US/UK and NATO helpers did a perfect job in Yugoslavia in 1999. In Serbia today, the Italians took over the entire automotive manufacturing industry, Austrian and Italian banks dominate, US Steel took metals, Germans took the machine and tools sector, Dutch and Swiss bought majority of products brands, Austrians hold major mobile market share, Norwegians are about to take electric grid and the Germans the local telecom. Also for scraps the Arabs took the only major agro business, the Russians took oil and China took the copper and gold mines. Private ownership in Serbian hands reduced to restaurants, a few small farms and hair salons. Its not left-right anymore but global corporate empire and neo-colonialism.

I`m not defending NATO but no bomb had ever depleted uranium inside of it and no one can change my mind simply because bombs aren't made with it and they don`t need cumulative pen. characteristics. From all strike package only A-10 has 30mm ammunition with depleted uranium penetrators and they dumped it mainly over Kosovo which is why it has some cont. zones over there. Main reason we are getting cancer is bombardment of Petrohemija and similar chem. plants which produced ecological catastrophe ruining our ground waters for eternity and that`s worse damage than any "bomb with uranium" could produce.

As an Albanian from Albania! I will say one word! I am sorry for whatever happened. Not all those who speak for me or for us represent me or us. I pray to Jesus Christ our Lord (yes I am Orthodox too) that you healed or heal fully.
I cannot say more. It is too dangerous for me to speak more on TH-cam from where I am about my further thoughts.
      But I am ashamed, disgusted.
And I know all that they did. All. When I mean all, history, the told and untold from Kosovo Polje till today.
Pozdrav. May God heal you and your heart and all victims. May God render justice for all innocents, irrespective of their nationality, but for the serbs I stress since we demonize the serbs for all these ages.

@@DanielMartinez-rt2rn I see you know things... I'm a Slovenian living in the US and I can tell you that years before 1991 a plan to subvert the whole yu was in place.
Those who were a part of the independence movement in Slovenija were consulting with the CIA on how to exit yu, get IMF loans, privatize whole companies my grandparents worked weekends for free to build for the benefit of all. All that was already understood and it was also understood that it should stay hidden. Well, I'm telling you that a lot of it got uncovered... Why do all Yugoslavs here say it was international capital that tore it up? Because a couple years before SLO "exited", the US Congress passed a law that forbade the IMF to give loans to republics of SFRJ unless they go "independent". Then a whole bunch of collaborators were groomed into actually pulling through and basically taking a piss on all its citizens except a few who got rich through denationalization, and within a decade or two final sale to foreign capital. Pathetic. It happened though and all the powers that be keep on dividing and preventing people to come to a consensus. But here it is.

@@DanielMartinez-rt2rnjust like there was operation aerodynamic in Ukraine there were certain cells of unhappy nationalistic collaborators that had a problem with Tito. They had no choice but to suck it up but when Tito died the CIA plan started. Similar to what the CIA tried to pull in Cuba after Castro died. Just saying. Nobody suffered so much that they would praise the CIA for destroying their country and their people's unity. Unfortunately, having a serious conversation isn't possible anymore because we're ruled by liars and traitors pretty much.
It's people like you and me that will need to stand for justice and be wary of ideology.

Dear Jan Oberg, this is the first time I have heard someone speak so precisely and openly about the background or the real cause of the bombing of Yugoslavia.
Certainly, the real reason is known to many people who live around the world, except those who live within the USA or within the NATO organization.
Perhaps I will not exaggerate if I say that the people of America must see for themselves the truth on which the government in the USA and their foreign policy rests if they want to survive and live a life worthy of a human being.
The enemy of today's USA is within the USA itself.

