The thing I like about Kyle is he's humble. Works at one of the baddest engine shops in the country yet still uses budget parts and understands this stuff is expensive. Reuse timing chain and lifters rather than throw parts out just cause he has access to better parts. Love the budget minded side that so many of us relate to.

    True hot rodders spirit.....
A little from here, something left over from there, make this work........great stuff
Anybody can throw $ and buy the best
To actually engineer parts to work together......thats great training for one day you can come up and help your dad manage SM engines and make him proud.......he already holds you in high esteem and as a father, i can tell.
To leave you alone to manage high $ engine dyno and tune takes a lot of confidence in your ability......
    Well done.

I did change head gaskets as often as most people change oil on Sunday, so she had a car to drive on Monday AM. I've done it on the side of the road in 12 hours with only hand tools).

Kyle: I'm 70 years old and I find your channel more interesting than your dad's. No offense, he's doing some amazing things with those two engine programs he's producing. That thin wall Hank you run in the blue car impresses me with its performance with it being a more realistic build and all. The highs and lows, you actually figuring out the quirks instead of just pouring money at it like a real hot rodder should. Keep up the good work and content.

Hes easier to relate with. 99% of people will never be able to own a smx or sml let alone have one powering a big tire chassis car. I always look at SBF stuff with interest. My 1985 ski boat, that I bought from the factory rep in 1987, has a Ford engine. It's reverse rotation and the 351W marine Fords of the era maxed out at 240hp. So are the easy to obtain drop in marine replacements. It's a little frustrating. In 1985 you paid $600 1985 dollars and got 40hp if you opted for an SBC. Now of course you can get some pretty nice reverse rotation drop in power for SBC equipped boats. I don't barefoot as much as I used to. But a little extra power is nice for pulling up fat guys on slalom skis. Ski boats live under 5000rpm. So I'll wait for the never gonna happen day when Kyle does a here's my SBF truck engine rundown on how I get an SBF to pull race trailers through the mountains video, because he would use boost. Why we drink.
