You said that the tax will be applicable only if the total taxable income is above 5 lakh, which is wrong i guess because i found on my tax statement there the taxable income is 2.9 lakh after deductions so i need to pay tax for the 5% of remaining 40000 after subatracting the 2.5L amount. Can you please clarify me ??

Bro, have a doubt. I'm a central gvt employee, giving income tax. Now I have taken a home loan on the land owned by my parents who are my dependents only. Can I claim rebate in HRA. The concerned section officer of my office has verbally denied it, telling that I don't have ownership. But many people tell me that it's possible. Even they dont know how to prove it.. pls help me out.

India has to implement 40% and 45% income tax slabs like Europian countries. Billionaires has to pay more tax. Also, the non salary earning people are not paying proper tax, that they are suppose to pay.
