Eveyone who ever picks up a golf club needs to watch this video. I have struggled for years with the hip turn and this has totally changed everything! Best video on TH-cam.
Great to hear this one helped! Appreciate your support!
Finally an epiphany moment that actually produces success!!! This is so golden, fixed my inability to get my hips around… it all came down to trying to clear my hips at the same time and speed as hands. I was starting to get my hips turning was too late! All it took was slowing down arms and getting my left leg external early and rotating sooner. Making my swing more sequential instead of all go at the same time. now I’m compressing the ball consistently and hitting straighter… thanks you so much for this amazing lesson
So glad this one helped Kyle! Our pleasure!
one of the best, if not the best, videos on YT that explains speed, rotation and cures a lot of problems ike early extension, lag, swing plane etc. Trevor is just awesome!
Appreciate it!
This is THE BEST VIDEO ON TH-cam. I discovered this on my own, and this reinforces a lot of ideas I’ve been using but didn’t know exactly why it was working.
Hell yeah---thanks Eddie!
Appreciate all the clarifying questions you asked Trevor
:) Always try and put myself in the shoes of a student and what they would think/want to know
@@CogornoGolfgreat work on this! Takes a lot of wisdom and humility to just place yourself in the position of the student instead of trying to jump in and share your own knowledge
GAME CHANGER. Moving the femur first. Allows the hip to move early and without getting stuck. GAME CHANGER for me.
Game changer
Yessir!
Thx Eric, you’re the best at bringing top instruction from multiple sources like Trevor, Malaska…etc. It shows that you really want your subs and members to improve.
Appreciate that! 100%....want to make the best videos possible to help as many people as possible....lots of great coaches out there!
This tip is a game changer. More relaxed tension free swing. The femur move finally is the holy grail I have been looking for. Thank you both. Took it to the course yesterday. So easy.
Glad this one helped my friend!
Content in this video was ridiculously good! Way to go
Appreciate that, Carl!
I've watched a thousand golf instruction videos and this one is the best ever.
The two points about personal speed awareness and, especially, the femur movement are gold!
Appreciate it!! Always fun working with Trevor on these---good stuff from him!!
This might be the greatest golf lesson on TH-cam
Appreciate it :)
Just came back from the range after watching this. This was exactly what I needed reminding of, hit them better than I did in a long, long time. Especially the tension had crept back into my swing. Thanks!
Love to hear this! Our pleasure!
Not muscling my way through the swing has been my biggest issue...this video is a gem...trust the club, slow down, relax.
100%!
Thanks for another great and extremely helpful video. Well done! You guys have such a nice collaboration and symmetry teaching with each other. Would love more videos with both of you working together. Trevor - I love your concept of things needing to be tension free. Thanks again guys!
Thank you Andy!👊
Thank you for bringing Trevor on your channel! You do a great job of exposing us to other great coaches! This video was very helpful. Thank you!
Trevor is awesome! Glad you enjoyed the video, Nick!
Best golf video I’ve seen all year. Thank you.
Thank you! Hope it helps!
Two great teachers in a video , cant beat this content Eric. This was key for me to listen to, going to incorporate this in tomorrows round
Thanks George! Hope it helps!
That femur/knee movement is exactly what I’ve been looking for. OMG I absolutely needed this so thank you so much for this video.
I previously was trying to move my hip and no wonder I couldn’t understand how to clear the hips. That one little knee movement from 2-10 o’clock is literally game changing
Great to hear, Mike!! Appreciate you being here with us!
Dear Eric, Travor is great, one of the best Co-Teacher you ever had.
Thank you!
Trevor is awesome!! Thank you, Erich!
Love Trevor’s teaching style. Also digging the new Puma hat EC
Appreciate it Stevie! Trevor is awesome!
Thanks for the video. I think a lightbulb switched on. Onwards to the range!
Hope it serves you well, Michael!
This is one of the best explanations I’ve ever seen of this concept and the slowing down piece is so key to getting these moves ingrained. Thank you for this one!!
Our pleasure, Mike! Hope it helps your game!
Thanks, Eric! Been working on the different phases. I don’t believe you specifically state how to add the speed in the impact zone (phase 2) but I think I’ve figured it out. That speed increase feels like it comes from my lower body and catapulting back up with my left leg and hip continuing to open. Is that accurate or is the speed added through the hands or something else? Would love validation though.
If only I found this video a year ago when I first started golfing I would be a scratch golfer by now. I self taught this move and it’s so so powerful.
:)
Great video! Really enjoyed your and Trevor’s interactions. Thank you for introducing me to Trevor’s golf instruction.
