I had to double check which video I was watching after seeing a comment from you, so glad to see a big Rocket League content creator be involved in osrs. Also love your vids!
I really love your positivity throughout this series. You did some absolutely disgusting grinds, and had some major setbacks, yet you remained positive & always looked for the best. It's kind of funny to say this about an OSRS video, but I learned a lot of life lessons from watching this. It was truly inspirational!
Just rewatched this series because I remember it being such an inspiration every single episode that I watched back when it was releasing. Even though I knew the outcome, how every grind ends, what is coming up next and especially all the devastating setbacks. I was still on the edge of my seat every single minute of this entire 12h long video. Settled, not only are you a legend in the game, immortalized with the rune crossbow in that exact spot, you are also a man with such an amazing dedication. A true inspiration for everyone. In day to day life, whether it's Runescape related, real life related or anything else, everyone can learn from this series and improve themselves. Showing that nothing is impossible, and that all comebacks are much greater than the setbacks. You, my friend, are one crazy fella. I will be back in a year to rewatch this masterpiece once again. Much love
Man, you started this right about when I got out of rehab+jail at the lowest point of my life. Seeing you persevere through everything no matter what limitations or obstacles (and there were many) was truly inspiring for me, especially the rebuild. I’m glad this changed everything for you and I’m grateful I could witness it, thank you.
I've been clean for about 6 years now. Now I don't even think about that part of my life, but new set backs reared their ugly head ... Going through a breakup so bad I'm basically rebuilding everything from scratch again. All my friends. Moving states. Suffered a heart attack last year and she cheated on me in the hospital. But you know what? Swamp man is right. If you preserve and have a good positive attitude you can conquer any challenge. It gives me hope. Few things inspire me but he does. I hope your life rebuilds well too. that part of your life will get easier. But they'll always be new obstacles to overcome. We may lose our rune crossbows so to speak, but that doesn't mean things are over. It's a new beginning.
I don't know how the algorithm knew I would want this, as I don't play OSRS...but holy moly this is the most insane feat I have ever witnessed in an MMO. Unbelievable.
Can say I'm getting more agile every lockdown, found 2 new ways to jump on the couches, 3 new ways to sit or lie down on them while still being able to grab my drinks and snacks
The series I didn't know I needed. I'm in tears. High ups, low downs and everything in between. More inspired than Hollywood could ever make me. I am happy I watched this for two days straight. Bravo.
I stopped watching initially around the time he got the rune crossbow (even though there were hours left because it didn't feel right. I threw it on and was blown away by the second half. The first half is gamer cool and because of his death and loss of everything.... having his friends come together at the end to not let it fail was really cool. Settled's content is awesome and his dedication is incredible. This is a one off video where that you just can't script and it'll keep it's place right at the top.
Did I just spend the last 4 days watching this entire thing? Yup. Did my heart strings get tugged ever momentous event? Yup. I LOVED this series man! Absolutely fantastic! I’m so glad I watched this!
2 years after this release, almost 3 after the actual finale was uploaded, and I still find myself coming back to watch this amazing series. I always rushed to watch each and every new episode as they released with such anticipation. The ups, the downs, the utter joy and feelings this journey brings will never change. Heck I still find myself getting emotional during your final words. Thank you for sharing such an insane journey with us.
Settled is like Batman: his ACTUAL superpower is his attitude. "The comeback is always greater than the setback." THAT is what makes him *truly* unstoppable.
Watched your adventures in the entirety while quarantined with Covid, thank you for providing hour upon hours of much needed entertainment and laughs! You are a hero. You helped pass the time as my health IMProved.
Honestly, this series changed everything. It's a riveting tale, and I feel so lucky that I was part of the viewers watching the videos as they got posted. Swamp man good.
I have never played runescape and I was on the edge of my seat the whole time watching this. What an amazing story, an emotional roller coaster, and absolute dedication. That was absolutely legendary.
Your patience is truly impressive. I struggle to farm like 200 of something before I start to doze off, the fact that you can spend months doing one thing is actually impressive.
Couple years later had to come back for my favorite swamp man. Settled, this is absolutely insane. It may just be a video game, but I genuinely don't think half the world population sets their mind to something and achieves half as much as you did in this 12 hour video. I know you're so proud of this and you should be. Thank you for the content. 💜
@@bsblleon01 he says feral vampires will play a big role in the account in reference to a clue scroll grind. However those are the enemies he eventually wipes to.
It was a great idea putting this into a 12 hour movie, settled. I've watched your tileman series and j1mmy's by release, but seeing everything edited together and being able to watch at least somewhat all together without interruption made me really appreciate the gravity of the story you presented here in a way I can't quite put into words.
Because of this series I started playing RuneScape. Today I decided to do a few starter quests in Morytania and it felt like visiting a place I had already seen before yet completely new. I passed near the swamp lizard hunter area and I smiled reminiscing about swamp man toiling there for dozens of hours. Thanks my dude, loving Tileman and looking forward to your next adventures.
I've watched every episode as you've released them over the years.. and even as a 12hr lump it's still bingeable. The drive and determination, the death, the redemption arc.. it's a masterpiece.
This is the best produced RuneScape video I’ve ever seen. The TOB cinematic was a masterpiece itself. Your three years of hard work and determination....your unceasing, inexorable spirit in the face of defeat. Absolutely inspiring. You have created a piece of RuneScape history in making this series. Freaking fantastic job man.
"Here's to the next seemingly impossible goal"- after I just watched your no damage fire cape run, that one hits just a bit more now. Still an all time series that got me back into OSRS, along with countless others.
I have got to say this is one of the most impressive displays of dedication I have ever seen. The sheer number of hours, mental fortitude, and dealing with the setbacks is hugely impressive. Having seen this, I know that whatever you set your mind to you will succeed. Thank you for the opportunity to join you in this adventure!
Finally finished this series after like 4 days of plucking away at it and holy shit. The highs, the low, and the absolute *masterful* patience. Honestly reminds me of a patience elemental I watch. "It always seems impossible until it is done"
