A family reunion, wedding, funeral, church potluck staple. ❤️👍
Save yourself the extra bowl and just mix it all directly into the crockpot. 😊❤

    Hello you two!
I’ll try not to make this too long, but I just HAD to finally comment.
I have binge watched almost everyone of your videos in the last week. I’m not even sure how I landed on your channel. Well, actually “But by the Grace of God”
I have sat and cried some of the most beautiful tears watching, and listening to the two of you. Here’s why:
You remind me so very much of my own Father & Mother. My Father passed 16 yrs ago now. I miss him everyday. He was the primary cook in our home. He loved baking and cooking both. So so many of the things you do, down to how you scrape all of the goodness from each dish, reminds me of him. He was born and raised in North Dakota on a farm, with seven other siblings. And his Mother, my Grandmother could cook!
My Father told me for years, as I watched and learned in the kitchen… that I reminded him of his Mother, my Grandmother. ( in the kitchen)
Every type of food has a memory for me, along with holidays and occasions. But, I have NEVER met someone who reminded me of my Father more than you have. The last week or so has given me more joy in remembering him than I have had in sometime.
Last night I made no bake cookies. I sat and told him I’d found a no fail recipe, and they were perfect!
Today as I watched this meatball video, I had to comment. He and I made this exact recipe. We made them every year for family game day, a few days before Christmas. We doubled the batch, and we would do half of the cranberry sauce & half grape jelly. I’m telling you it’s the best of both worlds. We were so excited when we figured it out. So when I watched this today, I just laughed with my Daddy, and cried a bit with love in my soul for this amazing, Godly influence in my life. And I felt this still small voice saying I should somehow share my simple story with you.
I would love to share some amazing, and easy recipes of our families with you. I think you would love them.
My hubby & I just relocated to Saint Augustine, Florida from North Idaho. We followed our youngest daughter and family here.
Anyways, I hope you’ll see my comment. I can’t begin to tell you what a blessing you’ve both been to me and my hubby. We’ve been married 37 years.
We Love Jesus, and we value family, and treasure a simple life.
    God Bless you both
    Dawn Hirst
I’ll try to comment as I make your recipes. We just went to the store today, and will attempt Mac & Cheese with that surprise ingredient of cottage cheese.
I hope it turns out yummy!

I’ve been making these for Christmas Eve snacks since 1981. I use cocktail sausages as well. This recipe is in the 1970 Betty Crocker cookbook. I also made cheese pennies, broccoli dip, chicken salad puffs. The grand children still ask for these at Christmas time.

For 30 years I have made the meatballs using whole cranberry sauce (2 cans) and 1jar of spaghetti sauce. I was almost always asked to bring it to potlucks once even for a friend’s son’s rehearsal dinner. I will try it with chili sauce soon. Note: I have never premixed, just dump on top of meatballs and stir once after meatballs have thawed.

08:30 The "locks" are only to be used for traveling not to be used while cooking.
"If you have a locking lid feature on your glass lid it's extremely important to never lock the lid during the cooking process. Locking the lid during cooking, will keep the steam in -producing pressure --which could affect the slow cooker's performance."

Heard of it with grape jelly but not cranberry sauce so I will definitely use cranberry sauce next time. I usually have cranberry juice in my fridge, which I would probably swish a little swig of in the chili sauce jar to get every bit out. Looks yummy 😋! Thanks ‼️

I heard another youtuber say the clamps on the slowcooker lid are for transporting food and shouldnt be used when cooking according to instructions. I haven't had my instructions for years so I don't know how accurate it is but thought I'd pass it on just in case.

She used raw ground beef to make small meatballs, and in a saucepan she’d put grape jelly, a bottle of chili sauce and the raw meatballs, and cook it on low to medium until the meatballs were done, then serve them with toothpicks as an appetizer. There’s many options for the cranberries
    Apricot Preserves
    Mango Jam
    Raspberry Jam
    Apple or Grape Jelly
I would suggest using Cranberry Sauce and not the Jelly, for a more intense flavour.
FYI in Canada Walmart offers both all Beef and Pork meatballs.
The Pork ones are much better. I’m not certain if this is the same south of the border!

Making these now. We done them twice before in the past few weeks one with cranberry and one with the grape jelly. It’s a split decision!! Tonight I am doing it all. I put in a full can of cranberry, chili sauce…about half of a jar and about a 1/4 cup jelly and a 1/4 cup bbq sauce…I’ll let you know what happens!! I also used a little orange juice to swish my chili sauce jar out with. Just enough to get the sauce out…fingers crossed it’s as good as the original!

I will try this recipe. I normally make it with the grape jelly. I add a little red pepper flakes and hot sauce. The crock pot bags make clean up easy, too.

Since our daughter was tiny (3) our Christmas Eve has been a Birthday party for Jesus. Not sure how it started,😃
My daughter and son are both grandparents now and our celebration has grown as our family has.
A friend from Church gave me this recipe (the grape jelly version). The recipe had the way to make the meatballs and said to serve them with small rolls. That's how we made them for years!
Well, the rolls are no longer made and thank heaven for frozen meatballs, but our Christmas Eve party just wouldn't be the same without these!
Take cars and have a great Thanksgiving!

Sometime, try “Bavarian Meatballs” - it’s a jar of chili sauce, a can of whole berry cranberry sauce, a can of sauerkraut and about a half cup of brown sugar. Sounds weird, but they are fantastic.

This looks delicious , I’ve had the grape jelly and BBQ sauce many times but I’m gonna make them this way , I know they would be yuummy ! I think if you rinse the bottle out with about a cup of water and add 1tsp of corn starch dear loved in the bottle with water you would still have a thick sauce but would have more sauce and less chance of sticking ! Also I use my leftover meatballs on toasted hotdog buns topped with sautéed onions and green bell peppers or topped with either cheese sauce or shredded cheese ( I use mozzarella) and under the broiler a couple of minutes to melt the cheese , or 20-30 seconds in the microwave ! Thank you for all your videos , I love them ! God bless ❤️🙏🙋🏻🌈🌈

We've always called jellied cranberry sauce in the can "Cranberry Log" for how it looks on the table out the can. We make these more for appetizers and naturally call them Cranberry Log Balls.

I make one that has equal parts of chili sauce (I use a bottle of Heinz brand) and a good grape jelly (not jam). Put in meatballs (yours or frozen) add to a slow cooker until the meat balls are cooked/heated through. A great pot luck addition. 🇨🇦🇨🇦. (Just saw someone else posted this recipe).

We have never used frozen meatballs. I always thought they would taste horrible but if you guys use them they must be good. I do have to add that my hubby does a meatball that is the best I have ever ate. His meatballs are smaller and taste so good even with no sauce, so I may try this recipe with his version of meatballs. God Bless!
