It feels exciting & nerve racking all at the same time to be posting again. I can't believe it's been 6 months since my last upload. I've been growing, healing, changing in this season & I hope you hear a piece of my heart in this video. Change is hard.
Sometimes life takes turns, curves, and plunges in directions we were never prepared for. Most times change comes when we never asked for it and we are left to pick up the pieces and find a new path forward.
Change is hard to adjust to, no matter the scale or size. And sometimes in the moment it feels like there is no hope, no direction forward. But, as the sun rises and sets over and over again you will begin to see the light creeping in through the cracks & scars that change had left behind.
There is hope for a new beginning.
So many memories yet to be made, so much love yet to be felt, so much beauty yet to be seen.
So hold on. Light is on its way. ☀️

You are doing it so well!! Anyone who knows to read Linda Paston and passes her poems on to the younger generation is a-okay in my world. And what a lovely poem by Mary Oliver to end on. When I was 25, I was engaged to be married. It turned out a few weeks (4-5?) before my wedding, I learned that my soon-to-be husband was cheating. Oh my goodness!! It was so hard. We had been a couple for 9 years, and I had already had enough heartbreak in my life. He had been my rock through all of life's chaos. Of course, the wedding was called off, and he married someone else before our wedding was even to happen. I didn't think I would survive. But I did of course. I thought I was going to be a suburban mom. It turned out I became a writer and traveled to places I'd never dreamed of. I also met and worked with both Mary Oliver and Linda Paston believe it or not. And I now look back and think about how lucky I was to have been set free from the path I was on. Someone was looking out for me, and someone is looking out for you. All will be well my young friend. What a beautiful video!

Sweetheart, you are sooo beautiful 💗 Words from a 55 year old mom that has been alone for a very long time … Some days will hurt soooo bad, you just won’t even know what to do with the terrible pain…it’s overwhelming …then some days won’t hurt as much …as time goes on it becomes more moments than entire days …you’ll be okay, then something will get you, it could be the smallest thing, the way the light hits your coffee cup could trigger a flood of tears 😢…But as time goes on these painful moments start to get shorter, you start leaning how to compact them … process them … even discard them … time goes on and as you step into the future you don’t necessarily leave the past behind …no, we do not … instead we learn how to leave the pain behind … but the truth is, we learn how to live with pain … it stretches our hearts even bigger than they were before … And so it might be thirty years from now and you might have children and be married and all kinds of beautiful things then a trinket in a drawer …an old kept picture …something from this time will still pierce your heart and it’s still gonna hurt a little, but that’s okay …it’s okay … it means you’re beautifully alive and that you never forgot who you were …Oh how I’ve been thru this pain … a long marriage and two young children my husband left me …that was 15 years ago …I would not have made it without my faith, my dog, and chocolate…I know it’s so hard and it’s better to accept the pain won’t just pass instantly … accepting that makes it easier … My dog had pooped on the lawn and I was just too overwhelmed and tired to clean it and so I left this one pile on the lawn and every morning I watched it turn white and after a time all this poop turned to dust and blew away and I realize what a horrible analogy but that’s what the hurt will do eventually, it will dry up and blow away so you don’t see it it smell it but if you look closely there’s still a lil stain on the lawn and a flower grew up out of this poop spot and that’s what going to happen to you because you are too beautiful, authentic and loving to be alone forever but it’s good for now, it truly is. I’m so sorry this happened, in the end it will be a blessing, you will see …. So much love to you sweetheart … I bet you cried a lot of tears next to your dog, they truly are angels ….
My therapist says we need at least 9 months to get over the loss. We must go through the full cycle and be born again. You're almost here. You know how to see and show beauty like no one else. I hope this ability will help you get through the tough times. So happy to see you agan fnd wish you all the best!

I want to say that I am truly sorry for the situation that caused the silence these past few months. That would be incredibly difficult to go through. I absolutely love how you said that you are seeing buds and how your life is starting to become lovely. All you said was poetic and precious to hear you say. "Light is on its way." That it is. You have recorded another breathtaking video, but one filled with emotion, that I teared up. I can't believe the gorgeous view you have from your window seat by the way. Wow. I am amazed at the beauty. This is your parents' cabin? Wow!! What a cool place.

I found the ending of Significant Relationships in my 20s hurt like craaaaazy, almost broke my spirit. But I took the wisdom of the experience and heartache with me and it served to make me deeply intentional in future relationships and highly nurturing of my heart in ways that I was never conscious was possible before. All this to say… yes the sun is rising once again for you, and even brighter I’m sure.

What a hard thing to go through. I’m going through a change also that’s so scary. My husband has dementia and everyday I wake up in fear of what’s to come or happen.
