Lol I have 237614 and going up. Only issue this truck has had from day one is a turbo actuator. Yes I have the 68rfe. I change both transmission filters every year along with the fluid, has a trailer behind it 3/4 of the time. Plan on running this truck to damn near million before I’m done with it..
Bought a deleted truck in Texas … lots to learn … I’m rolling with it , it’s driving great . Still worried about that fuel rail heater bolt … might get the banks set up. 2010 2500 with 180k 🤷♂️
I’ve got a 2014 ram 2500 with 1304K miles on it that oil temperature is exactly what I run all the time doesn’t matter if I’m in 0° weather for it or a hot climate
Oil temp is fine My 18 runs the same since new has 170k now. If you still have a egr cooler check it. Mine caused mine to lose coolant at around 140k. The oil is from when they changed the filter. If you don’t use a filter plug they spill when you slide it out.
I want a 2014 ram 2500 and if the truck isnt deleted when i buy it thats the first thing im doing. Delete and tune the motor to be able to accommodate its new running conditions. A deleted truck and an emissions choked out crapbox are 2 completely different animals. Its not difficult to do at all mind you, just takes a little bit of work fine tuning the motor so it can run at its best settings. Me, im gonna be daily driving mine and as time progresses ill be pulling things pretty often with it. As a result, ill tune the truck accordingly.
these when you take care of them last 500k plus there’s a guy out there he has a ton of these and uses them for towing and he has one that has 700k miles
That oil build up is coming from the oil filter... it’s kinda hard to take out the oil filter so it always spills... u will know what I’m talking about when u do a oil change..
Im planning to buy a 2014 ram 3500 laramie not dually with 140,000 miles guy's should i buy it or not truck looks clean any ... i just love diesel ⛽️ ❤️
Dude I just bought mine from my father in law it’s an 08 6.7 with 275k now I’ve already got 290. My father in laws 2012 6.7 dually just hit 400k and my brother in laws 03 5.9 had over 400. But he’s a diesel mechanic and has sunk at least 10k a year in it racing it.
That truck was way more than 54k sticker new. I have a 2015 2500’ Cummins Big Horn package and sticker was 65k. Diesel option adds 10k to price. That was probably close to 70k, 38k value still great for a truck with that many miles.
I checked 997 turbo yesterday, I asked if the price is negotiable, he said no. But I found few things bad allready! Right on the spot. The wing Wont go up, the cup holders are broken, needs front lip, one of the seats handle is broken so they don't fold. And I did not take it for a spin so who knows what else, car has 86k miles. I'm sure they can go lower on price. I think I'd wait another year and get 2013 + GT-R with low miles. I want a rocket ship... And rear seats so our son can enjoy it too and bigger trunk for groceries. Just been thinking about rs6 avant more and more. Ugh allready at 115k , maybe in 2 years they will dip in price
@@LextasyNation I love the 997 turbo too but has to be manual and prices are up, for that price I can get low miles 2013 GTR, gtr is newer car. Mods are endless. I guess I'm answering my own questions... You think 2017 is huge step up?
Got a 2011 6.7 cummins with 245,000 since high school in 2010. same trans, straight piped, S&B cold air intake, jamo exhaust tip. religious on all fluids and no issues! 6.7 cummins get a bad rep, they’re awesome when well maintained!
@@gwood69 honestly from what i’ve seen, most people who get issues with transmission, especially the 68rfe is those guys who just put the hammer down all the time lol 😂 i baby the shit out of mine most of the time
@@codyostertag8831 ya funny how all the guys who complain about Cummins head gaskets and trannys are the same guys who do 150hp tunes and drag race at every red light and expect all the stock parts to not fail 😂
Is the EGR deleted? If not it could be leaking coolant. Diesels are the way to go. I got all my Mercedes sprinter vans new in 2014 and they all have around 500k miles and still running strong. 💪🤘
The oil temp is fine I have a 6.7 power stroke my average temp warmed up is 190-200 and if doing heavy pulling or hard driving and it’s hot outside it can go up to 210 -215
Always had a Chevy, but would love to switch to a Ram. I always worry about the transmission tho. Have you had any issues with this dodge since you posted this video?
You should expect to replace the transmission before the engine. If you replace it, look into upgrading it. It's like the cummins is amazing and they pair it with a transmission that just barely do the thing. Mine is at 158k and it seems to shift hard into 2nd and 4th gears
Bro they’re not gonna contact you… if you live in a non emission / inspection state get it done and enjoy your truck, never had a problem. I have a tundra personally I’ll never own a dodge ford or Chevy again lol 250k absolutely 0 mechanical issues yet on the Toyota

I want to get a tradesman 2018 cummins, since the tradesman has a lot less electrical features that are prone to fail in the long run
Smart move

They actually sell a plug on amazon that allows you to stop the oil filter from spilling oil as you flip it around to get it out
No problems on mine but I have the G56 so easy to get to.
My semi runs oil temp at 215 all the time .... it’s fine
I believe that the blow by novel right above where the oil is that easy

While it was in your possession was the truck reliable? Any complaints? I’m thinking about stepping up from my 1500. Thanks for the video!
No issues at all. Just had water in fuel filter so I had to change it in the winter
