As such, it's important to make sure that they stop saying stupid things, or at the very least, to get developers to realize that what the journalists are saying is dumb. True, ragging on stupid people who are angry over nothing is dumb fun in and of itself, but it's very important regardless that we make a point to highlight how much the average person disagrees with them.
@Bill Anderson Thanks for listening to what I had to say. I don't really know how to take compliments properly, but I'm thankful you gave them. In turn, thank you for being open-minded about the situation. Good luck out there, and thanks for making my day a bit better.
Everyone that calls it gimmicky have only tried the phone in your face solution and think that is VR . . . Oculus Quest will hopefully fix that misconception with its decent entry level price point for real VR.
@@xSS4x Honestly that really seems to be the biggest problem with VR. Since it's so costly, it's very hard to really see what it's like, and the stupid phone thing ends up being the only option for many people. Heck, I originally had that impression of it. But two things got me interested: Duck Season, and New Retro Arcade: Neon. I was getting a new PC soon, and decided to get one built to handle VR and try it for myself. I was instantly hooked, I use my Rift very frequently. And what I've found is that it's impossible to describe to anyone what it's REALLY like to use. Videos of these games on a 2D screen dont even come close to showing what it's really like or how fun it can be.
@Connorshark The Quest is out and its 399, same price as what i paid for my Rift over a year ago. its the best VR option for anyone without a PC that wants a great VR experience.
Minigui98 foot trackers seem logical at first but they're not likely to add much to movement alone, it would need to rely more on an overall locomotion system with the foot and hip/chest tracking aiding foot step timing and activation of the system.
Thats just asking for too much i mean its not impossible but very hard to do and it would slow development and put the whole project into jeopardy so i don't see them doing it any time soon let them finish the things they started before going onto new ones
mr.MYSTERIOUS,YT Not at all, the whole body structure is a Ragdoll, it would require a bit of thinking about since right now the collisions for body and legs are choosing what they collide with, but as with what Brandon said, the characters have physics that actively follow animations, the hand tracking essentially just replaces animations for the hands, full body tracking would actually be easier to add to this thatn it was to make the animations in the first place.
Your team of devs are a breath of fresh air in the gaming industry. Passion for the work and attention to detail like non other at the moment. Truly amazing work, goosebumps throughout the video with excitement.
There are a ton of VR dev teams just like this, Node just has a large audience. The VR community is pretty small (albeit several million people, lol), but the indie dev studios are thriving and the level of passion brings it back to the Atari days where everyone was discovering and bringing new things to the table almost every day.

Its a fun idea but a huge majority of the appeal to this game is the physics which wont be nearly as in depth in any form of multiplayer. Aside from dead people ragdolling and being able to throw stuff around theres no real way to translate all the physics in this game into multiplayer. It *could* be possible in a normal game but not a VR one
Dude, I'd break my "no early access" rule to play Boneworks. Even in this state. Even the first 10 minutes. I could spend hours just playing around with that.
I just got a PSVR yesterday and VR gaming has been one of the most engaging and entertaining gaming experiences I've ever had, and I've been gaming since the 90s(turned 30 in December). My next VR device will be an Index(I may get a quest or S if I don't build a new gaming rig before then) and I'll definitely be looking for this game.
You do realize it exists and it’s not that hard to do,, and you don't even need a suit for it. take this video for example, m.th-cam.com/video/dwEhh_GeKrk/w-d-xo.html
Subscribing to this channel is quite a double edged sword. On the one hand it is very epic and entertaining. On the other hand you are constantly reminded that you dont have a vr yet.

91 views the second I get the notification. Also, seeing Niko smacking the humanoid in the beginning with the baseball bat made me realize how cool it would be to have those friction lock deploying police batons in a vr melee combat game.
I feel unworthy to critique anything about this, but I would like to see some AI fro crawling when a normal get-up doesn't work. I think that would make enemies feel more real when they have injured limbs.
That and some dismemberment for that sword, it might be a bit to graphic for what they want the game to be but using that huge greatsword would feel off without it

