A couple weeks ago I took my very first solo trip to the coast (something I have wanted to do for years but have always been to scared to). But as I have been trying to face my fears more often & step into the knowns of life, I finally decided to go & I wanted to take you along with me. I hope this brings a bit of peace & comfort & perhaps some encouragement to you if you too deal with fear in your life! 🤍

I am still living with fear, but I try and face it every day. I am so thankful for all I have, and that I am still here. I live alone with my dog Madge, as you do now with your lovely dog Randi. I am 67 years young, and I want to feel better. I watch You Tube channels to take me out of myself, and would like to thank you for your lovely videos, as even though I can not get to the sea, I can enjoy it's magical powers through your videos. As an artist myself I always worry about how my original work will be received. The customer has paid for it sight unseen , I work on it with all my heart and I can’t undo it once it’s done. It can be terrifying. “ Do not be afraid “ Is my rock.
Beautiful filming Randi: I often turn to your videos to chill. The beach is healing. When I was recovering from grief and loss, I would sit at the beach and watch the waves roll in and pull the stress out of me, carrying it out to sea. I would emerge refreshed, to continue my life journey. In crushing times, I would return for rest and renewal. Healing followed. Just watching this video is bringing peace to me. Thank you for the time and effort you put into creating it.

I wish I had not lost my bravery when I was your age and the waves of life crashed across my shores and washed so much of me out to sea, where I had just been treading water to stay alive, to exist. I have only very recently "re-found" my bravery and awe of this world and all that it has to offer. Thank you for such beautiful videos. You are a blessing to many, I am quite sure.

Randi, you are an artist in every way. As a creator myself I watch your videos seeing and hearing everything you have to offer your viewers. Good for you! To overcome those small fears is a BIG thing.at your age. Reverse those numbers and I'm a little older and still working on conquering some fears, but still progressing. Thank you for sharing your personal journey- you could have just walked away from this- but instead you decided to come back and give hope to many. That's one of my favorite beaches. My aunt has a house there right on the beach and it's magical. Your video creation style is beautiful and I love your perspective on life. So glad I found your channel. Keep doing the solo trips. They are things I wish I had done more as a young woman.
My husband and I met and got engaged in Cannon Beach! We now live in the midwest, sadly far from any coast. Even just the first few seconds of the video brought tears to my eyes!

Oh Randi, I am so happy for you! I too live with fear, since childhood. I recently began making changes all by myself (with my rescue pets alongside me) even though I was afraid. I've never met you and am old enough to be your mother but I feel that you are a kindred spirit.

Loved this video Randi as you captured the beach I love so well with the perfect music and words of encouragement. You introduced me to that book about Fear and I need to revisit it. I am also finding now that I need to do more things alone after the loss of my best friend to cancer this past month. I don't mind my own company but there is still the fear of driving long distances alone and into unknown areas. I will do it as it is better not to let fear win and rob us of our joy. Wow, Cannon Beach is one of the most beautiful places I have visited. I went there on a work trip and was sent as a substitute solo and felt really inadequate. But I kind of faked it and nailed on a smile and just got to know people at the conference. Many are experiencing the same thing. Sometimes acting out who you want to be allows you to become that person. I loved getting up early and exploring the tide pools around the rock. Glad you experienced it!

It's not a silly fear 😊 I had this fear also but forcing myself get out alone in nature made my feel much better and I love being alone. Curently I reject people I don't like to socialize and developed a fear when I hear someone want to spend time with me. 😬 I would find any excuse not to see them.
