Here’s a snippet: 67% of the World starved, development was isolated and the five essentials to industrialize in a single geographic location was almost non-existent. You can thank the U.S. and their global partners for that. Now, it’s about to end because of Vlad and his merry band of savages.

With all due respect to both professors.I am a retired engineer and almost every time a problem that could not be solved reached my desk, I always found that I had better get My Facts Right and My Basics Right too.
Facts: Russia people and Putin know that NATO and/or Ukraine is not an existential threat. The facts, the basics talk to you even though I live thousands of miles away from Ukr & Russ. Russia or better still, certain “people” in the Russian White House think it would be great to have a bigger sphere of influence around themselves to feel more safe! That is their issue.
    Fine.
Problem is that people anywhere can see the Russian Attitude AND Attitude changes everything. Unfortunately, the way the way the Russia White House treats its own people, its own economy and its surrounding countries and especially those that disagree with it, is nothing that other countries and their people consider worth their while to be part off.
Russian neighbors know very well, the Russian state does not really care on what others think, want or do not want, that Standards of living and social support is much lower in Russia, the average Russian life expectancy of 71 years is nearly 5 years shorter than the overall average figure for the European Union, the mysterious deaths of so many, .....the list goes on.
So the majority understandably looked in another direction and gave Russia and Putin their back. And that includes Ukraine.
Russia needs to change attitude if it want surrounding Countries to support the notion that Russia should be liked and have a say or be consulted in European anything and Russian opinion to be willingly accepted.
And NOW it is pretty clear to all Europeans that that we are facing something on a different scale entirely; the largest European war since the days of Hitler and Stalin. This attitude (use of force) has ABSOLUTELY changed everything and achieved the exact opposite for these people in the Russia White House. I repeat. The opposite. Both Sweden and Finland could see Russia as an existential threat - not the other way around. The reason was that what Putin thinks was now driving his life and were wise enough to decided to join the Nato defence alliance to be on the safer side.

Nobody should accept demands of terrorists. Russia should mind own business and don't tell other countries what to do.

Thats not how geopolitics work. If noone tells anyone what to do, then: 1. we dont need any sort of international institutions cause that what they do. 2. We dont need global policemen or superpowers. 3. Every state by this logic should be completly isolationalist which is not the case in a globalist society. So to conclude, there are superpowers for a reason and we execute our power cause we earned that right. Its either you lead or you being led. You have plenty of examples in modern history how this two sides work.
