Back in 1987 after a car accident I was recuperating from surgery in a Denver hospital with nothing to do but watch bad tv and thumb through old National Geographic magazines.
One issue had two articles of interest: the cave art of Lascaux, and ancient Greek architecture.
I read the latter first, wherein there was a drawing depicting the front of the Parthenon and describing how the ancient Athenians had discovered 'the golden mean' as the most aesthetically pleasing proportionality to the human eye, thus using it nearly anywhere they built anything. It is thus found so in Nature.
Later that day while delving into the Lascaux article they presented a photo of a stag. And there in a corner of the stone wall at Lascaux was what looked like a Golden Rectangle. Within a day (and thanks to a very charming young British nurse) I was able to get a compass and protractor and druggist's ruler and measure both pictures and sure enough! The rectangle on the wall at Lascaux, which predates the Greek discovery by thousands of years, represented an accurate prehistoric depiction of the mathematically precise Golden Mean--and likewise in an 'artistic setting', so to speak....
The notion that a geometric object only observable subliminally in nature could find something resembling an epistemological yet unsymbolic basis as an archetype of the collective unconscious, across vast stretches of time and place, and that I would find evidence of it from unrelated articles in the same publication, was a startling experience.

Have you ever searched for the idea online? I found this by searching "Lascaux Cave Golden rectangle."
"While conducting research in the summer of 2016, Dr. Elliot McGucken came across the earliest use and appearance of the golden ratio (and golden spiral) in figurative paintings and sculpture, dating to over 40,000 years ago."

I use to be an atheist. I actually got put on my path by studying Tesla, and hearing what he has said in interviews. Which lit my natural curiosity. The the further down my path I went, the more doors opened. Then things started to chain together in my mind. I've had a few times in my life where I gain perspective and see things in a whole new way. You are almost embarrassed of your previous perspective., and then you understand why mystics only taught certain people. Some will can never see things the way you do until they can understand your perspective. Is that a tiny bit of enlightenment? I don't know. I do know that this shift has opened my mind to things I never considered before, and I feel like I don't have such a big hole in me anymore. Which I take that as my new passion of studying isn't a waste of time.

Holy shit……. You just reminded me of a NDE I had that was this exact experience!!!!!!!!
I don’t remember dying or leaving or turning off.
I do recall this experience tho.
    When i died.
    I was completely gone.
I had no idea of Me or I or other.
    I just was!
    It felt like eons passed.
I was a beacon of light mass pulsing through the galaxy alone.
I recall gathering materia as i pulsed and grew into a bigger light.
Slowly awareness became available. I had a “memory” in there of “my brother” being another “star” in the galaxy.
Then my “self” activated and “my mind” said “you must return”
“You are part of a unit and your work is not done”
I remember “crying in the ether as a star” ⭐️ then i grew and grew and grew and traveled across the cosmos to return to my “body”
I awoke on the floor of my apartment with my glasses on the floor and it seems like i fell and hit my head on the table when i “passed” . Im ok and concussion. 🤕 😂❤🎉
I have many more tales like this.
Some are real life encounters with “spirits, or whatever words we want to use here. Shadow people and possibly UT or ET. Never sure 🤷🏻‍♂️
Anyway here i am now ❤

In this galaxy , did it feel soo vast and soo many stars of every color? And moving was effortless like the focus of a eye? And emotions was still there but no where as strong. For i have a memory of being , before here. And i dont understand it but i was just there waiting. I was actually anxious. And I remember turning right it felt like and i sa a single star surround by the void. It was different. it was separated or somewhere else.

At 1:07:00 into video they talk of “singularity”. I’ve always hoped of a international “gestalt” when everyone snaps out of their illusions and realizes that we are all connected. I wonder what that would be like and how that would change how people treat each other and the planet. Anyway…. ✌🏻

Modern research on Near Death Experience by Raymond moody, reincarnation memories by Ian Stevenson/Jim trucker and past lives regression by Brian Weiss all independently but coincidentally show that our consciousness survive death, we live many lives and our thoughts and actions matter in the hereafter.
So be kind and helpful to others, be virtuous, meditate and cultivate ourselves to higher spiritual levels. Cheers.

