You could always use thread. It hides itself if you just pick up a few strands at a time on the back side of the object and the base.

Great pattern! Do you think you could give us a heads up on the next colors of Red Heart we will need? Sometimes my Wal Mart and Joannes have a small variety! I had to send for the colors for the jellyfish! Thanks. Just a suggestion!
