    Am struggling with turning my shoulder and left hip for 20 years but your instructions on left shoulder turning up and out have transformed my swing. My brain now can connect and make sense of the backswing, downswing and finishing with shoulder up and out. Excellent works.. Probably the best on instructions on full golf swing.

    Excellent explanation and demonstration Giles on the "left shoulder" movement in the golf swing! I have been working on this very same thing and although it's still a "work in progress" I feel very comfortable with its outcome. I really like your drill with the alignment stick to place emphasis of the "down, up and around" of the left shoulder in the downswing. Since finding your channel Giles, it's amazing how my game is transforming! Keep up the good work!!

    It's hard to believe, quite how much I've missed with regard to the bio-mechanics of the swing. Most Golf Teachers, who create TH-cam content, provide far too little detail of the actual mechanics involved. Another Brilliant lesson Giles.

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I see people top it for many reasons like weight hanging back, shoulder moving up straight away, no rotation causing the arms to bend and setup out of position. These are just a couple but if you move your body correctly you shouldn’t top it

    • @Gilesgillgolf
      @Gilesgillgolf  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @cornyboers7304
      @cornyboers7304 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like you are naybe getting to the ball too late so check your ball position or try moving it back a bit so it is inside the left heel.
      If the tee height is too low it can also cause the topping so have at least half of the ball above the clubhead at setup.