He's awesome!! Thanks for watching!
I appreciate Eric cause even though he's a good golfer, the fact that he's curious about the golf swing and asks his guest for their technique is awesome
Thank you for the kind words!
The most impactful video I’ve seen online that had an immediate impact on my golf swing immediately! Thank you!!
Glad this one helped! Our pleasure!
I like the way he explains things, thanks for giving him exposure.
Our pleasure---good fun working with Trevor and bringing great coaches on!
Such a great video! Thank you Trevor and Eric🙏
👊Thank you Brian!
This is a great series Eric.
You continue to post the best instruction videos on YT
Looking for to your guy’s footwork video!
Thank you, Scott! Appreciate your support!
This is great, it help me find my feel I’ve had in the past. I makes your swing feel so effortless and not to mention no flipping and the sound of the compression 🤯this video is definitely saved for when my golf swing is in shambles!
Love to hear it Barry!!
The best step-by-step instruction for down swing sequence, especially the leading leg turning out from 12-1 o’clock to 11 o’clock. Will keep that in mind! Thanks
Hope this one serves you well!👊
Another great video Eric. A friend of mine ex Ryder Cup player Philip Walton, likes to see me firing my left knee at the target, which helps me turn nicely through the shot.
Love it Gordon! Appreciate you watching!
This is great. Tension is such a killer and it’s difficult to be mindful of that when on the course.
Thanks! Hope this one serves your game well!
Excellent instructional content Eric/Trevor, slowing the arms down definitely works, like being in the Matrix (for those who can remember!) 😀
Lol :)
I'm new to golf and have been struggling with my irons. I couldn't find a clear video on good iron technique/theory except for here, and top speed golf. This video makes everything about flushing irons so clear now, good content thanks.
Appreciate it man
This video has totally transformed my swing!! Thanks for all the amazing content!
Love to hear this!
Good stuff. Tension is such a swing killer.
100%
This video is everything for me right now! This just clicked for me. Thank you! Its gonna help bigtime.
Hope it serves you well!
This is the best explanation I have ever seen for hip rotation. I have always been stuck focusing on the hips themselves vs. the influence of the arms. Simple and practical solution. Thanks to both of you!
Glad this one helped, Gary! Our pleasure!
Eric, Very helpful. Thanks for your top quality videos. Carlos
👊Thank you for watching, Carlos!
My compliments to you both. This is absolutely what I needed. Was struggling with pull hooks and the harder I tried to speed up hips the worse it got. Pro trying to solve the problem asked I felt tension but did not describe how to fix the problem. He was sharp to pick it up. With deployment of this solution the problem was solved. I am very grateful to you both. Hope you both have great success. Based on videos like this I am sure you both have been and will be in future. Awesome! Best Regards.
Glad to hear you found some solutions and appreciate the kind words!
Thank you for the great lesson Eric & Trevor!
Our pleasure, Jimmy!
Makes so mucch sense. Excellent explanation and demo. Cant wait to hit the range with this.
Hope it helps your game!
@@CogornoGolf well it has helped but I have had this issue for so long it rears its ugly head on a regular basis. I get it down pat and I want that extra distance and disaster, the ADHD transition :( I use this video regularly.
This is so vitally important. If you want to get those hips in position by impact, they *have* to lead.
👊
Thanks for watching!
Incredibly useful and clear vid. I've "felt" the looseness and the sequencing this creates, but it comes and goes...never knew how to lock it down. Thanks!
Our pleasure! Hope this one serves your game well!
So helpful. Thank you again
Glad this one helped my friend!👊
This is a really great video! Like a mini golf crash course. Will save this for my son, he just started walking 😂
Thank you :) Love it....get em started young!!
Amazing video... For a beginner like me struggling to really rotate my hips, the femur / opening the left knee towards the target is A GOLDEN ADVICE...
👊Thank you!
this video is absolutely incredible. can watch it 10 times to grasp everything, excellent content
Thank you Matthew!
Awesome video explaination tips.. Can't wait to go to the range to try it out.
Thanks Lenard! Hope this one helps!
Excellent, excellent. You're best video by FAR!
Thank you Carl!!
Brilliant post. Keep these coming
Thank you!
Adding another "feel" to accomplish the same the goal is priceless. I like to feel my left hip going straight back and my right hip trying to turn under it. I've also used the "push" feel of my left foot. All of it is the same result. I love the slowing down. That's 2 fold. It helps to get you open but a secondary benefit is rhythm and timing. That can't be stressed enough.
👊👊
Appreciate you being here with us!
