Additives (fuel or oil) make me nervous. The car manufacturers, oil manufacturers and fuel manufacturers spend a fortune testing everything, developing standards, testing that things meet the standards. How do we know what has or hasn't been tested with any given additive? what it might damage, etc.? The video at 19:14 even shows that the fuel cap says "no additives". BMW are nervous too! It doesn't say "no additives apart from Launch whatever, which will make everything last much longer".
your note about 19:14 it's simple to explain: dealers want to things have a short life to obligate customers to go to the dealership...bmw gearboxes also have another funny quote which is "gearbox lifetime oil" or something like that, sure, that's why outside the gearbox have a sticker saying the type of oil used...if it's lifetime oil, why the reference to the oil since it's filled up in the factory?
@@luispalma8029 Well even if it was lifetime (not saying that's a good idea), you'd still need to know what to put in if it gets a leak, or you have to change the cooler and lose some fluid, or whatever. Hey Steve! Thank you for watching our shenanigans 😂 To answer you question, it’s more beneficial to use the TECD AFTER the service, though it doesn’t really matter. By adding on the last part that chemical in the fuel tank , that will go back to the engine, I prefer how you done the first time when you drain the whole old oil .. because now you picked up all debris from the bottom of the fuel tank , back to engine again, I say you should leave it as it is with fuel tanks specially that might eat the whole tank and make a pinholes…. If you want clean tank , use BP garage fuel or Shell , if you go for Jet fuel , any supermarket fuel or any other company, your engine will fall apart quickly … because that fuel is not filtered properly and has less additives to keep it nice and clean and prolong your engine life .
Yes mate Mannol is cheap but it's fine. The key is do the oil changes regular. Ignore the comments about Russian Oil. It's German oil Low Saps C3 dexos2 and never had a issue with it. I will be changing my Oil next month with Mannol Fully synthetic.

This country has the best fuel so no need to change fuel filter every 6 months geez
Oil,oil filter, fuel filter every 3k miles or 6months and then air filter, plugs etc ebery 12month on my subaru impreza gc8 turbo
I agree, it's what I have done for decades now. I'll just add that using decent fuel, now E5, in the case of petrol helps. Higher quality fuel keeps the system cleaner.
Since when was Comma a quality oil. .?
I’m sorry, but when it comes to Filipino food, chicken pancit wins every day😋😋😋😋😋 wash down with a couple of cans of Redhorse 🤪🤪
wonder how john knows about PH values🧀
engine oil and filter every 3500 miles - Brake Fluid, Gearbox Oil & Coolant every year on your advice from a previous video
6months everything
Garages/ mechanics need to perform an honest job. If any accidents due to workshop negligence, then the person doing the repairs will be held responsible
replaced the brake fluid with a "good practice" because "as you know" attitude is just upselling a job.... come on brake fluid tester is less then a 10 quid.... probably would have saved this customer close to 100.......

Hi guys Mannol oil any good
No terrible Russian oil
I use mannol in my Subaru rally car 10/60
Yes mate Mannol is cheap but it's fine. The key is do the oil changes regular. Ignore the comments about Russian Oil. It's German oil Low Saps C3 dexos2 and never had a issue with it. I will be changing my Oil next month with Mannol Fully synthetic.
I am running 6 month with mannol C3 so far going strong
It wasnt V12 was it. They SERIOUSLY ripped off my daughter. Great dodgy reviews though. Be careful.
how much to engine swap a 325i bmw e46 in luton beds?
WhatsApp me please
Last car had was Lexus is250 on 2009 had for 8 yrs didn't change brake fluid and had no problems . First thing change air filter cabin filter. Recently bought vw golf from vw dealer and didn't even change air or cabin filter as both were quite dirty. My tx4 oil air oil change every 9k and fuel filter once a yr
The motor oil geek channel tested lots of "additives" and found out they all cause more wear, they mess up the oil. NONE of them work. Engine flush is good as it makes carbon deposits into a liquid and drain out with the old oil, but then just fill up with oil, no extra additives.
Hi keep it up you are doing a great job and having fun making some brilliant videos superstar Ali Walsall west midlands england junction 10 m6 Walsall churckery up the walsall
No manufacturer endorses additives!(fact).A lot of dealers try & ‘upsell’ this stuff.Always decline!🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘
