Hi guyssss! I want to put a quick disclaimer out here that this video is centered around my personal experience with weight loss recently! Everything is not for everybody and that’s okay! Take what you feel resonates with you and your current lifestyle! Feel free to share any tips to help the girlies out and please let me know if you have any additional questions below! 💕 CHICKEN RECIPE HERE at 31:42: th-cam.com/video/5cN3wGRsD-U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NtPxjKySo4bbO6UA I’ll be following up next week with an “all things fitness & mindset” video! 🤗
Some people don’t understand how walking helps your body tremendously. Years ago I lost 45 pounds just by walking and dancing. Now I’m at my highest weight ever and I am going to take it back to the basics which is walking and dancing again. of course nutrition plays a big part of it. So I’m watching what I put in my mouth but not depriving myself. You don’t need a workout plan, you don’t need a gym, you don’t need the latest detox tea. All you need is a balanced meal and movement . Congrats on your weight loss.
I definitely need this video, I’ve had a stressful few months and I’m at my heaviest, and feel really uncomfortable. Thank you for sharing your tips with us Janet🙏🏻
This video was definitely encouraging. I’m 28 now, I’ve gained about 35 lbs since 2020 and I’ve been in this gain and lose 5lbs cycle. This oct I got diagnosed with pre-diabetes and I just feel heavy and getting joint pain. It freaking sucks. I’m really trying. But I really appreciate this video and you sharing.
Literally me. I’m gonna be 28 in a few months. I’ve never been slim or fit but I care more about my overall health and longevity of life rather than what I look like. It’s just really hard for me to be disciplined enough to do what I need to do. I know I can lose weight, I’ve done it before I’m just not disciplined enough to stick with it
That 30 weight loss struggle is different it’s so good for us to learn this now so that we already understand the discipline needed as we age. I’m 7 pounds away from my goal… I’m loading up on protein, fruits and veggies and have cut my pasta & rice intake down significantly… I do still eat them but my serving sizes are not as large as they used to be.
I’m also a barista and one thing people don’t realize is the calories in the milk. If your looking for something lower calorie try an americano with a splash of cream instead of a latter. It can cut the calories by literally hundreds depending on the size. Also if you do still want a flavor in your coffee get less pumps, and don’t get sauces (white mocha, mocha, caramel sauce, caramel brûlée , et c) those are way higher calorie. Instead stick to a syrup like vanilla, or I like brown sugar syrup.
@@sandraleyva1169hey also barista honestly what she suggested is the best option otherwise a latte with ordinary milk or something that doesn’t have to much additives. If you like coffee you can train yourself to like it simple I did it
You look amazing Janet💕 Not because you lost weight, but because you have a beautiful inner glow and you seem so at peace, and I love that for you💕 Thank you for sharing your journey 🫶🏾✨☺️
You look amazing! That’s awesome ugh needed this motivation. I’m currently 175 and I really want to go back to 150 🥺 I start and fall off again… But this definitely motivated me to stop making excuses 🤩
Girl I was in the same boat this past June! I got annual blood test results and this time it said I was in the pre-diabetic range. It was definitely a wake up call. Fast forward to this past month and I’m down almost 10 pounds, cleaned up my diet/almost eliminated sugars and now I’m back in the normal range as well. There’s definitely more to go but it feels great to be on the right track. Good luck on your journey as well! 💖💪🏻
I loved how you explained body changes! We constantly have to relearn our bodies. There were so many times where I had been stuck not understanding why my body was reacting differently to things I would do all the time. Great video!
Congratulations! I lived in South Korea and there’s a big difference in food and activity in other countries compared to America. It’s insane. I’m getting my masters to become a registered dietitian and I want to help people how to eat and maintain their weight because a lot of this stuff we just didn’t grow up knowing
The whole time I've followed u throughout your journey, I've always thought u were beautiful and glowing. I'm happy for u that u were able to do this in a healthy way. I also really appreciate your positivity. On many days when I watch one of your videos, I feel more positive and motivated. I just wanted to tell u that.
OMG!! Not sweets people but you said it!! Don't buy It!! Love hearing that. I got rid of all of our high carb, processed foods and my boyfriend is taking them to work with him and people are going to appreciate it rather than me throwing things out. Thank you so much! Such an inspiration!
