - what it feels like - forever and am so hyped to see it played here!