Unfortunately this will never happen until we as a species learn to respect everyone’s differences. We also can’t move forward until we can forgive all the slavery and past slights of our fore fathers. Once we can forgive the transgressions of the past and accept peoples differences, we will never move forward as a species.

A while back now I went through a period of pretty much constant synchronous events. I could be thinking about something totally unrelated to what was happening in the external world but it would always somehow show up as I was thinking it or right after I was done. I honestly thought I was going insane in the clinical sense. It didn't seem benevolent though, it felt very sinister. It happened with such frequency and precision that I couldn't see how it could have been just a product of my own mind, but at the same time what I was experiencing was totally unreal and impossible according to how I knew the world to work. Eventually I couldn't stand it any longer and one day just told it to stop and leave me alone, that whatever it was is it was trying to tell me something I wasn't getting the message. It is. It stopped. It stopped that same day. Reading about the symptom of schizophrenia gave me the closest description to a clinical description, although it wasn't a perfect match it was close, but unless I'm mistaken schizophrenia can't be willed sway, nor can any other types of psychosis. That's another point in the corner of it not being "all in my head". Whatever it was I hope I get a change to ask it what the hell it wanted from me because that was one of the world experiences of my life which itself is filled with other negative experiences.

Instead I’m seeking knowledge to know not beliefs to believe. Believe means you don’t know and you’re just assuming based off what other people say is true. I’m seeking the knowledge of essenes, getting knowledge from within not getting knowledge from outside source but this information triggers those insightful realizations within. This means I always knew this in my soul I just need to remember and realize that I known this for eons.

That’s correct. The knowledge is acquired through the expansion of consciousness during a NDE. I had that experience and it’s as if you are “shown” or “downloaded” with universal/cosmic/existential knowledge that our current quantum physics is only skimming the top of. I didn’t know anything about physics prior to my NDE. I read a little about Quantum Physics afterwards and that seems to come close to explaining the nature or structure of the universe but it too is incomplete. When your consciousness expands to that infinite degree you see the errors in how we as humans perceive life and the universe and existence. We are like child’s play here. You see how our systems are all structured on incomplete and/or incorrect “scientific proofs.” You see how our medical system is actually doing more harm than good because they have eliminated the spiritual component from healing when we are innately designed to self-heal. You see people as living with blinders on and focusing on the wrong things to make them happy. You see how ignorant, with all due respect, we truly are as humans. We have so many more abilities than we are aware of and can utilize to create a better life. We are acting against our own good most of the time. I feel the biggest mistake we make is to believe that if we can’t prove it scientifically than it can’t be real. This is coming from such boxed in thinking. It’s limiting our progress as humans. I don’t know why I had to have that experience and gain all that knowledge. It feels frustrating to be here at times knowing all of this.

If anyone wants to take a stab at this which is my first time putting this out there in the universe. This is the only time in my life anything like this has happened to me. Taking a shower then in a crystal clear voice loud but not yelling “ the universe is made of four things four things only “ I got a imagine of two geometric shapes, yes two not four frustratingly why only two is completely lost on me as to why. Love to hear any thoughts

You can make all the shapes using only 2.
      A straight line & a curved line.
Sacred geometry patterns use a circle & connect points with a line & you keep adding & you get more patterns.
Frequency and energy can create vibration and that forms into shapes, light & everything else.
If you haven't seen resonance videos you can look up sand, water, bubbles and fire resonance & that shows shapes being made

It's actually a very interesting but I found this video today, I was having a constructive conversation last night about semantics and how a lot of our interdisciplinary fields have very similar ideas but they boil down to different definitions It's like adding apples to oranges.
I think one of the key issues people negate when talking about the framework of controlling physical reality with your body, Is amplitude, for a direct example In the events where members of faith all participate trying to heal send their energy to heal somebody and then the person ends up being relieved of their illness or sickness. Rather than writing a whole book I'll leave you too inquire if you like.
Very excellent video though I loved it

