The DJI FPV goggles are great, but what about your analog quads? If you've still got analog video transmitters, you can use your DJI goggles as long as you have an analog mod that lets you use a Fat Shark module in it.
The British Drone Industries (BDI) Digidapter might be the best way to use your DJI FPV goggles with Fat Shark analog modules.

Just got my v2s and ordered my digi adapter and wildfire module. I’m excited
Actually, it's the DJI system itself that I'm waiting for the most! Ordered during the Father's day special, and waiting so patiently for it to ship out. RDQ told me today there's a 2 to 3 week delay in shipping them out, but that will pass by soon enough. I'm really excited to finally try it out. This looks like a great solution for keeping analog support; I especially like not having to mod it since it would only be used once in a while.

You're right they click in really tight. I thought at first that they didn't even click in because it was so tight. I'm very happy to have this unit working how it should.
It would've been absolutely cool if they integrated a head-tracker into it. That's the only reason I use Skyzone SKY03O goggles for planes.
Pretty sure the extra 3.5mm jack on the unit is for audio out, not AV in.

There is a pretty good option on Thingiverse. No voided warranty and can swap modules. I did the internal mod and added a switch to turn it off when flying digital.

When I first saw the I flight system I thought this is what it was gonna be like a simple plug in. Can't believe this wasn't thought of sooner.
Nice vid JB this is really nice. But the uruav analog board from RDQ comes with a 3d printed housing that secures the module quite nicely.

Feels kinda awkward without seeing/hearing the iconic JB intro soundtrack but the new one is fresh!!
only thing missing is a power switch, for when not using the analog module. otherwise, I find it brilliant. Was out doing a tiny Whoop race today with the DJI goggs and Digiadaptor. I really prefer flying this way over my HDO! I have the URUAV adaptor too but one of the barrel connectors broke off the board! junk

I installed mine last week and love it, so much cleaner and integrated into the goggles.
How is the latency? I am looking into buying my first goggles and am torn between digital or analogue, however having a setup like this mitigates the issue and i could have an acrobee35 and then a 5 drone with dji camera kit.

Luckily I ordered mine a few weeks ago before you made this video, mine is still being cleared by customs. Thing has been out of stock for a while now.
I bought this and tried it fitment is very nice but the use of analogue with dji is poor nothing like tou would expect. Muddy colours and stuck at 4:3 with reduced clarity. Put hdo back on difference is night and day. There is a massive caveat to this and no one seems to mention it always plugging product but not touching upon other aspects of products. On the surface all good. Until you use it then

The intro looks nice. I still liked the old nervous one better. Also Joshua has some kind of lump on his back in the outro. What mod is that? Is it injection molded too? It looks quite trim.
Price is fine since it is injection molded. However there are a few housings for the cheap UAV adapter, I have the makerboyz one and its nice.

This is what I use with a Foxeer Wildfire. Definitely get the upgraded cable management. Totally worth it to get your cables more in "trim". lol

Hs anyone given thought to bdi Digiadapter with iFlight Crystal HD Patch 5.8GHz RP-SMA Antenna for DJI - LHCP. They seem to want to occupy the same space but that's just a challenge for the "KnowitAll" and other creative FPV engineers.
The DJI goggles are such a cool looking piece of kit I don't think 3D printed solutions do them justice, this does however, like you said JB almost OEM. Nothing wrong with the other solutions but this appeals to me the most

I am in the same boat right now. I have dominator HD2, not HDOS. Looking at upgrading and its either sky04x or dji v2s with an analog receiver. What did you end up going with?
@@KernsJW I went with DJI v2s. I would have switched to HD eventually anyway, so I decided not "waste" hundreds on analog quads and goggles.

This is great! I’m getting this with TBS Fusion as soon as available. Video idea: compare DJI goggles with the TBS Fusion to the Skyzone 030 with and without Fusion module. Compare screens vs latency. If the AV jack increases latency, would it be the same for the external Skyzone 030 module adapter? I still have analog quads I love to fly and I’m not going to tear them apart to add DJI. I will save that for new builds.
Honestly I think the Digidapter faceplate looks fore refined as it doesn't have the 3D printing layer lines.

I finally got a adapter coming in the mail. Those cheap adaptors are a pain. The plug sockets are only soldered on so they will give you connection problems if your not careful
Finally got my digidapter with fusion setup. So when I switch to digital again after flying analog should we be unplugging the power to the to the digidapter so the fusion isn't blasting out signals or can we leave it on when flying digital?
Do you adjust brightness as you normally would through the DJI goggles? Wondering if all previous functions work. Would like to add rapidfire module.