Tension comes from trying to keep your left arm straight. This teaching here is in my opinion the absolute cornerstone of a successful swing.
Agreed!
Appreciate it! Agreed
I tried this as the range today and made the best contact in years. It is so simple and easy! Thank you so much!
Love to hear this! Our pleasure!
I would love an on line tempo training session several days a week. This is so important.
100%! Hope this video serves you well, Rod!
First and foremost, thank you so much. Great video for all struggling with hip rotation. Thank you.
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Just in time for clarifying something in my swing progress. Thanks
Thank you, James!
This makes so much sense. Think about when a batter in the MLB is up at bat, and the pitcher takes forever to throw the ball. The batter will call timeout and clear out of the box. Why? B/c they have built up too much tension.
👊👊
Appreciate you watching, Jeff!
One of the best video I saw . Thank you.
Thank you, Mauro!
I think I needed this at this point in my swing, right now!
Hope this one helps, Eric!
Thanks....will try it and let you know how it's working for me....great instructing...Cheers!
Thank you! Hope practice goes great!
saw this video last night - took a golf club out, in the rain, and really focused on being as loose as possible throughout the swing. I felt my hips turning and firing for the first time. Started adding some gas on the downswing and I could hear by club whooshing faster without the same effort I had to put in a tension-filled shot before. Now to get to the range and try it for real!
literally just did the same thing lol!
Love it! Hope the range session goes great!
Now try it with a golf ball in front of you , most of us can make a great swing without the ball but it’s totally different when you have to hit the ball
@@moonface978 well this is obvious! Practice makes perfect :)
And ? What happened
Excellent video. I just started selling golf clubs for a reseller. Your videos are going to help me sell more clubs along with lowering my golf score.
Thanks Mark----hope so :)
Thank you! That was great!!!
Appreciate Darleen!
A possibly useful addition, is that if your arms are trying to generate speed too early, the your hips/pelvis turn from a mover to a stabilizer. That’s why I think “stalling” is a bad term because although they have stalled, it is because they are stabilizing instead of moving. If you are relatively tension free in the arms early, your hips and pelvis can be a mover instead of purely a stabilizer. Basically the hips stall out of self preservation!
Thanks for the video, Alan.
👊👊
Our pleasure, Alan!
Such a great lesson. Thank you!
Appreciate it!
Eric-Nice add on to other videos you've directed me to. As always appreciate your help. Stay safe-Russ
Thanks Russ! Trevor is great!!
Getting energy into the golf club. Nice 👍
👊Hope this one helps your game!
the section about the femur blew my mind wow canty wait to get down the range to try this
Hope it serves you well, Tom!
Wow! I, genuinely, NEVER leave comments, but I just had to with this one! Thanks so, so much for this!! Im going to put it in to every pre round warm up for sure because it is so super good to release all that tension! I went to the range this morning and started trying to hit it as slowly and loosely as possible and the improvement in impact and distance straight away was incredible! Love, love, love how it helped me to rotate so well! I actually (as my arms were moving so slowly) could feel my left foot and knee starting to open almost instantly! As soon as i started my takeaway i started to let my foot twist a little and it made impact so much easier and crisper. I also found i had "time" to focus as well on the skipping the rock type move with my right arm on the through swing... and because my left hip had moved out the way so early, i felt like i had so much room to skip the rock / get to impact. Such a great feeling!!! Cant wait to try it with my driver too as i 100% know i have been putting way too much tension in to that swing... trying to hit it like Bryson of course 😂 thanks again guys!!! Game changer!!!
Love it!! So glad this one has helped!
Phenomenal drills for those who struggle to get weight on frontside due to rushing the arms. Also kept me from standing up. Thanks Eric!!
Agreed Ryan---thanks! Something I need to watch as well
Hit a 340yd drive at (what felt like) half speed with this concept! Love what you guys are doing to help us hacks!!!
Love to hear this, Eric!!
I hope that wasn't on a par-3...🤣
This is awesome thanks for sharing!!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed this one!
Just a minute in; I saw a video of a pro giving an analogy of looking at your phone to read your text at impact with the right hand. It has changed my game immensely. I’m assuming that this swing aid is designed to do the same thing.
At impact the right wrist (if your phone was in it) should be facing down at the ball....
More info on right wrist specifics here:

Thank you for this lesson, I’ve really been struggling with this sequencing. I use to be a fairly low handicap but after being away from the game for seven years and now being 62 my muscle memory for this has diminished. 😂😂😂
I do remember thinking my right knee would start that lower body move … point the right knee towards the target.