Two men are canoeing down a river without paddles, at the mercy of the current. One man keeps singing the same hymn over and over to comfort himself as he eyes off into the distance the impending fatal waterfall. Every time they hit a rock, he loses his rhythm and has to start over.
Eventually, the other man, annoyed, asks, "Why do you keep singing that same hymn? It's driving me crazy!"
The singing man replies, "Well, that's just what I've always done in tough situations."
The other man sighs and says, "You know, even with all the advancements in the world, humans still cling to their old habits and beliefs. It's like we can't help but introduce chaos into order, just as Dostoevsky warned."
The singing man pauses, then asks, "
... Dostoevsky? Is he the one who forgot to put the paddles in the canoe?"

Six minutes in, and I hear the phrase, "laws of psychology." I'm familiar with Newton's laws of motion and Newtonian physics displayed by quantum mechanics and general relativity in the early 20th century. But laws of psychology??
I know of Jung's "theory" of personality, but no "laws."
The closest I could come in my brief search was a 2019 article for Behavioral Economics, where Aline Holzwarth, a behavioral scientist, used Newton’s laws of motion to inform three laws of human behavior.
    These three laws are:
Behavior tends to follow the status quo unless it is acted upon by a decrease in friction or increase in fuel.
Behavior (B) is a function of the person (P) and their environment (E), or B=f(P,E).
For every decision made, there are tradeoffs and the potential for unintended consequences.
Although human behavior is complicated, Holzwarth suggested that these laws can at least capture very general behavioral tendencies.

I feel like studying sacred geometry by both looking at it and learning to create it, allows us to perceive more synchronicities that we would otherwise be oblivious to. This opens up our consciousness to the idea of a grand architect, which many call God. This process reminds me of Einstein quote "coincidence is God's way of staying anonymous"
the simplest way of describing consciousness I have heard is that consciousness IS the force that brings the hologram to life. It's what creates the interference pattern so we can percieve this space/time reality. It's been called many things throughout the millenia but it's most commonly referred to as the vaccum fluctuation or the zero point field. Tesla called it the ether. Hindus call it indra's net. It exist below the plank threshold AND it's infinite, like Einstein said to jung. Every particle is conscious and This fractle model can be scaled up to created more complex levels of awareness like humans but how that happens, I have no idea. it may have something to do with how matter will self organize.

It's when the Individual, through moral intent and action, gains a deeper understanding of what the CAUSE is behind the EFFECT. This is when the Individual begins to form a Sacred relationship with the Environment - this is when access is gain to Moral Technology. Numbers and equations are merely markers of these spheres interacting.

Okay, awesome conversation, thank you for this. Loved it . Loooovveedd it! NOTES - you may want to let your guest talk a bit more. You're both fascinating folks but the point of a guest is to focus on their point of view more than yours, right? I mean, I get that it's a back and forth, a conversation, not a formal interview, but still, right? Also, square the circle? You used that phrase a bunch in the beginning and it's problematic in many ways, mathematically, semantically, logically, etc. Squares are beautiful just as they are and circles are beautiful just as they are, let them be, let's not try to make them the same thing in our language or our minds. How about the phrase 'achieved something miraculous' or 'performed a Herculaen feat' or 'attained the unimaginable' or 'completed a titanic undertaking' or I don't know, I'm sort of a language bitch. Just my two cents. Anyway, much gratitude for this. I adored it. YOU ALL ARE BRILLIANT!!!! THANKS!! 🙂

