Settled you can upgrade that Air Battlestaff to a Mystic Air Staff in a way that fits your account I believe! You need to talk to Thormac and have 40,000 gp. But the only way that he will upgrade the staff is if you complete the Scorpion Catcher quest. Luckily that quest only requires one inventory space throughout the whole quest (granted you need to juggle a bit for some areas.) The whole quest revolves around you catching scorpions in a cage and then turning them into Thormac. You can catch all the scorpions in a single cage. The one area that might cause you some trouble is the scorpion in the Taverly dungeon. To access that scorpion you need either a dusty key or 70 agility. Getting 70 agility eliminates a lot trouble that you might run into and frankly might be the easier option, but I don't think that the Dusty Key option is impossible either. Maybe you or someone can figure out how to get both the Dusty Key and the Scorpion Cage to past the gate, maybe using telegrab or some insane juggling/ table placing in the dungeon. What do you think?
How can he have the 40k plus the staff in his inventory to upgrade it? Unless he’ll upgrade it while equipped. Or can you just out right buy the staff?

Every time I go on an RS3 Binge, I struggle to want to come back to it when I take a break, because I feel like I didn't earn anything I achieved. 2. OSRS is a lot more social. Not because there's a NEED for it or anything, it just... is. More people hanging around hotspots. More people... *in general*. Probably just a product of nostalgia and people not liking EoC, but seeing more people around makes me feel good in an MMO. RS3 always felt a lot more solo in a lot of areas. They don't drop single so you'll have to skull up and die in the wilderness. Then unnote your ammy at the bank.
Dude, the amount of passion you have for runescape is insane. I love watching your videos because of the amount of creativity is off the charts and you can tell how much you truly love playing this game.
I'm surprised that settled didn't place the money he would earn in the Nightmare Zone coin pouch or the LMS coffer and then withdraw the exact amount he needed to buy things.
Hey settled! it's me, J1m. i watched this video and then I pressed the like button. Immediately after, a man showed up to my house in a suit and said "Happy new year from Richie Tape," and handed me a briefcase with $50,000 cash in it. Is this normal? Please respond. Thanks!
One thing you could do for the cash issue (i havent finished the video yet so idk if you address it) is use the coin pouch at Nightmare zone. i believe it allows you to deposit specific amounts of cash so you'll be able to deposit extra money to allow you to keep a specific amount in your inventory
to add to this; if you can get enough money you could buy rune packs from the shop 1 at a time... if you can find a way to make enough money and NOT lose the runes
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can put specific values of gp into the LMS coffer/nightmare zone coffer, right? Specific gp requirements should be a lot easier under that situation. Additionally, I think charley The tramp in varrock can ask for a coin an infinite number of times.
Settled, you are an absolute legend for your pure determination to the dedication of trying to break this game with each new series. All of your viewers love you.
This is by far the best series you've done. I love your videos. They're so consuming, i've just done 34 minutes straight on cons and didnt even realise i was doing it.
I gotta say, this is by far my favorite challenge you've done. Challenges that are just hard aren't as interesting imo as ones that require unique strategies to even be possible.
Challenge: Tileman Gp edition. Each tile unlocked requires a donation of gold to the charity well (is there one in old school?) Each tile unlocked, the price increases. At the beginning of the account, gold may be ferried to the well via an alt, but must be unlocked in the end. End goal: TBD - could take it as far as your sanity allows with a completionist cape.
Hey Settled, I think a good way of getting runes could be using coffer at blast furnace on a non-blast withdrawing the cost of a pack of chaos at the Battle runes shop after enter the abyss miniquest. You could then stack them on the table like you did.
Had the exact same thought! do stronghold of security for 10k, let the dwarves take 50gp, buy a pack of 100 chaos runes for ez magic xp. And he gets fancy boots!!!!