No, Tito set the scene for what happened. His motto was "weak Serbia (i.e. Serbian people) - strong Yugoslavia". That's why he created two autonomous provinces in Serbia - Kosovo being one of them - he elevated at the level of republics within republic of Serbia, while Croatia, or Bosnia, had none. He created new nations (Montenegins, Macedonians, Bosnian Muslim - which is possibly the only instance in today's world where a religious group within ethically and linguistically identical group is made to be a separate nation, and so on) in order to break up the corpus of Serbian nation, etc. That wasn't sustainable, and he is actually the one who made possible all the bad that happened.

Agreed with all of said, except some "misunderstandings", or "mistakes" by the west..,
there was no misunderstandings, they just continued policies they had for hundred years, at least (from WW1), again the same in WW2 sharing those famous "western european values" of theirs, with the local puppets/butchers help, then again in the '90s, same people, from the same place west of us in Europe, coming here and supporting their puppets (always the most extreme version of them, of course), causing massive deaths and sufferings to my people...
whatever our state system may be, whether it's monarchy (in WW1, and first part of the WW2), or socialistic communist state (second part of WW2), or shock therapy capitalism ('90s)...
The results for all that time of their interaction with the region and us is the same.., so at this point we can just drop "they meant well", "they didn't/don't understand", or similar shet.., we're getting screwed by design.

As Serbians we know exactly what happened because we have a culture of scepticism and distrust towards any leadership. Therefore we are always on high alert about anything we hear in media or politics, completely the opposite of what "west" thought and thinks to this day. Most Serbians LOVE history and we have a lot of debates also people like to talk even on the street about politics despite it gets them in fights and hard arguments. This made our society highly educated on many subjects whats going on in our own country and in Europe. Especially propraganda part of it. Westerners think of them selves way too highly to understnad how washed up their world view actually is. To us its completely the opposite, the west is under hard core dictatorship that is dividing the world and pushing everyoen into war and chaos. Knowing a lot on the other hand doas not mean you can magicaly just solve everything especially if your "enemies" are all biting the propaganda "shit". Means situations and society is even more divided with many opposite opinions. Diverse. In the real sense. Not this EU and USA nonsense of democracy. Real divirsity brings real problems. Especially when nationalistc ideas are so many that you always miss to count some. I live now in NATO and rarely anyone understand anything about politics or geopolitics. They are all obsessed with their little private lives and thats the real reason why NATO can bully anyone and do whatever it likes. Hard core lies or hard core wars. No one cares.

I am immensely happy to run into someone from "the West" who actually knows the history and situation over here. What hurts me the most is running into young, intelligent, well intentioned people from there who have knowledge and understanding for every act of aggression by the US and its vassals... except what happened in Yugoslavia/Serbia. I don't know how or why but the imperialist propaganda in this case dominates even leftist thinking (indeed ironically it is rightwing people who tend to have more understanding I found).
So thanks for that. And while I doubt Mr. Jan Oberg will read this, if I might make a suggestion. To strike up a dialogue with Chris Hedges over this. I really like his insights into world events. He sees the complexity and the bad sides of US influence in every conflict... except the one in Yugoslavia. There he thinks the US was 100% justified and the Serbs just the most awful, irredeemable people.
I have half a mind to find his email and write to him myself as I just cannot believe such a gap from understanding the whole world to have zero understanding in our case. But surely such an overture would be better received from a more neutral, and storied interlocutor like Mr. Oberg.

It did not fully work because the Serbs from Croatia did not end up in Kosovo as Milosevic planned, nor did the Croats from the RS end up where the Serbs from Croatia left as Tuđman wanted.

This is great and before all the most factual research done on the topic of past Balkan war. When I hear this I instantly think that there is still hope for the West due reasonable people who can independently provide a non-emotional description about factual historical events. Thank you for this.

Thank you and congratulations for being so fair and succinct, especially as to the root of the West's animosity to the Serbs: "they are Orthodox, the wrong kind of Christians." Unbelievable honesty!

Literally nobody thinks or cares that they were orthodox. Victim mindset.
No one brought that up, lol. No one. Name someone who did? Don’t forget you’re one half of Catholicism now. 😉