I just put these on my goggles
But, I wired power, and AV, from the goggles like you do the Iflight, but I also installed a micro switch to power it because running power to both will kill my battery

Which switch did you use? i am wanting to do the same, but am also wanting a pretty solution :)
If you put a Rapidfire into the mode where neither antenna is used, it uses much less power. A switch is just one more thing to go wrong.

i can't wait to go digital, this analogue package is great to enable crossover to digital be a bit less expensive and i hate taking apart a quad that works well, whats the longest anybody has ever flown a quad with no changes bar props and motors? i think i got 18 months on one
Got mine early...they're sold out till mid july.
I have the uruav adapter with the 3d printed module case witch works good but it has a inherent design flaw with the fact that its secured to one side of your head witch means that when flying on the opposite side of your body your reception will be dramatically decreased unless you have really long antenna's. I'm definitely not trying to add anymore size or weight to my headset with 12in antennas.
I love this design but they should have at least added a on/off button or switch for the analog module especially for the $59 they are charging for this kit .
$59 is almost as much as I paid for my first set of goggles 🤣

Hi folks. I have tried this but I don't get the AV IN option in my goggles for some reason. Went in every menus but nope... I know the module is powered on. The AV cable is plugged into my "headphone" port in my Goggles V2. I dont have any other port for such cables... Am I doing things right ? Thanks a lot in advance

Really think it wouod have helped if you showed what it looks like with the rapid-fire module on. Seems like everyone has the fusion on them in videos.
The truth is that I installed the Fusion because I don't have a spare RapidFire to put in them. But you can see RapidFire in the company's product photos.

I really like how easy this was to install. Only issue i have now is not being able to select (in the goggles) channels. I seemed to be forced to channel 8. The menu system will not let me select anything in Audience mode either. Help would be appreciated.

Hey guy I did the URUAV mod with a Furious True D module in my V1 goggles and all I’m getting is a blue screen in the goggles, I made sure to switch av in inside the menu and I’m running g stock firmware, thanks for any help in advance!
I’ve finally gotten up the nerve to open my DJI googles and do the analog mod, I bought a custom faceplate that is super flush fitting...tired of external wires and such. Assuming you are using the DJI vtr and the radio is sending crossfire xtr for control, what does crossfire on the goggles bring to the party?

I bought this whole setup. Got the goggles and the tbs fusion so far. Just waiting on the faceplate and 128gb SD card which is held up by USPS that sucks right now (due to all this political crap going on). I'm hoping its easy to set all this stuff up. I'll continue to watch videos until it all arrives.
ok i watched this video like 5 times. i have never flew anything but digital but now i am interested in it because im tired of the 200 extra every time i want a quad not to mention the weigt.. im just not sure how it works so if i want a analog drone and i buy this what else do i need to get for it to work or am i just better off getting decent analog goggle?

Has anyone else had a grainy snowy picture with theirs? Just got mine and the image is horrible grainy with rapid fire. Tried multiple quads and all the same. On the right channel and av is plugged in tight
I've got them and am very pleased with it. BUT everytime I open the menu on my rapid fire the av in restarts, I see the dji screen and then it's ok. That's very annoying sadly. But when the channel is already set it works like a charm.
The same thing happens to me with the URUAV adapter + TRUE-D 4.0 module 🤷♂️
This is what I have found also, very annoying and doesn't happen when using my clearview. No one has mentioned it though and its kinda a deal breaker for me.
How about a 3d printed case for the fatshark adapter? Could rapidfire be an option?

Wish my experience was as good as yours. I’m using a Crossfire module and the red cover doesn’t fit at all. Then I remembered that my crossfire came with two covers and maybe I was using the wrong one? Unfortunately, I’ve either lost or thrown it out accidentally and I wound up taking a die grinder to the red cover so it would fit over the edge of the digidapter. Then once you add two antennas the extra weight let’s the whole thing fall out. For that problem, I stacked two strips of 3M VHB to the back of the crossfire to keep everything in place. Can you check the two different crossfire covers and see if one fits better?
The cover that comes on the rapid fire it's the one that should fit this because it is designed for the dominator/Hd/HDO's module bay, the other cover that comes with the rapid fire is designed to fit the fatshark attitude's, I've tried the attitudes cover for the uruav detachable case and it didn't even come close to fitting so I doubt it will fit this any better. Hope this helps!

If fitting this, will it make your dji goggles analogue only, or can you use both, without taking it off. I mean fly both a HD quad, after flight, press a switch and use the analogue on a tiny whoop or other analogue quad.

How good is it
Pretty basic question, prompted my confusion. Why do the goggles need to crossfire (if you're a fan), it seems the Xmitter needs to be talking to crossfire, but why the video/goggles. Cheers, Happy Thanksgiving!
The Fusion module uses Wifi to interact with the Crossfire module and the Unify video transmitter. For example, when you change channel on the video transmitter, the goggle can automatically follow, or vice versa.