I've come back to this video for the second time because I have currently fallen off my weight loss journey and just regained the 8 pounds I worked so hard to lose the last few months which has me so down on myself but your video makes me feel so seen and because of that gives me motivation that I can get back on my journey again. Thank you for being so authentic and relatable!
Don’t be scared or frustrated with plateaus! 40 pounds is a lot of weight gone, your body needs time to solidify that weight and learn how to operate in a while different way. You’re doing great!
*Your dedication and hard work are truly inspiring, and your story motivates others to believe in their own ability to make positive changes. Keep up the amazing work!*
I was just telling someone working out is the easy part. Nutrition is so hard, but I'm committing 2024 to having a better relationship with food. Thanks for the video, you look amazing.
Isn't that sad how teachers don't get much? Bittersweet - atleast the weight gain isn't there! I am a teacher so I appreciate these videos. I'm struggling with my weight. I stress eat and binge because I don't get to really eat at school because I am still supervising while I eat. Thank you for sharing!
Definitely watching the wrong content will derail you. I lost a lot of weight 4 years ago (125lbs) got in new job in surgery and all the food around and work schedule changing didn’t help I have put on 40 lbs and terrible knee pain . 😢 I literally refused to get on scale until today. I cannot allow myself to go back down that road again. I got me a food scale again and I’m back on fitness pal. I just feel like I need encouragement constantly which is sad. Anyway thank you for this video I needed it today.
Congratulations on your weight loss. Hard work and determination you will always get results. I love how you're considering other people's feelings when you're talking weight loss. Like you said everyone is different. I does fasting and it's working amazing for me. Thank you so much for sharing all of those positive videos.
All of this. I’m vegetarian so the protein part is little different for me but I found I was a lot fuller and my cravings went 100% away when I started making sure I got enough fiber. It is the most magical feeling in the world when you finally have ur body under control. Literally everything you said I started doing a few months ago I swear to god my experience was the same even down to the pre diabetes 😂 Such a game changer.
Girl, you nailed this video. I've watched almost every video you've uploaded since ive been subscribed to your channel (a long time ago. Lol), but this video hit different. I dont usually do long comments, but I have to give credit where credit is due. This video is amazing!! This entire video was facts. Thank you for speaking on how difficult it is to hit those goals as you get older. And you're right once you hit 25, then 30 things don't move like they used too😂 but it's not a bad thing. It just means you have to do things differently and find what works for you. Lastly, thank you for being honest about ITFYM, because that does not work for everyone. All of that to say this was a GREAT VIDEO and THANK YOU for your honesty🩷🩷🫶🏾
Thanks for the tips, loved hearing someone finally talk about how not everyone just needs to work out...many of us really need to focus on our calories to become aware of habits etc in order to lose weight...your strategy is so simple and realistic and its just what I needed to hear...Im 40 with 5 pregnancies under my belt and its a whole new ball game at this stage 😂 All the best!
Great video! Funnily enough my weight loss journey also started with an unintended weight loss from a trip to Paris!! 🇫🇷😱 I lost 10 pounds because I as well didn’t eat as much and also I walked 10-30 K a day. I was inspired and walked 10K a day and then I also incorporated a cleanse shot juice (I made), ate smaller portions (home cooked meals), cut out coke, reduced sugar, started drinking a green juice (Subi powder and water) then started an anti bloating water (green tea, lemon, water). In all I’ve lost almost 30 pounds in like 6 months!
@@HarleyQuinzel7 I made this recipe from this video but I also added lemon as well. My coworker also tried this after noticing my weight loss and has also lost weight!th-cam.com/video/w454QJWeOPk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BTxJOguI6KszqxDv
Glad I watched this! I decided to reevaluate my diet a couple months ago to lose some weight. I started working at a bakery last year and put on almost 30lbs😮💨 So I def relate to the product of your environment topic and sweet overload. US foods and drinks are LOADED with carbs and sugars. If you moderate your sweets, increase healthy foods and exercise you should notice a change! Cut down on those lattes y'all. You're drinking at least half the daily recommended value of sugar in a small or medium👀...
Appreciate the video, as I was jumping on my stepper and debating if I even want to workout. Turned on your video and got it done. Love you and your videos. Very helpful. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I felt my best when I was vegan. I cut sugar where I could and consumed vegetables like it was my job, lol. I walked SO much. Brb while I take inspo from my past self lol. Loved your take on weight loss/health
What’s been helping my sugar cravings is waiting 20 minutes once the craving hits, usually I don’t want it anymore AND do NOT have them in the house. If i do I bake and gift it, to avoid the extra processing.