Never in my many years of watching youtube have I ever watched a more than an hour video all the way through from start to end. this is the first and maybe only video I have finished. amazing series
This is actually the most interesting Runescape video I've ever watched. Your editing is great, the animations/movies are wonderful, and the amount of work/passion you put into this is absolutely phenomenal. Thank you so much for this content, I'm on my third watch
What an absolute tale of implacable endurance and perseverence. I came here and binge watched the entire thing as soon as I caught up with tileman. The production quality, the drama, this is a modern epic. You arrived a swamp man, and left as a swamp king.
Bro I won't lie I still don't have the heart to finish this video. I always stop right before the Theatre cause I don't want it to end. Its honestly been a lifechanger, seeing how you'll say shit like "yeah shouldn't take more than 6 months" and moving through hell or high water. It got me to get back into OSRS and say shit I never thought I'd say before, like "yeah that shouldn't take more than 16 hours." It's carrying into my real life now too where I go "yeah cleaning out this drawer won't take more than 25 minutes" and then I actually do it. godspeed, snelm man.
Took me a few days but I finally finished this series. The amount of determination you had the whole time and especially when you lost it all is admirable. I wouldn’t have blamed you if you just decided to give up, but seeing you decide to start it all over again was amazing. “The comeback is always greater than the setback” is an amazing mentality to have and those words are gonna stick with me. So glad I clicked on this video
I have never heard of you before but when I heard about you from Mctile, I was hooked, so I decided to watch this. Your ability to tell a story and this journey was beyond amazing. I loved this series. Honestly gives me the motivation to give UIM an actual shot after seeing this. This was pure gold. Best 12 hours on youtube without a doubt!
I'm gonna start watching this and hopefully can finish by this weekend! Can't wait to see it all start to finish! Thank you settled for being such a great content creator!
Man every time Settled hit us with the "The comeback is always greater than the setback" I started tearing up. Truly a series to surpass any others I have ever seen, solely due to the sheer tenacity and effort that went into making it.
Man. I just heard that. I'm watching this series for the first time, so I won't spoil the timestamp for others, but you know damn well which one I'm referring to. Ho leeee. If he pulls back from this setback... I cannot fathom it.
Never would I have thought I’d sit through a 12 hour video. You my friend are the reason I am playing RuneScape again. Thank you for this wonderful experience, excited to see where McTile takes you
Caught up to Tileman and just finished this, I've been going through a lot mentally and this has truly inspired and helped me, what you said at the end about we will all finish the race I've been in this race for about 7 years now with content creating. I haven't got insanely far or anything like that but happy with how much I've grown over the years. I just wanted to let you know I just subbed yesterday, your words alone are helping me in this very moment. Thank you
I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched this, not only does your content make for great background viewing while working but also I just never get tired of how amazing this entire journey is
I just watched this in full and I must say you took RuneScape content creation to the next level with the edits and the whole series . I really enjoyed these 12 hours! I never knew I could feel so much emotion in a RuneScape video. Your biggest wipe right at the end, i felt that, and I felt the sadness in your voice. Thank you so much! Looking forward to the newest tileman and 1 inv video. I’m hooked!
I have no idea how I stumbled unto this, much less how I ended up watching this over three days. I only played runescape, like, back in 2001-03 (back when they used sprites) and I gotta tell you, once I completed the dragon slayer quest and I felt I had nothing interesting left to do, I just felt this empty void as if all the work I had done had been for nothing. And yet I see this video, I see you pumping way more hours into this than 10-12 year-old me did, I saw you lose it all and get it all back and most importantly, I saw you being genuinely satisfied with your achievement, it was fascinating. MMOs still aren't for me, but damn, your mindset is legitimately inspiring
Swamp King! I've been watching this over the past week waiting to hear back from medical schools. I was rejected last year--devastating, after the years of work I've put in. As I was watching the last hour of your incredible journey, I got the call. Accepted to my top school. The come back is truly greater than the setback, man. Humbling experience. Appreciate you and your awesome dedication
Wow. This is an all time adventure. A masterpiece. I can’t even put it into words. You have unrivaled perseverance and storytelling abilities. If they send another Golden Record into space, this deserves to be on it. Well done!
I can’t believe I finished this is 4 days. I feel like I just witnessed history for the game and I’m excited to see all of the other accounts that come from this.
yo dude, i remember first discovering you when there were only like 4 episodes in this series, i have to admit i was skeptical about you being able to finish it, but i also could not stop watching. your ability to stick to the plan and see it thru to the finish line is very inspiring, and grats on the ingame shoutout from jagex themselves
I just watched the entire series for the first time, now 5 years post your start to this. Believe me when I say I can feel all the ups and downs, excitement and sorrow, the heartbreak and heartwarming. Truly inspiring content. The perfect music and commentary, the perfect editing and graphics. Hands down has kept me immersed for the entire 12+ hour video. I watched 30 mins here, 1 hour there, but always kept going and was always worth it, even with the the wife thinking I am crazy for watching a 12 hour video of some guy master an online mmorpg. Settled thank you. I can't find the right words to describe how happy you've made me over the last 3 years. The Swampletics series is simply the best series in all of OSRS. Also, the use of HOME's music adds an indescribable emotional element to me as his music has been some of my favourite and most impactful too. All in all, and at the risk of understating it, thank you. I love you, and if I see you in person I would love to give you a hug (if you're ok with that :p). Just finished watching the 12 hour vid, it's hard to pick a fav cape/era but mine is probably blue cape / enlightenment era, where there was a rush of new ideas and strategies that I was excited to see play out. 5000 hours into 12.
Much love
And here I am, rewatching it once again.
I still stand by everything said in the message above, an absolutely legendary series.
See you in a year
Man, you started this right about when I got out of rehab+jail at the lowest point of my life. Seeing you persevere through everything no matter what limitations or obstacles (and there were many) was truly inspiring for me, especially the rebuild. I’m glad this changed everything for you and I’m grateful I could witness it, thank you.
Keep going man, we see & support you
Stay strong king! Always self betterment!

