Dude are you alive? Your videos were my favorite and were around when I bought my first car ever, which happened to be a 2016 wrx. I'm watching these things reminiscing. They were good times.
Kind of wheels are those
Question how much whp you make on 93 pump gas
Shit doesn’t start moving until 4500, not because of your front mount, but because that is where your stock internals have enough rotational mass to handle the torque. Your tuner did a good job.
True. The tuner is protecting him. All that torque from a low RPM standpoint is so stressing on the transmission, clutch, & etc.
@@tone33012 no, it puts stress on the weak fa20 rods.
That bov man sounds good👍
Thanks
@@RyansRandomActs
You have an awsome built watched all the parts install vids and the dyno vid great vids and content god bless bro keep the vids coming
I always thought bov were terrible for wrx and sti? Any input on that opinion?
@@3zkimo479 bov are bad for wrx and sti. I dont have a bov, I have a bpv. Mine is fully recirculating.
Sup Ryan.. on going flex fuel kit is that with new injectors and better fuel pump? Yeah going E.... I've heard though the fa20 doesn't like e85? What's your thoughts on it? Car looks good bro.. good info great videos!
Stock injectors but dw300c fuel pump and these cars love e85. Thanks
Anthony wrx stay under E65 and add fuel stabilizer to each fill up to help lubricate the lines. That will keep your car happy. E50-E55 would be ideal.
@@5layereddip142 thanks for the comments... it will be next spring when I do a major upgrade to the WRX.. can't wait to see where it goes... SubieLife....✌
Anthony wrx you’ll love it! Good luck
Sick car man!
Thanks
I have had my 17 for 6 months now and I just found out now from this vid that the gas cap slides into that swing panel. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. Helps WRX owners make informed decisions about mods.
No problem
Instead of adding less of each fuel, lower the tank volume input in your calculator.
Why would you color you headlights yellow??? That’s literally what everybody is avoiding
Can you do 0-60 times compared to a stock WRX just for comparison?
This question seems stupid out of all the cool stuff you have on your car, but what cell phone holder are you using? Seems to be pretty sturdy and holds it in a nice place.
Link is in the description
In your opinion, if i were to buy a wrx, should i stay wrx or go sti?
Benn Davison wrx makes more power mod for mod (full bolt ons) as a daily it’s better. You can make low 300whp with just E85, fuel pump, flex fuel kit, accessport and a tune(everything else stock)
Shinigami. Wrx what about adding a jpipe, with mods you just mentioned here. I’m thinking about adding some mods on my 18 wrx and debating on flex fuel. Without e, max torque protuned stock, 260?
Alex Peguero well the mods listed above are more tailored to running E85. Yeah adding a j pipe will give you more power, but IBRC tgv delete would be a better power adder for the money. They really open up the restriction on the manifold/top end power. Now if you ran a j pipe and tgv deletes with a protune. You’ll see some nice gains even without E85, but for the money E85 is a deal.
Are you going to get a intake manifold? Love the subie😍🤩🚘🛠
I dont know. Haven't seen any made . Thanks
@@RyansRandomActs brz manifold swap...you should loose some lag going to a front throttle body...also can run port or meth injection...I've got it but just waiting for my ewg headers and turbo to install them all at once...car is so much fun though! (I'm 375awhp/365tq E60 on conservative Ambot tune)
Damn i wanted to go e in my sti but this shit sounds too complicated
Maybe I’m heavy footed or maybe it’s an sti thing but I’m lucky to get 18. I’m only ridin with stage 2 as well
I was surprised my cold start was gone too after the tgv delete. Kinda nice to early morning starts. Less pissed off neighborhood 😂
Right . That's a plus
Too bad there isn't e85 near where i live
Hell yeah man. Lovin’ the channel keep me coming.
Thanks
So dope
I somehow someway got 40mpg on ethanol..idk how but I seem to be getting better mpg on ethanol
Literally not possible, it's half as many BTUs and higher specific gravity.
@@xWheatThinz Well that's what appeared on my dash, I have a photo to prove it hah. Maybe the mpg sensor isn't working properly.
Hey Ryan sorry, its UK SOOBIE GUY. I feel real bad for you that you own such a perfection car, & you have to go through this delema every time you gass up. In the UK we have, 95,& 99 Ron. It just means if you drive a, ", Let's say, a 20 year + old car, 95 would be enough. But anything you want to race, track, or just enjoy the power, we use 99ron.I think it's like, if you run on say E85 + meth, that's what we get at the pump here. You guy's have the best mods and races, and here we have the best gas. Two need to combine Bro. 💯💯💯👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘
Agree 💯
i might have missed it but why not just full the car up with straight e85?
I run a flex fuel kit. Cant run full e85. Anything over e60 in these cars is to much
Ryan's Random RideZ for that specific motor?
