    Just ordered the Uruav adapter and speedybee module. I wasn’t actually aware of this option but it sure sounds great. I’ve got the dji fpv and a couple of vista equipped quads that I seldom fly and about a dozen analog quads I do fly often. This looks like a really good cheap solution and I’m psyched about flying everything on the v2 goggles. Nice. Thanks Rimzler.

    You're right! I have this exact set up with the metal case and V3 URUAV analog adapter. Works fantastic! Like you showed, on and off in 3 seconds with plugs. Solid as a rock because of the metal case. I only paid $29 for both metal case and analog adapter! Cheap! 😎🤘
    I bought the FuriousFPV Lite module ($40) and it's also fantastic! Gives awesome reception. Most don't realize it is the same as the more expensive modules, but without the lap timer, and trackball... That I've heard it's a little touchy to use. The 3 buttons on the Lite module are so easy to use to adjust everything.
    Bottom line: With this set up, you get crazy good analog reception!!! Because the DJI goggles have such amazing image clarity, I can honestly say this set up gives me the best analog image quality I've ever seen or used! Plus, with all of the adjustments in the DJI goggles, you can tweak it to your perfection! Because the DJI goggles have such an incredible field of view (FOV), I needed to adjust it down to about 80%. Still more FOV than any goggles I've ever tried, but not so overwhelmingly wide and vast. 100% is like flying FPV on a IMAX theater screen! A little too much for my senses to handle! Lol When a person has this incredible option of getting the best ever image quality FPV had ever seen, BY FAR! ... with the Digital image from the DJI goggles and Caddx Vista, especially with a 120fps camera ... then popping in this instant on analog adapter to give what I think is the best analog image I've ever seen, it makes one goggle that does it all! 😎🤘
    PS, Why anyone would buy a set of analog goggles for anything over $400 is beyond me! 🥴🤷👎

      I'm on you on this one, for racers, i understand, but for anyone else the screens in the DJI goggles are televisions ahaha they are amazing! It's the module that's doing the hard work anyway!

    Indeed, this the best solution in my opinion too! For me I also had to cut that slit of metal for the board to go into the case
    Just a comment for the digital antennas: you should experience better range when using the omnis on the top SMA connectors and the patch on the bottom, tested by RC Shim among others
    Cheers!

    • @KOrnhOliO1
      @KOrnhOliO1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed, I have the iFlight Crystal and RCSchim tested placement of antennas and found the omni's on the top work best, and patch on bottom. Switch and find out! But, yes, this URUAV adapter with metal case is a superb solution to only using one goggle to do it all! Having separate goggles for analog and digital is a waste of money! 💸💸💸💸
      And, for you analog racers and others who think they can feel the latency difference between 10ms and 20 or 25ms, that's you being able to feel 15 parts out of 1000 parts! Bro, it's all on your head! You know there's a difference, so your brain tells you that you can feel it! It's psychological! 🤷🤪 Think of it as a percentage ... 10 - 15ms difference out of 1000 parts total is a 1 to 1.5% change! No way! 😳🙄

    • @Rimzler
      @Rimzler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I watched the video from RCSchim, and ended up placing the patches on top to prioritize them, as i usually tilt my head mid flight and chase the drone, but i'm gonna watch again anyway so i'm sure hahahahaha, between 10 and 20 is placebo as you say, but eventually is all about confidence and i also understand why some people prefer truly analog goggles, for my casual whoop flying it's more than plenty enough ahahahah

    Considering maybe picking up these googles sometime soon. Ive just got into the RC hobby after ten years of watching videos on TH-cam. I can fly my planes fairly comfortably without crashing line of sight so now I'd like to make the step into fpv. It's just I don't know, digital seems tthe way of the future but analog is cheap and can be powered by low powered batteries. I saw online that even a 1s battery for have enough to power a analog camera / transmitter on a tiny whoop so definitely if do end up getting digital I would consider buying this adapter. The internal adapter seems nice and a clean way of doing it but I wouldn't want to void the warranty I fully trust myself to solder it but just too expensive to risk

    • @Rimzler
      @Rimzler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will have no problem flying FPV, couple weeks you'll be great at it! Digital is so much better imho, if you see better, you fly better! For the small mostly indoors drones analog is still a better solution cause of the weight, you can solve the voltage with a step up module!
      My advice is getting digital because you will use it for 99% of your drones, also for like a 75mm whoop if you use a naked vista doesn't fly bad indoors! This adapter i show in this video is convenient as you don't void warranty, only use when needed and leaves space to put patches in the front of the goggles!

    I’m terms of snapping off the aluminum I just used some wire cuttings and it came off clean, no filing necessary. Not too bad, but I’m also a tinkerer who works on cars and firearms, so that wasn’t too intimidating.

    Stupid question, but can I take off the two small knob antennas that you're showing at 0:50 mins ? I mean these Antennas are for a digital system right? So basically I can take em off and put em on the analog module? I see that you have some other antennas on the module while flying. What is that about? I'm confused :) .. sry I'm new to this. Cheers

    • @Rimzler
      @Rimzler  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Technically yes, if they have the same connector(sma / rp sma) but I wouldn't power the goggles without antennas on them as they both receive and transmit and could damage the board

    Thanks for the video!
    I bought the adapter a while ago and it seems they didn’t sell this nice metal case then. So, I had to make it from a plastic box :)
    I’m wondering why FOV in the AV-IN mode is so small. It would be nice to have it the same size as in the digital mode.

    • @KOrnhOliO1
      @KOrnhOliO1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's adjustable in the Goggles! 😎🤘
      All you have to do is buy the metal case and your previously purchased URUAV analog adapter will pop right in and work great! This metal part they talk about having to cut is already notched so you do really cut it, you just crimp where it's notched and that part pops right out. Since you may have purchased you adapter before the V3 came out with the voltage readout, you may not have to cut in the notch at all. You'll be happy with how "finished" of a product the metal case makes everything! Good luck! 👍😁

    • @Rimzler
      @Rimzler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best part about the metal case is the rail that comes with it! DJI needs to address the fov issue, it's a pain to have all that real estate and not being able to use it

    • @Rimzler
      @Rimzler  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's adjustable but the 100% setting still uses a portion and not all the screen, that's such a waste
