Very professional, to the point, flowing, and does not dwell on the technical specifications, but on the use and accuracy, which is exactly what I am looking for in the review ,thank you.
Mennyire különbözhet a kettő?
Great video! I currently have the first fit bit versa. My versa poorly calculates my distance on the treadmill. For example, I run a 5K and it tracks it only at 4K or less! How accurate was the distance when you ran on the treadmill using this watch?
@@TheGregOry_ I don't know what happens in the watch for sure, I'd rather say it downloads a low bit rate version of the songs to save storage space but that's just what I think. I could be wrong, but there is not much information out there regarding to this. Or if there is I couldn't find it yet...
Excellent review, I've had my venus Sq for about 3 weeks but didn't realise is did all the stuff you mentioned. But one thing, you can use curve card on the watch which allows you to load most bank cards via the curve app and change the card when necessary so that's one way of getting around the card issue.
Thanks Tyrone. I believe I could use Revolut for Garmin Pay too but still it would be great in general if my bank supported it. They only launched Google and Apple Pay support recently so there is little hope...
Good review, thanks. I have that watch and I like it. One bug though: the navigate to saved location and back to start do not work on mine. It just shows an arrow that always points to the top of the screen. Garmin says it is a known bug they are working to address in a SW update.
i heard in another review that you could not use any of the music controls on the watch without ending whatever exercise tracker you were currently using. did this happen to you or did you find a way around it? this might determine if i get the music one or not... thanks for your help and awesome review!
Does the Venu Sq Music require you to have your phone (data, LTE or wifi )near by when you send an emergency alert or can the watch send text without phone/data/LTE/wifi? Furthermore, the gps tracking and sports features are all available on the watch just syncing it is required to be near the phone correct? This is going to become my first smartwatch so I am unsure how it all works.
You can download songs from your Spotify and use the Music offline, no phone needed. GPS is built in, no phone needed again, only for syncing. The only feature that will need data or cellular connection is the emergency alert
Can u mention other watches they play mp3? Thx. For my activites its the most beloved feature. Actually i dont know why is so few watches on the market with this music option. Thx again.
I like setting up Run 10 minutes, Walk 1 Minute and enjoy having a countdown of how many more minutes I have to run until the next walk break. Is it possible to set this up in the Venu Sq? I am having trouble finding this information. I know with the Forerunner 45 I need to set it up a long way by setting up workout intervals instead of the built in Run/Walk feature. Many thanks!
hi, thank you for the expansive review. 2 questions: 1 - can you sync your exercise sessions with Strava? 2 - can you modify your music DURING a workout? change tracks or volume? Thank you
You have to connect your spotify account first so you can download some offline content to the watch and then you will not need to use a phone to listen to music on the watch
I mostly use my watch for exercise tracking and the Garmin gives you more flexibility and more options. The Fitbit might be a better smartwatch but not as good as a fitness tracker in my opinion.
Hi, how many data fields can you set in swimming profile? And can you change pages with wet hands. And finally, can you track drills in swimming profile?
You can use the touchscreen with wet hands as it doesn't lock like it does on the Fitbit Versa for example. You can track intervals/rest on the watch but no drills per se. I don't remember exactly how many data screens you can have for swimming specificly but I believe it tops out at three for most activities.
Hi. I just bought this watch and went for a run, but I realised it didn't register in the connect app under running. Do I have to manually start the run exercise? Have you tried the auto start feature for exercises? And does it have a big impact on battery?
With MoveIQ enabled the watch is supposed to track running automatically. Not sure how it effects the battery life but honestly, I’d rather start my activities manually all the time
Does the GPS automatically kick in when u start your running, cycling work out ... i done a cycle and it didn't track distance am I missing something in settings
Hey I'm from ireland, I have watched both venu videos and I am planning on getting the venu for Christmas! Would you recommend it compared to the Samsung Galaxy watches or other smartwatches?
I'd rather buy a fitness watch from Garmin if my focus was exercise and performance tracking which the Venu SQ does brillaintly. If I was interested in more lifestyle and smart features than I'd think about buying a galaxy watch or fitbit or something. Other than that it comes down to what features you need. The Fitbit Versa 3 lasts 2-3 days longer with one charge than the Venu SQ for example. But I prefer the feature set and basically everything else in the Venu SQ. If you don't need music playback you can get it for less money, so there is that too. And there is the form factor. Square or circular? Touchscreen or no touchscreen? Sorry buddy, I'd need some caffeine to answer your question properly... 😁

No watch is accurate enough on the treadmill unless you can connect it to the treadmill itself somehow
Hi! Great stuff and good job! Is it compatible with apple airpods? Thx
The Airpods support SBC so they should work just fine
Any watch can be for a hard core runner if the watch is accurate and has a good enough battery life. Which it sounds like this watch is both.
nice video
isn't the sound quality of music depending on the headphones you use instead of the watch itself?
Course it does but if you feed any earbuds with low bit rate, heavily compressed files they will sound bad regardless of what buds you use