I knew this guy in college, a writer; sort of a cross between Borges, Blade Runner, The Big Lebowski, and Boethius, who got about 100K in debt, sleeping on people's couches, until he got into Naropa and graduated from that Kerouac school.
Anyway, I recall he once said in an ominous tone: "You know that there are REAL Platonists in academia, right?" Until I ran into you guys, I don't think I quite grasped what he was getting at.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not Michael Shermer (probably more like Kierkegaard in Either Or), but Jung has become kind of synonymous for me with Sapphic, septum-pierced preschool teachers preaching sygygy to toddlers, trained by administrations consisting of ex-Disney girl band members (Delphi Dolly and the Sirens?) who chant The Vagina Monologues to a splendid purple porcupine quartz crystal whilst playing scrabble in Hebrew, to plot the college cirriculum astrologically.
Thus while you and I and Umberto Eco know that Baphomet rendered by Levi is a symbol the Templars used to conceal from the Pope the fact that they were studying Pythagoras and smoking hashish with the Muslims instead of crusading, Lesbos basically sees "they/them" B. as Lady Gaga topless in GOAT-furry-horny-bearded cosplay, thumping for The Equality Act.
Thus while you have roused me from my general nod at the latest recitation of Vol. CCXVI of Fred Flintstone's Arcanum Quadrivelum of the Order of the Grays at Roswell Chapel to the realization that an insufficient understanding of Plato might mean I didn't REALLY understand Jung, the evidence that the COMMON misunderstanding of Jung is causing cognitive dissonance among kids in our society tantamount to the failure rate of early laptop screens, more than suggests Jung needs an NC-17 rating in school, along with Nietzsche and Schopenhauer--as Elon suggested...
No disrespect Eye, but when I read Morning of the Magicians and the Illuminatus trillogy, you may have been in Huggies. So I was like, forms, archetypes, shadow, yadda, yadda, quantum entanglement, yadda, yadda, reincarnation, IT security professional... waitaminit! REWIND!
I think as Plato would probably agree that ACTUAL algorithm building differs greatly from doxa, this video doesn't go into the "metaphysical" playlist with Shirley MacLaine, Tony Robbins, and Barney the Dinosaur.
While I have often thought about how to get to Dante's oasis with Virgil, I clearly didn't put enough thought into what I would ask its inhabitants upon arriving!
I think I'll just exit stage right now (egg on face), and see if Dr. Desmond talked to Lex Fridman, and perhaps go read Phaedo etc., in the Great Books Series, and re-watch this video again later...
Upright thumb, whether I end up agreeing or not.

Why insert the mathematical forms between the archetypal and the physical. The physical are directly shadows from the archetypal with the mathematical forms being shadows of the physical. Measurements are trailing indicators of reality not progenitors.

    • @toddesmond6820
      @toddesmond6820 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

That is a good point, but Plato had a good reason for inserting the mathematical forms between the archetypal forms and the material forms. The mathematical forms, such as the Pythagorean theorem, are eternal, perfect truths, while the many examples of their manifestations in the material world are temporary approximations of those eternal truths. For example, we can apply the Pythagorean theorem in the blueprint for the construction of a huge building, but the right angles formed by the corners of that building will never be perfect. We can describe the orbits of the planets as ellipses, but the actually orbits of the planets are never perfectly elliptical. The eternally fixed, perfectly predictable unfolding of mathematical forms and their interactions are only imperfectly and dimly reflected in the empirically observable universe.

@@toddesmond6820 "The eternally fixed, perfectly predictable unfolding of mathematical forms and their interactions are only imperfectly and dimly reflected in the empirically observable universe." Beautifully put. I agree that imperfectly and dimly is the only way a shadow can dance. Why do we infer that the real world is the result of the math, rather than that the math is the result of our observations of the real world; but as one of our most precise languages, it hints at the underlying perfection that we cannot see. It demonstrates that our shadows may be less real than we think.

The soul (observer) creates reality by the simple act of observing it.

A singularity is a point at which information collapses and becomes unknowable. You cannot know what a singularity contains. Just like a soul. A black hole is a mirror image of a soul (Plato's mirror image of forms). Its what makes a person unique - and to others - unknowable.

Carl Jung's idea of the "collective unconscious" is analogous to the "akashic record". You can access the collective unconscious via the individuation process (or psychedelics). Jung spent his life trying to define his archetypes via this individuation process. Pity he didn't have access to psychedelics.
