    quick qustion, What happened to the silver base under the blue?

    • @true-moto-resto
      @true-moto-resto  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s only necessary if you’re actually spraying the TRi Candy colour of Candy Aleutian Blue that’s the Honda factory colour . This is a Ford Sonic Blue Pearl, and it’s an identical colour match without the need for a silver base coat.
      The OEM Candy Aleutian Blue is much more transparent with less metallic so requires the silver base. The Ford sonic blue is a metallic blue goes on as a standard base / clear, it’s not a tri-coat Candy.
      Hope that helps

    How come you didn't put the decals on first? before the clear

      From the factory, only the tank decals get clear over the decals.
      When I do the tank, I clear it, the let it cure for a week, wet sand it, apply the decals and then Re clear it . But only the tank
      Other body panels never got clear over the decals from the factory
      If someone did want to clear over the other Non Tank decals, I still wouldn’t have applied them to that fresh base coat before the clear. I prefer to let the paint and clear fully cure and gas’s off before application of any decals . Just the way I do it . Other May chose to do it differently

      I don't know who told you that..I have had 5 of these bikes and still have 2 of them..the decals were all cleared over not just the tank..You need to do a little more research

      @@kissnut1975Interesting, I’ve had 4 of them (3 of the 4 were original paint and decals) and only the tank decals were cleared in. So IDK that’s very odd.
      Of all the 80’s and 90’s sports bikes I’ve had or got, none of them have the body decals cleared in, only the tank.
      If yours are cleared in and mine were not, I cannot explain that difference.
      Either way, as long as I’m happy with how they look, no harm no foul