Congrats on reaching your goal!! Great video! However, I do think it is possible to eat whatever you want and still lose weight. I did by counting my macros and lost 100 lbs (and have kept it off since 2017 except during my pregnancy in 2018) It really comes down to portion control and moderation and if you remain in your caloric deficit you’ll still lose weight while not having to be so restrictive.
Thank you so much 🤗❤️ congratulations to you as well! Truthfully, we’re not eating “whatever we want”. We still have to count macros to lose weight and that is quite limiting when you think about. I meant to say - there is a limit. You can’t eat a whole box of pizza and a dozen cookies daily while working out and expect to lose weight. Hope this clears that up 🤗
Girl!!! Literally spitting bars!!!! 😭🤣omg im 32 and have been trying loose over and over loose weight, and I was beginning to think that maybe it was something wrong with my body or something!!!! This Isshh is so hard at 32😩 I literally have a walking pad I was using at home to get my 10 k steps in, 2 weeks ago, I stopped using after my husband commented that walking isn’t enough exercise to loose weight lmao I got discouraged and felt walking wasn’t enough. But after seeing this video, I took walking back up again, wish me luck 😂 I love you and your content, your the best!

Omg me casually watching this while on my phone and seeing my photo pop up 😂😂 as a follow up, I noticed my weight loss stopped stalling when I stopped getting mango dragonfruit lemonades before and after my shifts (about 50g of sugar for a venti, and I’d get them TWICE each day I was working 😅). I never thought about all the ingredients before working there, so I totally get that people may not realize about them!
Lol, I saw your comment b4 she talked bout the sugary drinks..I didn't get it! I had to comeback and comment coz now it made sense 😂. Thanks for sharing coz lot of us are hooked up on these drinks..we need a balance frfr
Girl that’s my job… especially around the holidays. We have parties and people that we do business with bring donuts, scones, cakes, cookies etc… and it’s hard. But I’m determined that next month will be the beginning of consistency for me.
Yes girl!! The holidays are the hardest!! One thing that helped me was meal prepping and bringing healthy snacks because I was definitely a snacker at work, so bringing my own helped me have more self control but it’s still hard😂😂
Fried eggs are my go to breakfast. I throw quezo fresco (i guess feta works too) before the egg to give it that beautiful crispiness and tastes amazing.
I’m blessed to have found your channel I feel like I can connect with you in so many ways every time I watch your videos I’m like wow this is exactly what I feel. Your inspirational thank you
I feel you! I wasn’t ready a few months ago too. I let myself do what I wanted until the time was right and I wouldn’t change a thing! Take your time 💕
Adore your content and so appreciated the reminder to only watch this video if you're in a healthy mental mindset to talk numbers and scales ❤ celebrating your wins!!!!
Absolutely one of the best and most informative vlogs out there with regards to losing weight. Everything you said, I resonated with. Especially the parts about putting stress on your body through over exercising and not everyone can eat what they want. I am hypothyroid and inflammation is my weakness. I also suffer from fibromyalgia. So when I go hard exercising I end up hurting myself and not being able to exercise for a week. I have now discovered walking and Pilates and that has been easier on the body. Lost 6 pounds this month. That is a win for me 🎉 I just signed up for my fitness pal. Thanks for sharing ❤
Great video. You look great. I am currently doing Whole30, which cuts out processed food, dairy, added sugar, rice, and legumes. Because of the reduction in sugar and dairy my skin is finally clearing up. I don’t experience those sugar crashes anymore that kept me in the bed. The program is 30 days, but I’m thinking I will extend it to about 90 days. I’ve realized this way of eating is the best for me, personally, as I don’t experience the major bloating anymore and severe stomach distress from food. I’ve found some delicious recipes that I keep on a weekly rotation.
I am happy to know i'm not the only one that fears getting kidnapped. but this was so good. and motivational. i believe in a lot of the things that you said, and i'm happy to know that these ideas work, so i'm going to implement them.

