Thank you so much. I struggle with a reverse pivot at the top of my back swing. This instruction was a great teaching me how to get back on track. Also thanks for sticking it out in the rain to complete the video.
Another excellent video Giles on how to fix Pulled Golf Shots! I really liked your folded noodle display which should help a golfer with their ball position! Since I swing the club in to out, your recommendation on body tilt, spine angle, rotation and pressure points was very helpful. Your use of the two alignment sticks to emphasize a proper hip turn was very helpful. Your Pete Cowen drill and suggestion of the right shoulder coming down and around should prove to be quite helpful as well. All in all Giles, all good information to digest! Well Done Lad!!!!
Ball placement and spinal alignment excellent excellent advice. After watching you I definitely see what causes my pull or pushed shots. Your and excellent teacher
The chopstick drill is a really good one! And, I like the alignment stick drill that teaches the depth feel. When I get the butt end of the club over the right heel on the backswing I feel like a get stuck back there a bit so my sequencing on the downswing gets out of sorts. I am now doing the chopstick drill and the depth alignment stick drill in unison with three sticks. You're a great teacher, my driving has improved 100% from watching your lessons!
I've been following you for months now and have seen nothing but good information. I've been teaching in my area for 30 years. And it's good to see instruction that's fundamentally sound.
The last tip was the most beneficial for me. I need to work on 'dropping' my arm down instead of across. This might stop my 9i and wedges from going right as a lefty.
Exactly what I needed today. I fixed my slice lol but now I am pulling it left. Ball position makes sense, I think I have the ball to forward and also not enough depth. Thanks again😊
Giles is there a reason I think it’s more comfortable playing the ball to forward in my stance? I feel like I address the ball and without thinking it’s to far up in my stance. I also feel like my club face is very closed at address but don’t think it’s a grip issue. I use a slightly strong grip. And my poor shots are a low hook
As long as it is I’m an acceptable zone & sounds like you need to get the clubface square first and then grip it. A strong grip will promote a closed face
Like any move in golf you can over do it and to be honest you can see every miss depending on how your body reacts. That’s why we use key checks in the analysis
Today on the course I pulled a bunch of shots. A friend said to me "Your upper body is rotatiing open too fast... keep it at the home position". Do you think this idea of maybe "covering the ball" and not trying to rotate the shoulders would stop pulls?
Hi everyone, Which tip was your favourite or most useful?
I like the split grip for correcting the swing path.
Making sure I have the right depth without just pulling arms across and getting disconnected from the body.
@@Nate710 such an important key
Since your very first videos, I've been using trail hip up & around swing thought & my iron striking has really improved. Thanks Giles
@@raybrewster6722 that’s amazing! Glad I could help!
Best golf swing video I’ve seen. Makes so much sense, very well explained and easy to understand. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
This is the best video on TH-cam for pull shots
Thank you Chris!

You're very welcome! Being from England you get used to the rain 😂 Thank you!
Excellent video - very good drills and swing thoughts . Thank you
Glad you liked them!

Thank you John! Glad you enjoyed the information & that it was easy for you to under stand 👍🏻
Thanks. This right shoulder takeover is my problem. No anymore thanks to this video , and drills to fix it. Thanks again.
Glad to help

Thank you! Hope those two keys get you fixed!

Sounds like you don’t have enough body rotation in the backswing then. Thank you!

Thank you! It’s great to hear positive feedback from another coach!
Great video. Lots of valuable explanation and instruction. I think I'm guilty of 3 our of 4 reasons for a PULL.
They’re super common reasons! Hope this helps you fix it
great content it was really entertaining
Glad you enjoyed it!
Like that chopstick drill. Going to try that outside with the net. Another thing that I like to do to stop pulls is to close my right shoulder a bit.
Great! That can definitely help!

Depth in my opinion is the key

Another great lesson Giles! Today I am going to take option #1 to the range. Feeling like my hands start down while my chest remains closed.
Great! Good luck!

Can you overturn your trail hip on the backswing ? If so, what misses would you see ? Thanks

Yes but I’m not saying don’t turn the shoulders. The shoulders will always turn, you just have to make sure it doesn’t happen too early
If only I was flexible enough to successfully complete the “chop sticks “ - I will call it my aspiration drill!
😂
