There are possibly some foreign influencers at play, that are deciding to keep.the future generations as dependent on the forces that be, to be dictated to, on how much money is spent in which sector and who heads those sectors and who gets to pocket all the government money from our taxes from fake programs that do not really help the public, be it education, mental health, medicine, veterans, transport, weapons, science and research, manufacturing, food, agricultural equipment, technology, communications, internet, AI, real estate and everything else. There needs to be more diversity on who chairs and heads of departments. Most are positions occupied by a small section of the total population. More diversity and more accountability. The younger generation needs to replace these leeches that suck our country out.

Look at the Hamas “rockets” - just slightly more lethal than fireworks. They cost about a thousand bucks a rocket compared to the 40-50k plus per Iron Dome missile. Pretty effective at diverting Israeli military resources, and they give Hamas “street cred” and psychological warfare impact. while also giving the Israeli government political cover to take a hard line approach. So a win-win for both parties! I don’t have the source so need to check, but my understanding was that pre-Iron Dome deaths from rockets were 3 Israelis, and post intro of Iron Dome was also 3 Israelis. So unclear how truly effective it is.
War is such a racket and as much as I despise radical Islamic movements, there’s no question that Palestinian resistance to Israeli occupation has been incentivized to be violent through divide and conquer. Netanyahu “loves” Hamas!!

The west is just out of touch with reality. This is also why Germany thought that destroying their nuclear program and going full green would be a good idea and why it isn't in reality.
In terms of research I think it is horrible for Russia though ... Besides IT, nuclear and resource extraction they lag behind in most other fields. There is a study which shows the number of all publications relative to the whole world. Russia is roughly on the level of Japan in terms of research.

On the other hand, the establishment and the facilities necessary for its operation should be located in a neutral country or even on an island! Its economic functioning must be independent of interference and influence from the richest countries, lobbies removed! Contributions from member countries a minimum so that all countries can participate in establishing resolutions and voting, without discrimination of any kind!

at the end out of the day it just become too expensive to make things in the USA for some reason. if you can make a friction welder in china for 2000$ why would anyone try to do it in the Us for 30000$. it would make no logical sense.