I'm about to go look at how this plugin works, because at a glance, it makes me wonder how much Adam had to plead with the devs to make it possible/legal. Edit: LOL the inventory is actually filled with flyers with the plugin pretending they're bank fillers and making it impossible to interact with them directly. Edit: lmao, some bot copied this comment of all things too
Yeah that's what I was thinking, it would be absolutely insane if a plugin could tell the server how many free slots he has. I'm sure there would be some way to abuse something like that but the flyers are the obvious solution on making a plugin like this actually work
Someone asked how this would work with death but deleted the comment, and while I don't have the plugin installed, my guess is that Settled is well aware of the flyer thing (or presumably the ability to change this to a different item as a setting) and fixes the inventory by collecting 27 before continuing.
omg im glad i found your videos, i have been on a watching binge, watched your tileman, then your mortania series... soooooo good. i cant wait for more in the future
You sir are an absolutely insane animal of an OSRS player.. Your series consistently top everyone else for originality. Only one even close is Soup with Gilienor Games
The amount of money in your inventory could be reduced by taking boats a specific amount of times. Can be useful if you have too much money (or want to use the stronghold).
When you go slightly over a certain amount of coins, can't you just use charter ships or things like the Al-Kharid gate to lower your stack without buying anything? Edit: Can't you cheese the entire thing altogether by using money coffers?
Starting to the quest to lose 1 coin and get the exact amount is absolutely brilliant, I have no idea how you have this insane level of game knowledge but it is honestly so impressive 26:46
I've done similar account challenges like location locked in the past, but I have to say, this is something else entirely. I would never have the time to do something like this today, but it's fun to watch haha. Good luck friend and godspeed.
This is a cool idea and it got me thinking about which other quests you can complete. You probably already thought of this and some of these quests aren't really helpful, but I figured I'd share anyway. 1. Rune Mysteries and Enter the Abyss can be completed. The only way I can think of to train runecrafting would be to mine 1 essence at the mine, go to the abyss, and enter the air altar. Or go to the ZMI altar. This would be torturous but might be cool to have 2 runecrafting. 2. Sheep Shearer can be completed by collecting balls of wool from imps. This quest lets you turn them in one at a time. Only gives 150 crafting XP though, which you can get from spinning one flax at a time. 3. Hazeel Cult should be completable for the Hazeel side for 1.5k thieving XP. 4. Fight Arena should be completable for a lot of combat XP. Only needs 5 coins. 5. Monk's Friend can get you some woodcutting XP and 8 law runes. There's probably even more that I haven't considered yet.
I genuinely used to collect chaos runes here as a child back in 2006. I only had 2 hours on the computer daily and this is what I did to make money for full black trimmed armor back in the day. :D
Bro... these tasks are INSANE but beautiful to watch I'm glad that although daunting you're still enjoying yourself and still get giddy over even the smallest wins stay strong sir!
tip for the boneyard... bring ur main with zero gear on it, hit each skeleton once, stand in a spot none of the ones u tagged can hit u, and boom easy big bones for ur fresh account with no reqs. its pretty much how i start all my new accounts. i collect a full inv and then walk to chaos alter. at lvl 3 u have pretty much nothing to worry about there. in know u only have one inventory slot but the method still works even w/o going to the alter
If you overshoot the coin goal, you can burn it through things that cost money but give no item. Magic-carpet rides, the gate to Al-Kharid, etc. That way you can get another chance to try and hit it without dropping the stack.

They don't drop single so you'll have to skull up and die in the wilderness. Then unnote your ammy at the bank.
barehanding dragon imps always requires 2 inventory slots, as you need an extra slot for a potential elite clue along with the normal loot.
@@williamberquist3923 he was able to get stuff from tutors which give you multiple slots of items, it will just delete one drop im assuming
@MagmaSlayer13 No it's true, two spots are needed, it gives you a message if you only have one spot.
Dude, the amount of passion you have for runescape is insane. I love watching your videos because of the amount of creativity is off the charts and you can tell how much you truly love playing this game.