I love watching these! I also recently hit my weight goal (back to baseline) and the amount of SUGAR that’s in literally EVERYTHING is insane. Like mayonnaise?! WHY 😂
This morning I planned to to to gym by 5am packed my gym clothes and the rain was pouring hard. 😢I slept and my back has been aching me to go back to gym. I literally got into TH-cam and looked for your for motivation ❤
The crazy thing about milk alternatives is the major brands are filled with sugar. That’s what makes them taste so good. Making milk alternatives yourself is your best bet that or animal milk.
Hii!! I love your videos, definitely am learning a lot from you!! ❤ I was curious if you could maybe make a hair video? I would love to go back to having long straight hair but I don’t know how attainable it is if I will be working out often. Would love to hear how you maintain it ☺️

I'm from Houston, Texas, and yes, we are very sedentary, and the streets are lonely. It's hard to feel safe walking, and the summers are super hot
You look so good Janet! I mean you always look but, but I can see the confidence shining 🎉 I needed this video. I’m 130 currently trying to go down 20lbs coz I’m only 5’1 and my body carries weight in my middle😅. Thank you for posting
me too girlll!
Thank you so much for this!!! I needed some motivation and this gave me that!
I just came back from Austin! So nice to relate to someone who has struggled with eczema all their life and had to quit running bc of the hunger pains 😅 Thank you so much for all of your tips! They are golden
Can I just tell you how HELPFUL THIS VIDEO IS!!!! Omg! Thank you!
This video was actually helpful! I appreciate you. I’m struggling and this video was motivating. ❤
@@janet.ndomahinapray for my strength 😂
Fried eggs are my go to breakfast. I throw quezo fresco (i guess feta works too) before the egg to give it that beautiful crispiness and tastes amazing.
Last meal at 6pm is the best
With an evening walk.

So proud of you! You look amazing 💜 💜
This was a very helpful and honest video! Thank you ❤
Looking better & better each video sis!!!!!
That is a win for me 🎉
I just signed up for my fitness pal.
Happy for you for meeting your goal! 🥳
Felt this. Cutting sugar would help me tremendously right now.
Your hair laidddddddd, congratulations on reaching your goal!!!!
This was a really great video! Great info & tips! Thank you! 💕
I’ve recently started doing 16:8 and I love it

YESSS LETS BE LEAN + STRONG!! I will see you in March, currently reverse dieting to get my calories up because I'm a fellow shortie (5'1) and then hitting it hard in March! Lets do this guys!!
I love watching these! I also recently hit my weight goal (back to baseline) and the amount of SUGAR that’s in literally EVERYTHING is insane. Like mayonnaise?! WHY 😂
Sugar in mayo is crazy!!! 😂😂 I can’t believe what’s in our food these days! I hate reading labels too much because it ruins everything 😂
Also congrats on hitting your goal! ❤️You should be so proud 🤗🤗
@@janet.ndomahina Congrats to you too! It feels so nice to be back where your body feels best :)
Girl you looking good!
This morning I planned to to to gym by 5am packed my gym clothes and the rain was pouring hard. 😢I slept and my back has been aching me to go back to gym. I literally got into TH-cam and looked for your for motivation ❤
Omggg I have a 5am morning routine uploading today 🙈❤️
Thank you will definitely watch tomorrow!!
Thank you for this video and your tips Sis I appreciate it. I know that everybody body types are different, so your tips are helpful.
This is a fantastic video! Thanks so much ❤❤❤
The crazy thing about milk alternatives is the major brands are filled with sugar. That’s what makes them taste so good. Making milk alternatives yourself is your best bet that or animal milk.
That is so true.. I'm so glad you said it...
❤we love u Janet
Love you too 🥹🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾
Love this hair girlll ❤
Omg!! I didn’t know you’re in Austin! Me too :) love your vids!!! Hopefully I run into you on one of your walks!
Hii!! I love your videos, definitely am learning a lot from you!! ❤ I was curious if you could maybe make a hair video? I would love to go back to having long straight hair but I don’t know how attainable it is if I will be working out often. Would love to hear how you maintain it ☺️
I used to work at a bank too, and it’s so true about the food!!! That break room was dangerous!! 😂
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO 💜
I would add, to curve sugar craving and increase hydration, drinking sugar free Gatorade has been amazing for the electrolytes.
Sorry everyone on here, this video is for me lol. Dear this was extremely an amazing video love you for this one❤
I’m 5’5” and struggling to lose 20lbs. I’m 140 and I don’t feel good at all. Thank you for the tips!
