    Once thing I failed to mention is that the 60fps analog DVR on the DJI goggles doesn't lose sync with GoPro footage like Fatshark DVR does. It's spot on from start to finish!!!
    Check out the Digidapter: britishdroneindustries.co.uk
    Also on Airblade UAV: www.airbladeuav.com/products/digidapter-plug-play-analog-adapter-for-dji-hd-fpv-system?_pos=1&_sid=c42e86b1a&_ss=r

    Hey Ed, thanks for reviewing. Please DJI, put out the FPV Googles version 2 with a built in Analog diversity receiver (I'm not a fan of external cables required with 3rd party options). Oh, and add independent focus for each eye for us users with eyeglass prescriptions. In the meantime, I may have to modify my googles with this 3rd party option as Ed has.

    Very informative! Glad to hear about the low latency. I just got into FPV and have a Tinyhawk 2. I want to eventually get into larger drones with the DJI HD system, but I am having so much fun flying this micro that it would be sad to stop. I was afraid that if I wanted better goggles, then I was going to have to buy Fatsharks eventually AND the DJI goggles for HD, but I'm glad to see how well this adapter works! Now I know to just save for the DJI goggles, this adapter, and a crossfire receiver. Thank you very much!

    I got a furious smart power case and attached it to the strap behind my head. Make the goggles feel much better as it balances the weight. Still waiting on the digiapter to ship so I can't really tell how battery life will be affected.

    Can you recommend an adapter that can be attached at the side of the goggles? I have v2 goggles with the iflight antenna to the front. I don't wanna take it off. I'm not that familiar with these analog modules. I'd rather use an old box goggles instead of taking off the iflight antenna thing at the front. Cheers and thx for this video

    Looks really good . I just have 2 questions though. Number 1 in terms of latency, Does this have the same latency when using the analog module on fatsharks hdo2s? And can you fly it with other analog pilots?...or would dji still stomp the signal of other analog pilots?

    • @EdRickerVlogs
      @EdRickerVlogs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes same latency in effect. I'm not sure if it's the same on paper, but no difference in feeling for me. And the DJI goggles don't transmit anything when a digital quad isn't plugged in, so no one will experience digital interference if only the goggles are powered on.

    The problem with these seems you have to navigate through the menus to select AV input, you can't selected it via the channel buttons on the side of the goggles as far as I know. Which makes switching video feeds in flight... harrowing or impossible. Plus there is the latency and DJI screensaver screens that blank out during switches. O
    d want to use this to switch between the digital camera and another analog camera at lower tilt angle for landing.

      Analog video sends out whatever you have your video transmitter set up to send out. The Digidapter here and the added video receiver receives that signal, so it displays whatever's coming at it. It doesn't add or subtract any info.

    • @EdRickerVlogs

      It's using the AV In function, so there's no aspect ratio selection for that. The Digidapter just shows what it shows. I honestly have no idea if a 16x9 camera will appear 16x9 with the digidapter. I've always used 4x3 analog cameras.

      You have to change it to the DJI FPV system if you're not using the DJI FPV drone. Scroll down in the menu, I can't remember exactly what option, the basically you have to scroll further down than you think. The correct selection is at the very bottom of one of the settings menus, and you have to keep going down the menu so that the page scrolls up. It's at the very bottom.

    Can you do the opposite? See digital on analog goggles?

    • @EdRickerVlogs
      @EdRickerVlogs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you had a pair of FatShark goggles, you could use an HDMI cable to see the DJI digital feed in them...but to do that, you'd still need the DJI digital goggles in the first place, and a few pieces of gear to get the video HDMI out...so it'd be way overcomplicating the issue and much more expensive than just getting the DJI FPV goggles themselves.
      The only exception would be to use an entirely different digital system like HDZero/Byte Frost, which has it's own receiver module that fits onto Fatshark goggles. But that's a whole different ecosystem, and many consider HDZero to be subpar to DJI Digital.

      Haha well originally I plugged it in the bottom one but it wasn't working, and then I realized I just hadn't pushed it in far enough. I got video out from both ports eventually. But I was definitely hoping for audio, which apparently is not a feature right now.