I haven't even played rs in a year, but I still come to your channel for the mental sickness that leads to these challenges. Love it forever.
I'm surprised that settled didn't place the money he would earn in the Nightmare Zone coin pouch or the LMS coffer and then withdraw the exact amount he needed to buy things.
You can only withdraw and deposit in amounts of 1000
@@tryptameme4509 Hmmm, what about the blast furnace coffer?
He can use the GE I use it on my UIM as an extra "coin bank" :D just pop in for a bond and set price gg ez clap
@@BushidoCypherthat's actually pretty nifty
So you are saying at 8:47 that this isn't the most psychotic thing you could do? I fear no man other than Settled with this being known
For the Cash Stack problem you can give Charlie the Tramp in Varrock 1 or 2 coins at a time without extra slots, good luck...
8:45 he didn’t hit a million subs but he did release the most borderline psychotic series in RuneScape, what a legend amongst legends
Settled: Air Battlestaff is an adamant longsword in stats
Also Settled: Gets 30 attack, finishes training other stats with black sword.
Im assuming the reason he used the sword was for the attack style buff, since the battlestaff isn’t good for training all stats?
I've not even started the video, and I am already captivated. Nice job
Hey settled! it's me, J1m. i watched this video and then I pressed the like button. Immediately after, a man showed up to my house in a suit and said "Happy new year from Richie Tape," and handed me a briefcase with $50,000 cash in it. Is this normal? Please respond. Thanks!
Hey J1m, just confirmed with my people (they'll be reaching out to your people) who will then confirm if this is normal. Thanks.
One thing you could do for the cash issue (i havent finished the video yet so idk if you address it) is use the coin pouch at Nightmare zone. i believe it allows you to deposit specific amounts of cash so you'll be able to deposit extra money to allow you to keep a specific amount in your inventory
to add to this; if you can get enough money you could buy rune packs from the shop 1 at a time... if you can find a way to make enough money and NOT lose the runes
does the coffer let you have access to it if you can't do nightmare zone yet due to not having completed enough eligible quests?
This man is the ultimate Ironman god he clearly knows this
Was thinking this exactly. Would help the issue of over shooting coin amounts and wrecking lots of progress.
There is a coin pouch in ferox enclave as well.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can put specific values of gp into the LMS coffer/nightmare zone coffer, right? Specific gp requirements should be a lot easier under that situation. Additionally, I think charley
The tramp in varrock can ask for a coin an infinite number of times.
I think you can also drop x coins as well
Bit late but you can only put multiples of 1000 into the NMZ coffer.
your excitement at the end getting the ammy of power gave me chills, your passion is amazing man
This man never ceases to amaze on production level and general insanity
Settled, you are an absolute legend for your pure determination to the dedication of trying to break this game with each new series. All of your viewers love you.
thank you for donating so much of your time making this content so I dont have to play runescape for myself
it's nice to watch a half hour a week instead of blowing 40 hours a week on RS
No one:
Absolutely no one:
Not a single soul:
Settled: Diamondman
Tileman Ep. 1: I'm paralyzed, and must learn to walk again, one step at a time.
Richard Tape: I'm fast af boiii
Not what I expected for the new super masochistic challenge, but I like it
This is by far the best series you've done. I love your videos. They're so consuming, i've just done 34 minutes straight on cons and didnt even realise i was doing it.
Damn, Settled coming up with a LOT of creative ideas lately. Great video as usual
@welovecurling Settled literally mentioned in the video that he's had this idea for over a year
Your imagination to come up with these ideas is astounding. Amazing video as always!
NMZ coffer would work as well right?
Had the exact same thought! do stronghold of security for 10k, let the dwarves take 50gp, buy a pack of 100 chaos runes for ez magic xp. And he gets fancy boots!!!!
love these series so much
Have you considered the ground floor of the dark warrior fortress for chaos runes? Not sure how viable it would be the warrior spawns
i havent played runescape in years but I keep coming back to watch settled. What an absolute maniac.
