Ang ganda ng vision ni Erwan in producing these kind of videos. He always bring with him specialists who have a better, genuine understanding of what is to be presented. Mas lalo nating nauunawaan at naaapreciate ang ating culture, tradition and heritage. At every time I watch his videos, laging I have the urge na isigaw na Pilipino ako at mahal ko ang Pilipinas. Cheesy man pero for sure that's how we all feel, proud.

Indeed... It's nice that there is kind of videos that give full information and deeper understanding about the roots of PH cuisine and it's always been a blessing that the oldway, authentic dishes in PH somehow still exist, Erwan is no joke when it comes to find ideas and make quality worth content like this🙏

"You shouldn't ask the question anymore, 'What is Filipino food but rather how food becomes Filipino'" that really made sense given the fact that Filipinos are good at innovation and Filipinos love food so much most of them make Filipino versions of any foreign dish they (we) like. Thank you for this amazing video!

People like Erwan is who we need today, seriously. This man is overflowing with passion and dedication to really showcase the Filipino culture out there in a very tasteful and intelligent manner. In each vlog, you'll feel and see the hard work, the research put into it, the best collaborations with the locals, the music and then some. His good-looking face and sexy accent are just a bonus tbh.
We don't ask, "What is Filipino food?" But rather "How does food becomes Filipino?" -Ige Ramos 👌

I've learned a lot from this video! What really embedded on my mind on what Ige Ramos said was he doesn't want Filipino Food to be a trend but rather a staple in the same level as Italian, American and other famous cuisines. Thanks Erwann! It just made me more proud of our own culture especially our own cuisine.

When Ige Ramos was giving his "lecture" (lol) I felt this wave of patriotism for our culinary culture come over me. Totoo. Not to hate on us but we've placed the Foreigners' taste and their food on a pedestal of some sort to the point where residents of, for example, Cavite don't know their own authentic "must-eats!" I, for one, am now eager to try these dishes and look forward to more.
Sorry my comment is so long! I think this channel is doing something really extraordinary and I hope the rest of the Filipinos catch on to elevating our OWN culture of food cooking 😭😭😭

Proud cavitena here and I must say you've done very well featuring our small old town of cavite city. My only wish is that my late grandmother, local historian and a great cook in her own right, Nyora Puring Ballesteros, was alive to see it. We do have very good caviteno food in cavite city. Indeed some of our local food seem to be unknown now to the current generation. I remember eatin tinapang lawlaw with unsoy and kamatis and fried dalagang bukid. These fish are not usually available anymore I notice whenever I go back home. Others I remember as a kid were Miswa with patola soup, chicken sotanghon soup, Pipian and the ones you featured are of course very local and indeed should be preserved. Congratulations Erwann and balik ka ulit sa Cavite City marami pang masarap na food doon!

It's not just tasting the food but getting the taste of the culture! 💟

The way you really dive deep into the culture of the places you go to, is why you have better content. You are patient to learn, curious and so generous to these people to use your platform by bringing awareness to Filipino culture. Thank you, Erwan!

Also I like what Mr. Ige Ramos said in the end that we do really need to protect, promote and keep our cuisine alive without necessarily having foreign celeb chefs and foodies validating the quality of our dishes... Looking forward to read your book Mr. Ige Ramos. :) I just found out that your father and my lola are cousins... Very interesting! ☺️

I love the way caviteño told your not fat!? You just love food and the process of cooking. The history of food in cavite is colorful and unique. This vlog is amazing just like your apo reef vlog. More subs and be safe...

Regional Cuisine in Philippines is so much more than oily, fatty and underseasoned food. Pampanga, Cavite, Ilocos, Iloilo, just to name a few. Great job on this video.

Thank you so much for sharing the history behind how ‘FILIPINO’ food evolved. Now with a food allergy to shellfish, and shrimp sauce i look forward to learning more about how to try different foodies