By the way, who is this guy that joined you for this? Does he have a channel? I really like his style.
Thinking 🤔 about how the knee works really seems to be a good thought for me really enjoyed this one.
Hope it helps ya JW....more on that specific topic here

th-cam.com/video/LfoEu9MN8QY/w-d-xo.html
There’s a lot of information in this video. We have to realize that the thought is quicker than the feeling. You can think about on aspect of the swing while feeling for another aspect of the swing.
Excellent video. For me, I work on clearing my front hip out of the way through pressure in my feet. From the top of the backswing, I push my front foot towards 11 on the clock dial (assume 12 is straight forward when at address). As I get deeper into the downswing, the pressure of my front foot moves more to what would be 9:30. As this is happening, the pressure in my front foot is moving my front knee forward opening my front hip (externally rotating my front hip) and straightening my front leg. This seems to clear room for my rear knee to kick forward and my rear hip to come around. This, in turn, creates a ton of room for my arms to come into and through the hitting area at a high rate of speed. When I do this I don't feel any tension and I don't feel like my arms are met with any resistance (good bye chicken wing). (An additional layer, for another day, is the way the pressure of my rear foot works in conjunction with the pressure of my front foot). Just asking for some advice, do you agree this is a valid way to go in order to get to the tension free high speed swing you are discussing? Thanks for any comments.
Totally....more here that may help

This is what Paul Wilson teaches. Tension comes from trying to hit with the arms. My best shots mostly feel like my arms aren't doing anything.
👊
Hope this one serves you well!
Amazing video. Can I ask what brand was the extended alignment stick that you used in the belt loops?
This is gold for free guys, thanks a lot!
Thank you for watching!👊
I wish I would have started playing after this video. I have been counterintuitively trying to swing to hard. Slow and rhythmic is the key.
Hope this one serves you well!
I like it! Beginner and I am watching a lot of videos!
Hope these help!
Excellent lesson,thank you very much
Thanks! Our pleasure!
Excellent, Excellent, Excellent explanation. I feel this will transform my game. I actually stopped at the 12 minute mark just to comment. I can't wait to work this in to my practice and game.
Hope it serves you well, Derek!
Fantastic video! Thanks.
Thank you David!
Hey Trevor - just for a little more clarity - when hitting these shots 100 yards and then progressively farther, what club are you guys hitting?
8 iron is a good place to start
This is gold! 🎉
Thanks Joe!
Super instruction, will try this and let hips follow femur.I do need to slow swing down to get this
Thank you, Robert! Hope it helps!
This is key af. This is how I learned
Love, this, headed to the range to give it a try. You made mention of a second video about what do to with the feet, can you post that one?
Hope it helps, Tom! That one may be a future video we will make and upload! :)
My biggest concern regarding rotation is hitting dead pulls.
My instinct is to have my hips and body mostly, if not completely, square to the target line at impact. So, the concept of rotating the hips ahead of my shoulders at impact is taking a lot of re-learning the swing sequence.
totally understand
you need to make sure you SHALLOW the ARMS AND CLUB to keep them working from inside while you rotate
Rotation DOES make you swing more over the top (pulls) so you need to shallow the arms and club to off set that.
We talk about those particular feels to shallow arms and club here: th-cam.com/video/WPdDq0lGPHw/w-d-xo.html
You can also add a simple stick over the ball station to make sure path from inside like this:
th-cam.com/video/ybEg1AmnuBY/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUeRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIEdvbGYgZml4IG15IHB1bGxz
Great video on both temp and rotation. I try to think of keeping the speed slow until ready to release, the only part of the swing that's fast is release and follow through. Also like the videos of Fleetwood. I've heard his key is move the left hip back. Those two keys can make for a very good round.
👊
Thank you! Hope this one helps your game!
Holy fuck, this plus the most recent Hips video with JT just unlocked something in my brain
Love to hear it!!
this is great. subscribed
Thanks! Great to have you here with us!
This is great, thanks a lot!!
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
Excellent instruction.
Thank you!
Great video my dudes. Thank you. I like that part about “awareness in space of individual body parts” getting deep but makes sense.
I completely lose awareness (it’s like I ‘drunken blackout’ on my downswing at some point) I have no awareness of the speed of my body parts. Then my arms and hands get fast and I stop front hip rotation then my hips push a little forward and hands move forward and I hit a dreaded heal shot with a slice! F ME! This video will help
100%----me too
Lol. Thanks for the laugh. You just described perfectly what I've been struggling with on iron shots. Hitting range tomorrow...hopefully I can kill the weak healed slice with this drill. Hope it helps you as well.