Unexpectedly impressed by this, glad for the mini-series while McTile suffers his due.
man settled is by far my favorite content creator
very unique ideas
and good spirit
love everything you do
That fortune teller play was crazy. Richard Tape is truly a mastermind.
Edit: lmao, some bot copied this comment of all things too
How does that work on death then, do the flyers remain in his inventory?
Yeah that's what I was thinking, it would be absolutely insane if a plugin could tell the server how many free slots he has.
I'm sure there would be some way to abuse something like that but the flyers are the obvious solution on making a plugin like this actually work
So if he accidentally picks up another flier he'd be softlocked? Lol
@@stonegiant4 disable plug-in, drop a flier, reenable plug-in, problem solved 👍
Someone asked how this would work with death but deleted the comment, and while I don't have the plugin installed, my guess is that Settled is well aware of the flyer thing (or presumably the ability to change this to a different item as a setting) and fixes the inventory by collecting 27 before continuing.
omg im glad i found your videos, i have been on a watching binge, watched your tileman, then your mortania series... soooooo good. i cant wait for more in the future
pretty new to the channel but i love these crazy series you do. excited to see where this one goes
This is unreal!! How on earth do you keep topping yourself with every series? cant wait for the next epuside
Amazing new series. Getting it on the second kill... fortune often favors you in these series, at least so it seems.
Hey Settled can you use the NMZ or LMS coffers to get an exact amount of coins for when you buy something?
5,000 hours in the swamp is insane. That’s like a full year of one’s waking life 😂😂 you only get like 80 of those 😂😂 such dedication
You sir are an absolutely insane animal of an OSRS player.. Your series consistently top everyone else for originality. Only one even close is Soup with Gilienor Games
This is so creative! I'm really looking forward to seeing more!
Edit: Can't you cheese the entire thing altogether by using money coffers?
the beginning of this series truly proves you are a masochist, but thats good because we love it
Starting to the quest to lose 1 coin and get the exact amount is absolutely brilliant, I have no idea how you have this insane level of game knowledge but it is honestly so impressive 26:46
I mean.. you only have two hands. Most irl/vr OSRS mode I’ve ever seen. Love you settled
I used to pick flax during my half an hour of daily screentime my mom was so confused
This was a lot of fun man!! what a concept lol. You're the only one who would try such a thing XD Thanks for the fun content.
“Nobody doubted me, but I did it anyway”
Should be the slogan for this channel
Bro... these tasks are INSANE but beautiful to watch I'm glad that although daunting you're still enjoying yourself and still get giddy over even the smallest wins stay strong sir!
Of all the insane things Settled has done on this account none is funnier to me than world hopping the lumby castle (1)mind rune spawn
I'm glad to see that carrying an "emergency cake" is catching on. I for one, am always carrying one IRL.
8:48 hold up, you mean this isn't the craziest series you've come up with this year?
Holy shit starting Demon Slayer to lose 1gp made me laugh that was such a big brain move. Fuckin love these series lol
tip for the boneyard... bring ur main with zero gear on it, hit each skeleton once, stand in a spot none of the ones u tagged can hit u, and boom easy big bones for ur fresh account with no reqs. its pretty much how i start all my new accounts. i collect a full inv and then walk to chaos alter. at lvl 3 u have pretty much nothing to worry about there. in know u only have one inventory slot but the method still works even w/o going to the alter
If you overshoot the coin goal, you can burn it through things that cost money but give no item. Magic-carpet rides, the gate to Al-Kharid, etc. That way you can get another chance to try and hit it without dropping the stack.
settled: plus they have really nice drops
also settled: *literally has no available inventory to pick up any of those nice drops*
Haven't played osrs in 4 years which is almost the same amount of time since I've missed a Settled video. Love this series.