@@1VIPWRX yes
Ryan's Random RideZ ok makes sense . Thanks for responding
Hey what's up Ryan, i'm writing you here because i don't know any other way... i now have a 2018 crosstrek and switching to a 2019 wrx next march. I installed the perrin shift stop, shifter bushing and perrin short throw shifter (the one under the car with the roll pin removal). The perrin short throw shifter has no weight to it at all so it made the shifts really clunky (yes it fits on the crosstrek), i had to force it in every time. I'm just wondering: howcome you had the same experience using the heavy boomba shifter plate? According to what i read, the round dust/heat shield with 4x 12mm bolts and the little plate with 2x 12mm interfere with the boomba shifter plate and maybe it's because of that that you gave it a 5 out of 10? Lots of people either removed those parts or ground them down or used spacers so it wouldn't touch the plate, and in every video, everybody is so happy after the install, but i kind of trust you more, so i was wondering if you still feel the same way about the boomba plate or if you fixed the problem? Thanks!
I think I just got used to it.
Ayyy I live in AZ and only get e54 so dont have to mix lol. But im getting tuned rn for flex fuel. Fun process. Going to get some more bolt ons after my wedding lol. Great channel, best of luck with the build.
Thanks bud. And congrats on the wedding
Ryan's Random RideZ thanks man. Looking forward to all the content to come
400 whp on stock turbo?
Quick question. What if you’re doing a roadtrip and cant find ethanol fuel pumps. Can you still go 100% gas with a flex fuel setup?? Thank you!!
@Billy Dee Thank you!!
how long will the mechanical fuel pump last running fuel it wasn't designed for?
I'm on flex fuel and on 93 the car is pist. E85 is the only thing I fill up with unless it an emergency. On 93 the fine knock learn goes to 2.40 right off the bat, the E85 has 1.40 FKL max. On my 18 STI
i have PRL FMIC and get Tq at 1800rpm
yes please lets get a breakdown
No heat soak at all with a top mount intercooler. Once you get the motor built, THEN you need a fmic. I'm running no more then 10 deg hotter then atmosphere under boost with a Grimspeed tmic.
Would you take your car for a long road trip as it currently is right now? Say a 7 hour road trip one way? Or would you say these cars wouldn't make it?
I'd say it would make it just fine
if your doing a 7 hour trip ,you can always fill up your tank with 93 octane only and get better drivability and less lag because the cobb flex fuel sensor will adjust the amount of power it gives you based on your ethanol content
Is there a reason you only monitor fine knock learn instead of feedback knock on your AP?
Several videos later “STAGE 3 Subaru WRX blown engine”. Im still shocked you went that far without an engine built first. Best of lucks bro. Definitely a dope built though.
Saiyan_ EvoX plenty of people run this set up without any issues
I am at stage 3 for the last 30k Miles and no issues
At 400 whp
Thanks
BLUESUBIE That’s awesome! Good for you man, seriously. Wish several of the wrx owners where I live had the same luck. That Ringland failure sucks from what I’ve seen, and most of them were stock.
How strong is the standard WRX motor? I i know the STIs are weak when pushing the stock motor and tend to blow up.
Ravenstylea2 350-370wtq is around the limit, before your rods go. Must guys with full Bolt ons and E85 run around 400whp and 350wtq. If your tuner is good he will keep toque a little lower than the limit. I’m on E85 full bolt ons.
Too much torque low rpm is what bends rods, arbitrary figures are not important. The FA20DIT is strong with the right tuning strategy.
Sounds like it wasn’t modded correctly. Really its a hit or miss I think. I understand 350whp is the max limit and anything more than that on a stock block will definitely mean bad news
You, my friend, do not know traffic lol Come to Los Angeles lol
I bet
What is your normal op temp at now?
Yes price breakdown!!!!!
Will do
Lmao your like me every time get on highway ahh f it I’ll do a pull
It’s in our blood I have my spots I just get on her!!!
Dude I drive my rex once a week and every time more in love
Praying for ur rods man
Im still a bit confused why you cut the grill in front of the intercooler. Sure it looks cool but arent you lowering the lifespan of it by having it open for rocks and debris to hit and bend that fins?
Aren't you still stage 2? Stage 3 is bigger turbo and all the supporting mods. I have a lot of similar mods to you and still consider myself stage 2.
Im sure your the only legit stage 3 daily driven wrx. Im hoping it holds for a while.
Hope so as well
Are you kidding? Lol
I have a built motor and sti trans swapped. I feel like E was definitely worth it. And i have the FPBLUE turbo so it is nice with the power difference from 91
how much power are you running?
@@Reddblur Im Etuned so when i get dyno i will let you know. Probably a few weeks i will.
Wait sti trans fits a fa20??
@@joshpetit44 yes it will. Its nice holds a lot of power compared to the WRX
@@joshpetit44 But you have to change the rear diff and do a DCCD controller
When are you going to change your turbo
When it goes bad I guess. Not worried about it yet
I'm only averaging around 18-20mpg running stage 2+ but I might just be pushing it hard
you need to get the BRZ manifold kit. extremely worth it.
