@Joshua Bardwell, how do you think any of these stack up against the stock fatshark attitude v5 module? Are the cheap ones any better? I would try FOXEER, but they dont work with the v5’s😭
unless you are always flying in locations where mutli-pathing is a problem I would say I don't see $100 difference between the URUAV and the "better" more expensive modules. That being said I use the Eachine pro58 with Achilles and it has been rock solid, been 3 miles out no issues. I don't fly in multi-path environments. All that being said the user interface looks like it sucks.
I'm using eachine $24 module with free pirx firmware. I don't really see why i'd need a better one. If you look for tests around, pro58 is slightly worse than rapidfire (i don't think it's worth the upgrade, and actually in some tests rapidfire loses signal before pro58, they are using same receiver modules btw) and pro58 is absolutely better than fusion and wildfire. I'd say you only need rapidfire if you are doing competitive racing on long complicated indoors tracks. Rapidfire technology wouldn't give you more range or penetration, it only slightly improves the multipathing interference. If you just need an analog module for your dji or ground station, don't spend more than $25.
Ive been using the Akk module since I started.. it works...but when it comes to range its no bueno. Think imma go with Rapidfire now that I want to do more long range.
I don't do racing, just freestyle and cinematic flying. Do you think I should get the skyzone04x or just go into DJI Goggles already? I have two tinywhoops that I still fly analog with tho so will probably get a analog module if I get DJI. Or wait for V2? Thoughts?
If you have the money, especially if you don't race, then I think DJI is likely to make you insanely happy. You can get an analog module if you still fly some micros and they work ok, with a tiny bit of additional latency compared to analog, but manageable.
Hey one question, Just got the toothless nano, hooked it up to my fc and now I only get the Foxeer osd („Foxeer, voltage, timer) but not the betaflight osd from my fc. So how do I turn off the Foxeer osd and enable the bf osd? I believe wiring is correct... I am using the mamba mk3 stack;) Thx so much!
Eachine Pro58 w/Achilles is freakin' amazing. I used it for a year before I bought RapidFire, and where I fly I can't tell a difference, though I'm not a parking garage guy. I also prefer the OLED interface of the Achilles firmware over the RapidFire menus. Just wish the Pro58 had the 4-way joystick rather than that stupid wheel thing.
I do think the AKK is basic on a old open source project, that included the firmware. It’s the Great grandfather of all modules. I’ve see projects where you can solder on a USB and do your own updates.
All their RF module (the thing with a tin roof housing) comes out the same RF factory source because 5+ GigaHertz is where the dielectric material matters and digital circuit factory don't do those things. The reason AKK is bad is most likely because it sources the leftover grade B output of the RF factory.
Too bad you didn't test the Furious FPV Lite...I got one for $39.99 ! When I contacted Tech support they said it's exactly the same as the 4.0, but without the fancy lap timer and in goggles display. I actually like the simple 3 button interface better than the 4.0's trackball! I found it's damn good and when I compared it to other reviewers test flights, similar to yours, against Rapidfire and the others you tested, it performed about 95% as good as Rapidfire, but without the big price. Could it fly in exactly the same places as Rapidfire, YES! Was there a tiny bit more fuzz to the image, YES. Did it effect the ability to fly at all, NO. Was the Rapidfire better, Yes. But it's also about 4 times the price! And, it had barely any more breakup. Don't believe me, Go check out Gal Kremer's and CurryKitten's tests. One's in a parking garage just like this test, and you'll be very surprised what $40 whole dollars gets you. (make sure you upgrade the Lite to the latest firmware).... :)
I really wish I could get a video of you comparing RapidFire to SkyZone 03O and new 04something models. i would really appreciate demonstration andresults of Wildfire and Rapidfire vs 03O - so I can figure out if and how much my image would improve with added module vs. built-in diversity.. I do have a directional+pagoda on my 03Os, I doubt anyone stays on factory setup of antennas. FWIW, I think there is more SkyZone 03O owners that are interested would their quality improve with an addon module, such as me :) I just wonder should I spend the money onto something like rapidfire where I could get a nazgul5 for that money... and also, where does wildfire sit there for a more budgetary option.

how come u not took the Fatshark hd sysem in there? lol.
Hi this uruav rx is compatible with ev200? Thanks
Hey one question,
Just got the toothless nano, hooked it up to my fc and now I only get the Foxeer osd („Foxeer, voltage, timer) but not the betaflight osd from my fc.
So how do I turn off the Foxeer osd and enable the bf osd?
I believe wiring is correct... I am using the mamba mk3 stack;)
Thx so much!
achile firmware and akk need to test
Eachine Pro58 w/Achilles is freakin' amazing. I used it for a year before I bought RapidFire, and where I fly I can't tell a difference, though I'm not a parking garage guy. I also prefer the OLED interface of the Achilles firmware over the RapidFire menus. Just wish the Pro58 had the 4-way joystick rather than that stupid wheel thing.
I would be interested in how the skyzone goggles perform in a similar location. Have you done a test of the sky02x or similar and i just missed it?
My review of the Sky03O is linked in the video description
I made a ride from NYC to Knoxville on a greyhound bus and I was living and working in Pigeon Forge in 2007, not so far from you bro :)
How about a module to HDMI adapter?
Do you use diopter for your dji goggles? Or do you just wear your glasses?
I do think the AKK is basic on a old open source project, that included the firmware. It’s the Great grandfather of all modules. I’ve see projects where you can solder on a USB and do your own updates.
Awesome intro Joshua! Hilarious.
just got my akk for conversion of a emax transporter to external modele hupe it better then the internal one
Josh you should repeat this test outside in an open field without any wall obstructions.
Is it possible to do FPV with the Mavik mini-2 ?
How did I not now we live in the same town?!
Cool I'm from Selmer 👍
Eachine Pro58 FTW
I swiped right so fast I dropped my phone
I did that in my review of the Sky03O which is linked in the video description.
@@JoshuaBardwell I missed that somehow, thank you!