(there was something in between) the monkey model used within that game is the same in this game and this is the next game made by stress level zero. So please if anybody finds out that there is a cat in the game attempt to do something with the monkey and the cat possibly bring them together or bringing them to a certain place Let's find out what this mystery is!
Its cus most good developers buy premium, so it doesn't say "made in unity" when you load up the game. So people mainly only see the unity logo in asset flips.
Whoever says that clearly just depends on the engine, which means they suck at making games. You can create almost anything on any modern engine, if you got skills.
@@DurosModz which kindda sucks that the unity name is heavilly tarnished in such a way that a developer will be willing to pay up to remove the unity logo
Ive finally JUST finished Boneworks' story about 3 hrs ago, I gotta say the game was fun, the puzzles were pretty great. Some puzzles were a bit tough, BUT the physics model makes it so ypu can do some really practical things, and its awesome how you can climb on a lot of the environment. Finding and being able to use the rope in the openig section to pull yourself up and ring the bell was a nice small touch helping to teach the physics and physicality youre allowed to do. All in all, especially for its price, its a great VR title and if youre a pro at VR its def a must buy. Its not a game to have VR beginners start with, I dont get motion sick but I can certainly see how 9thers might. There is SOME jank with the physics ON OCCASION, but honestly (for me) it was pretty few and far-between, and the few times it did happen it was certainly excusable, especially with the physicalized avatar and the few instances of clipping from climbing, but again its excusable. Bullets are the currency, akin to Metro - where you spend the bullets you pick up to purchase weapons from vending machines at the beginning of most stages. If youve saved a lot of ammo and mostly melee'd thru the story like me, youll have a decent chunk of rounds for the final stage, which wothout spoilers trust me you want as MANY bullets as you can grab. Go after every bullet crate you see! Trust me. Its not that the end stage requires a ton of shooting, you just really want that currency. That part can add a lot of replayability with collecting all the weapons by tossing them in the reclamation bin to use in Sandbox mode, or buy some developer tools/weapons! All-in-all, this is a must own for VR vets looking for something that isnmore than a tech demo, has replayability, and really lets you get creative.l with the props, weapons, environment, and puzzle-solving.

Can't wait for game journalists to bash the game for being "realistically violent". Game looks great, might even get me to buy a Valve Index.
@Bill Anderson Stop, I don't like how true your statement is.
@@lord-bingo It doesn't look realistically violent but it looks very cruel because the enemies can't fight back and look so helpless and dumb lol. Plus that agonizing scream coming from them.
@@weaverquest idk... When he pushed in the claymore it almost made me feel queasy by how real it looked.
@Bill Anderson
Devs and publishers care about what journalists say, even if the fans themselves don't. It's a dumb system, but they're the mouthpieces that the people making the content listen to.
@Bill Anderson
Thanks for listening to what I had to say. I don't really know how to take compliments properly, but I'm thankful you gave them. In turn, thank you for being open-minded about the situation. Good luck out there, and thanks for making my day a bit better.

VR continues to amaze me. It’s not a gimmick, it has genuine fun behind it. This? This is freaking awesome!

I am consistently blown away every time you guys upload something new about Boneworks. Phenomenal stuff. Keep it up!
I would LOVE to see Full Body Track/Leg trackers implemented into this game.
Macinsocks only to Sparta kick the enemies right or stomp on them :)
For movement as well, that would be *neat*

Oh my God I just found out something if anybody else would like to listen,
In their previous game by stress level zero duck season there was some cryptic lines hidden within areas only accessible through certain items in the game like the wizard book
Within there are the words: "beware the monkey and the cat look for my symbol look for me in the next game." (there was something in between) the monkey model used within that game is the same in this game and this is the next game made by stress level zero.
So please if anybody finds out that there is a cat in the game attempt to do something with the monkey and the cat possibly bring them together or bringing them to a certain place
Let's find out what this mystery is!

Stress Level Zero has literally created the Matrix Training room
this is in unity, don't forget that. i hate how people say that unity is bad.
probably it's because those asset flip games that just wants to make quick money
Its cus most good developers buy premium, so it doesn't say "made in unity" when you load up the game. So people mainly only see the unity logo in asset flips.
Whoever says that clearly just depends on the engine, which means they suck at making games.
You can create almost anything on any modern engine, if you got skills.
True, Unity has been shed to make some excellent games, but 95% of the time people are either too lazy or too greedy to make a quality product.