Do they fit. Never seen them
Ryan's Random RideZ IBR makes a manifold swap kit. I think you already have the full TGV deletes from them, so you just need the rest of the manifold kit.
Are you running on a stock block still with stock internals?
Yea flirting with the idea of goin E....think I'm staying top mount, agree that I like the look of a front mount too but always hear bout the "lag"
Yes I wanna know the price break down
3 more gallons after it auto shuts off? I dont know champ...I'm going to test this.
I've topped off my 17 many times and I've never seen it auto shut off....
@@OkamiOni the pump auto shuts off...idk what you're talking about
Might be 2 gallons to top it off but yes iv done it.
@@RyansRandomActsupdate: you were close 2 tenths of a gallon went in after the auto shutoff
What are your plans after going stage 3?
Probably some aesthetic mods
bro list and price thank you.
So what’s next Ryan
Idk yet. Just enjoy it for now
Dope vid, car looks and sounds great since last I’ve seen it. Have you ran Vince again yet? Let me know next time y’all are out I have a couple cars you can baseline with!
hell yeah dude we're about even on mods. i just did my flex fuel kit a few weeks ago too and im about to get tuned for it. hell i noticed a difference running e30 mix on the flex fuel base map but im sure its going to be a whole new animal once im tuned for it. I have FBO as well but Khanacooler TMIC! How you liking the flex!?
I mean going bigger turbo
Turbo brand?
Stock... so Garrett
I'm not sure that a muffler delete is going to bring back the "cold start" your looking for... Your cold start was most likely altered during your tune. Tuners have the ability to change it so the RPMs are similar to warm idle at start up.
Just been wanting the car to be louder in general.
@@RyansRandomActs You'll get it back if you toss the TGV's back on.
Please stop saying you have turbo lag on a stock turbo wrx....that is rediculous. If you have a lack in response it is a driveability problem with the tune and or you just don't know how to stay in the correct rev range to keep the car in power. One day if you get a turbo bigger than that tiny little stock snail you will understand where real lag comes into play.
Subtracting 1 from each fuel type will give u a different ratio.
Cost!
Will do
The lag is probably just your tune...
Price breakdown would be nice
Lol my stock STi gets 250-270 per tank xD but, beautiful rumble
Mine gets about 20.1 mpg. :/ only a 6 mile commute thru the city everyday tho
Couple of questions! 1. Are you dailying this stage 3 WRX? 2. Any idea the high end powerband is because of the FMIC or Flex-fuel? 3. Did your tuner mention anything about the Boomba BPV? I heard both good and bad things about it. Obviously it sounds cool; even tho it is fully recirculated, it's hard to imagine the flutter has zero harm to the turbo...4. Any other mod plan soon? lol
Car is awesome dude, keep it up!
I do daily the car and my tuner didnt say anything about the bpv. The high powerband is due to both. My power gains on E start around 4500rpm. Idk the plans next yet.
I wanna go flex fuel so bad!
It's a night and day difference
Ryan's Random RideZ agree! Why haven’t decided to do it
Make a video on carbon build up!!
Lmao 20-25 MPG on E. I have a stock narrowbody and I'm getting 19 MPG, consider yourself blessed.
Yea 20mpg is still decent
Right!!! I get like 20.5 on a good day (08 lol)
@@imhim4376 Ay I've never actually found anyone with an 08 lmao. Sedan or hatch?
@Suit One yea a rarity right?! Lol! Sedan
@@imhim4376 Holy shit, I've met a rare 08 or two (not in person, only ever seen one other WRX up close in person :(), but I've never met another 08 sedan, that's crazy. Done anything to her? I'd love to talk since we have identical cars lol.
Yes.. who wouldn’t want a price breakdown? I sure do.
Yeah you better pass that impala
Priceeee i need to know 🥺
Will do
man your pod filter is nasty!! I like the videos like this in cabin be good if you can get another angle of the dash too to see how quick it is
I’m staying on 93 going to keep fairly stock and build a integra Da9 or if can find an older wrx in my bracket
Your gas milage is worse cause you keep stomping the gas. Lol, I bet it rocks!👍
Yea that prolly doesn't help 🤣
Tell me why my stock sti 2017 ( back then ) beat a stage 3 WRX🤣he was banging gears too
Yes, cost breakdown puhlease
I’m getting it done by tuner, my cost is $3200 with labor with everything he has
I’m not trying to hate or nothing but isn’t stage 3 an upgraded turbo ? This is a stage 2+
No that would be considered a big turbo wrx. Stage 3 is full bolt ons and e85
Bruh how does taking a gallon off each equate to the correct ratio of blend?! Lmao
Get a larger turbo and most of that lag goes away.
It's opposite day
Ummm yeah..
Ur making 350
Tuned down to 390whp
Sounds pretty shitty ! And not worth the hassles of filling up! Should of just got an STI!!
With same mods WRX is faster than the STI...