@@fadedpuppygirl there's always one and it's always you.
I still can’t believe that clue scroll grind, that was absolutely insane. You deserved ranger boots for that, dude.
The mad man did it. He condensed 5k hours in 12. That's 0.24% of his journey shown on screen.
I don't know how the algorithm knew I would want this, as I don't play OSRS...but holy moly this is the most insane feat I have ever witnessed in an MMO. Unbelievable.
cool! a short 12min 8sec video. thanks swamp man!! :)
Its 12 hours bro

absolutely insane that just in the time watching this, the first episode couldn't even be completed. What a monumental story.
"These idiot vampires don't even have 15 agility, it's honestly too easy"
Oof. That vampire took it personally.
“And I took that personally.”
Great comment
The setbacks in this series are absolutely heartbreaking, but this series makes me smile so much. Not much makes me smile these days, so thanks.
Hope ur doing better bro
need a lot of popcorn for this one
2 years after this release, almost 3 after the actual finale was uploaded, and I still find myself coming back to watch this amazing series. I always rushed to watch each and every new episode as they released with such anticipation. The ups, the downs, the utter joy and feelings this journey brings will never change. Heck I still find myself getting emotional during your final words. Thank you for sharing such an insane journey with us.

Honestly, this series changed everything. It's a riveting tale, and I feel so lucky that I was part of the viewers watching the videos as they got posted.
Swamp man good.
Oh gosh, the early episodes give me such a cozy, laid-back feel!
I'm still waiting for episode 2

Man I thought you were joking about the 'I cried' part. but damn, his buddy's pep-talk legit hit kinda hard.
It was a great idea putting this into a 12 hour movie, settled. I've watched your tileman series and j1mmy's by release, but seeing everything edited together and being able to watch at least somewhat all together without interruption made me really appreciate the gravity of the story you presented here in a way I can't quite put into words.
Probably one of the most sincere videos I've ever watched.
10/10
Because of this series I started playing RuneScape. Today I decided to do a few starter quests in Morytania and it felt like visiting a place I had already seen before yet completely new. I passed near the swamp lizard hunter area and I smiled reminiscing about swamp man toiling there for dozens of hours. Thanks my dude, loving Tileman and looking forward to your next adventures.
Hope you're still playing and enjoying it! Remember: the more you quest, the easier everything else will be. And don't forget agility!

Osrs has the sickest "playtime vs video time content ratio" 5000 hours gets you 12 hours of footage. Insane work, Settled !
i know nothing about runescape and i was still invested for entirety of the seven days it took me to finish watching this video! great video!

Thank you
I've lost track of how many times I've rewatched this, not only does your content make for great background viewing while working but also I just never get tired of how amazing this entire journey is
Same tbh, banger of a series
Congratulations!

You are most definitely 1, if not THE 1 creator I think is the best. thank you. I enjoy all your other videos/series as well. best wishes. Cant wait for more, please don't stop.
