Mrs Big The food is undeniably fantastic in South Africa, as are the landscapes and scenic views. Unfortunately, the high levels of economic inequality and class disparity within the country itself limit this sort of lifestyle to those who can afford it- namely, the middle-to-upper classes. The crime rate is nothing to scoff at either. I know I wouldn’t feel nearly as safe walking around my neighbourhood in Cape Town at night, alone as a young woman after dinner, as I did while vacationing in Tuscany or Florence.
I just love how Italians treat their food, it's just beautiful and I think we all need to look at food this way lol. It's just beautiful.

Self sustainable farms as opposed to commercial big food business is the answer. Not everybody has a farm but those who have , are blessed

Beautiful story! Granddaughter studied in Milano as extension from UC Berkley, US, and she came home with a wonderful declaration: "You can have the rest of the world, but just give me Italy!" Being Italian, Piemontese/Genovese watching the pasta making, bread, cold meats, wine and the beautiful farm you made my day.........

I spent part of my honeymoon here 18 yrs ago. I still dream of it every day. San Gimignano AKA "the Manhattan of Italy", is an amazing town. Once the tourist buses leave, the town settles down and you are welcomed by the townspeople as "family". My wife and I still reminisce over our meal at "Le Mystique". We spent the night at a hotel overlooking Piazza Cistern. What a magical place. Thanks for this video.

I have lived in Italy half my life and never thought I would say this: I miss Italy. The food is SO good, culture is rich and people are warm. Hearing them speak italian has brought back tons of memories and tears to my eyes. Italy will ever be a part of me.

Sarah, I was surfing TH-cam looking for Italian working farms and came across this video. As soon as I saw the cow´s I knew it was Fattoria Poggio Alloro!! I visited your family farm 4 years ago. I was part of a tour group with Walkabout Florence. Absolutely the best tour company in Florence!! We had an AMAZING afternoon touring the cow barn, the vineyards and of course, had an incredible, satisfying lunch. Just before leaving, we went to the gift shop where I purchased among several items, a white Fattoria Poggio Alloro apron with green lettering. I am an avid cook. This apron hangs in my kitchen and has been used almost every day since getting back from my unforgettable Florence-Tuscany vacation. It´s a reminder of beautiful moments spent at your family farm. You and your beautiful family are truly blessed to be living such an incredible life!! God bless and thank you for such a beautiful video. It has brought happy tears to my eyes. Sarah, it is beautiful to know that as young as you and your cousins are, you all are continuing the traditions your fathers started! My family and I had the privilege last year of visiting a working farm in Tuscany. Oh my! Fattoria San Micheli a Torri to us was espectacular but I can now say, after watching your beautiful video, that on my next trip to Firenze I will make it a point to look up your region. I now grow most of my vegetables and have chickens which provide incredible eggs! I feel that I brought back new tastes and a desire to eat healthy. May God continue to bless you and your family.

What a life! Everything natural. Nothing with chemicals! A healthy lifestyle. In America, we have food that have ingredients that I could not read or know what they are. Americans are down with all kind of diseases and sickness at young age. So sad.
Information, education are changing lives around. A lot of people live Heathy lives, eat better.
I will never forget my visit to the farm. It is forever imbedded in my memory. The food, the wine, and the vistas were perfection.

Had the pleasure of stopping by this wonderful farm for a lunch a few years ago. One of the most memorable meals of my life! So happy I can order their incredible olive oil and wine and have it shipped to me in the U.S. One day I will return and stay!

This video reminds me of my friend's grandmother's cooking and making Gravy (aka Tomato sauce) and pasta with Veal Cutlets and Mozzarella cheese. I loved going to his house for the Christmas Holidays it was an Italian Feast in Greenpoint Brooklyn New York and parts of Williamsburg Brooklyn. They treated me like family even though I am Black.
Good food and Great people who I really miss dearly. I wanted to go to The Feast of San Gernerio in Little Italy in New York City this month but here in Puerto Rico we are still recovering from Hurricane Maria. One of my Italian friends owned a Pizzeria on Bushwick Avenue in Williamsburg Brooklyn. They were GOLD AND PRECIOUS to me.
WOW! It's been over 30 years since I last saw them.

My husband and I visited a few years ago while taking a tour of Tuscany. It was an amazing experience...the food, the wine, the hospitality made our trip memorable. Everyone was so welcoming and I hope we will be back one day to spend more time st the farm. I was part of a Tuscany's trip with my husband and best friend's couple! We had an AMAZING afternoon visiting ourselves (not in a tour) the cow barn, the vineyards and of course had meet you uncle,so welcoming and nice person.Had an incredible, satisfying early dinner.He came to the table to say good bye. Just before leaving, we went to the gift shop where I purchased among several items, an olive oil's can Fattoria Poggio Alloro. This sits in my counter kitchen since then, it is almost empty but it has been bringing me back to my unforgettable Florence-Tuscany vacation. It´s a reminder of beautiful moments spent at your family farm. You and your beautiful family are truly blessed to be living such an incredible life!!
