What kind of power can these handle safely . I'm shooting for 280whp. Nothing crazy. But I'm coming from a high hp srt4. So I'm still learning with these cars
I have a general question and it may be a stupid one lol. When you install the flex fuel kit or lets say a downpipe, how soon do you have to get the car tuned? I understand that tuning the car is mandatory after mods like these, my concern is just how long can you drive the car without the tune without damaging to car? Should i drive straight to the tuner after the installs? Thank you. Great channel.
Nathan Leestma after installing a down pipe it should be ASAP but flex fuel as long as you already have a tube you will be fine running it until you get the flex fuel tune
Hey so I went to go look at a 2011 wrx with 67k miles. He’s on flex fuel and has a bov. The thing I notice he is missing is an air injection pump. the guy is running the car that way for about 6 months now. Do you think that’s bad or it’s not something I should worry about? I’ve heard people saying I’d need a tune but i know he took the car to just have the check engine light go away.
Had a noob question. I ordered the cobb flex fuel kit and fuel pump for my 17 wrx. Could i install this and run it on my 91 pump gas untill i get ut properly tune to run on the e85?
My WRX Channel hey could use your help.i installed the flex fuel kit. And i got a check engine light code p2007. My tgv delete is stuck closed. I do not have tgv deletes so i connected the harness. Everything is connected. Dont know what it could be
Also do you need to run a full cat back exhaust, I have muffler deletes and stock down pipe, I you can recommend the needed upgrades it will be really appreciated.
I highly recommend an aftermarket j-pipe. There is a lot of restriction in that pipe and they are relatively cheap. You just need to get a tune for it.
I have e85 gas pumps at all the local Sheetz chain gas stations around me. If I do the flex fuel kit cant I run e85 like any other fuel (post tune of course) ? I'm getting conflicting info on the internet forums. How do all these flex fuel vehicles run it with no issues? If the fuel isnt going to add enough lubricant to the fuel pump. I'm cornfused. Lol
Like & subscribed If you don’t have E85 support in your area, do you still recommend to install this kit? We have one place that has E85 here but if that place ever ran out, I’d be out of luck. What do you recommend?
@@joev8275 that's why it's called a flex fluel kit ,it's FLEXIBLE ( when you get a tune for 91-93 AND E85 )and if you can't find e85 then you can safely pump whatever is avaliable (without having to change the maps ) you can also safely mix and match 93 and E85 to come out with let's sat E70 and the ecu will detect and adapt to what's coming in and give you the HP based on the octane readings, this kit is a PUMP and go , I LOVE IT
Alex Ortega That’s bad ass. I was reading reviews and apparently the sensor go bad. What is your experience with them? How difficult is the flex fuel install, fuel pump regulator install? What all do u recommend I install if I go the flex fuel route?
I feel like you are like the O. G. of the WRX channels I follow. Your videos are great man keep up the awesome work!
I really love this channel. Thank you for not being douchey

An hour for an E85 pump!? wow! and I thought it was bad in Tucson for flex-fuel. Looking forward to the results!
Yeah, Washington really isn't big on E85. Good luck on the Forester!
Looks like a straight forward install. Looking to pick one up over the holidays!
Car still run 3 years later?
Did you have too change your injectors for the flex fuel? Our was it just literally plug and play and ran E-85?
Flex fuel is amazing man. Your going to love it! I know I do.
YESSSSS corn!!! awesome choice buddy you're going to love it while tracking the car!
Let me get a ride in the GT-R!
When's the flex fuel tune date? We can cruise together and film!
Hit me up. It's in December. Totally down.
Just recently started following your channel. Keep up the great content. You will have many subs in the next year.
Yup this channel is cool I watch all his videos and I don’t own a subaru. I have a Audi rs4
OG Datto Watto same here but I own a 17 honda accord sport. I might be trading in for one these in the future.
I love Audi's!
Great install, do you need to flash a base map after this install? Or can you drive on current tune till it gets pro tuned?
The only thing I worry about is boost_creep running E85 with a catless J in cold temps.
I love your car man! 👌🏽
I’m about to purchase this kit…. I’m currently Cobb stage 2+
Is there anything else I need ?

Yes. I have mine installed and I'm not tuned for E85 yet. It's just a sensor so it's safe.

wondering if its fine to run ethanol on a car thats always parked outside. (since ethanol draws water more likely)
2 after changing the fuel kit and you’re not running the 85 yet do you still need a tune
Great video bro
I hate to be a copy cat but I want my car to look exactly like yours. It’s perfect 😂
Where are you planning to get your E85 fuel? I am also from Washington state and was curious where a pump is. Solid video! ✌🏽
The closest place to me is at the Army base at JBLM.
Damn that's a drive for me! lol. Do you need anything special to use the E85 at JBLM?
Shinigami. Wrx im going to be stationed there soon. Ill deliver to yall. Haha
That would be awesome! lol. You could probably make some coin delivering to people haha
Shinigami. Wrx i will doit or maybe meet halfway or something. Ill comment again when i move there should be there by march.

Thoughts on Cobb catted j pipe vs invidia or grim speed? Is the $200 difference worth it
Fer Monge They all get the job done. It just depends on how much brand tax you want to pay.
My WRX Channel is build quality the same
What do you have
1 do you need to change the fuel pump
What else do you need? Is there a tune you need to install on your accessport?
Tyler G wondering about this too
Tyler G you need a protune to be able to use the E
I just need a tune now. You can get a dyno tune or an e-tune.
Your doggies are cute! Feature them more lol.
Which fuel pump did you use? Also, no video of the install?
DW300c
My WRX Channel thanks for the reply. I did find that out in your other 101 video for e85. Love your car keep up the good work.
Is that just sensors???
Are you running full e85 or blend ?
How safe is it to run e85 with only that kit. What about the injectors and fuel pump?

Bit late on my reply. But most people upgrade the fuel pump to an E compatible one. And don't run higher than e60
Do I need a tune for e85 or I’m fine after I install it ?
Yes, you will need a tune.
@@CarsWithJR besides the tune and e85 kit what else do I need before going e85
Do u need to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors for this kit?
The fuel pump is recommended. Injectors, no.
@@CarsWithJR Which brand of fuel pump do you recommend?
No need to upgrade fuel pump to injectors right?
My tuner had me upgrade my fuel pump to the deastchwerks dw300
There are shops charging 500$ for this install.
Are you planning to keep with the stock clutch while running flex fuel or do you plan on getting an aftermarket one prior to your tune ?
If everything works out, I'm planning on getting a clutch before the tune, but the clutch still holds strong right now.
dogs stole the show!! lol
Car is looking good man. Hope one day you join us big HP wrx guys and bring more awareness to the Fa20dit with all your followers.
Cobb kit is def better than the "other' one. lol
What injectors are you running
Naib Chowdhury stock, FA20DIT doesnt have aftermarket injectors; and stock fueling is good for 600+hp
ByRosay so you can run e85 with just the flex fuel kit and a tune? And possibly a new fuel pump?
That's pretty much all you need. If I were to do it all again, This would be one of the first mods I would do.

So you recommend a front mount Intercooler or would the stock tmi would handle it?
FMIC all the way. It combats heat soak better than a TMIC.
