I'm a U.S. expat now living in Costa Rica. I recently had a full mouth restoration, All-On-4, titanium implants upper and lower in Costa Rica. Total including X-Rays, Scan and IV etc., $15,000.00. I wore temp teeth for 5 months, and recently had porcelain permanent upper and lower teeth installed. I could not be happier with the result......and pricing!
Please update me as to how you still feel about your dentures. I am going to Los Algodones, MX for upper and lower All on 4 dentures. Any advice? Are you happy with the porcelain or if done over would you go with the zirconia? I really appreciate your advice.
I always find your videos informative and I’m very appreciative of the public education services you are providing. Especially for those of us currently at a corssroads. Your experience and case history sharing is extremely valuable information. I thank you sincerely. 🙏🏼♥️
Experience has led me to the conclusion that root canals are a huge culprit in periodontal disease. In my particular case the deepest pockets are nearly always found at the site of past root canals. I'm 69. Periodontal pockets greater than 4 are usually not seen except where I have previously had root canals.
Wow what a comprehensive video presentations. What a remarkable and highly skilled dentist you are. Yes, crowns are expensive, but they are the best. Thank you for sharing 😀
Thank you I am going to Los Algodones, MX to the Rubio Dental Clinic to have upper and lower "4 on 1 Dentures" and because of you taking so much time to make these videos I am so much more informed to communicate with my Dr.
Hi Dr. Choi. Great video with good, honest information. I went to a dentist, as a second opinion, and he said he wouldn't advise me getting implants for my front and front/side teeth because it's likely they wouldn't take since I have a good amount of bone loss around them. I asked about bone grafts and he said that even with bone grafts, the body only "absorbs"(my word) about 30-40% of bone, and rejects the rest. He suggested a permanent bridge. I'm not really sold on bridges, so I don't know what to do next. I have heard about complications with implants on front teeth, so i dont know... I'm thinking of getting a third opinion. I wish you were in or near NY, as I would love your opinion.
Thank you for this video. Very informative, as usual. One question, though, if I may. Why did you perform all those individual, cumulatively expensive procedures for all of your father's teeth instead of treating him with an all-on-4? Thank you!
When it's time for me to need them.........God forbid........I'm going to Thailand. Don't laugh, they have outstanding dentists in Chiang Mai and the price is more like $12k-$15k. Stay for a month with airfare for $2700 or so and enjoy nice soft Thai food. Just tell the cook "Ped nit noi".....or the hot spice might not be fun. It's a no brainer.
If you have problems when you get home you can afford to go back! Just because it's less expensive doesn't mean foreign dentist don't know what they're doing. This country is way overpriced when it comes to dental care and health care. Dental Care is a necessity for your well-being and health. That being said everyone should have access to good quality care at reasonable prices.
Except it takes 4-6 months to heal after the implants are installed ,b4 they can Finnish the all on 4 ,so stay for 6 months or come back 6 months later
@@lisakropp3881 in theory that works but in reality it doesn’t. If you wake up and are swollen or have pain the last thing your going to want to do is get on an airplane. You are right it is expensive here but what you can get is second to none and you are safe. Your life is worth more. Just my thoughts. I had a problem when I was traveling in the same state and no other dentist would see me. Not many people are versed in todays technology. I fixed it myself by going to Walmart and buying a .05 hex key and fixed it on my own.
That is what we did. Chiang Mai is great place for holiday plus the level of dental care was (shockingly) better than in US. Price wasn’t super cheap but in comparison with US it was significantly lower. We are very happy with the quality and care we received. But we love to travel and also we did not have any health problems.
I am 2 weeks post tooth removal and just received my temporary dentures. I was shocked to watch your video because the quote I have received between my dentist and my oral surgeon is equal to $60k. I want the hybrid and they have to create 16mm of space in my mouth to do it, but Am I getting screwed here? I used to live in Flower Mound, so I would have no problem traveling there for treatment-plenty of friends to stay with.
Thank you for posting these videos with such good information. I had all my top teeth extracted mid-October and am currently waiting to heal in order to get the four implants on top for the Snap In Denture. I have had to go back into the office twice now for bone spurs that needed removing after extraction. As I continue to do online research, I am getting nervous that the implants will not be placed properly, and problems will continue over time. I was charged over $13,000 for just the top Snap In and still have the bottom teeth to fix at a later date as I have less than a dozen teeth remaining on the bottom. Is it too late to get a second opinion or reevaluate my options?
Dentist here in Dayton OH are recommending four crowns in my back teeth and several fillings in the back teeth also. All other teeth are fine. Because I have a fear of the drill noise due to previous dental work gone wrong I really am wondering what other options I might have. Interested in not being awake for dental work with drill but its not an option here. Wondering what other options might help.
You could ask your dentist if you could listen to music using some powerful earphones, perhaps, noise cancelling ones. That's not going to block all the noise of course but it'll definitely won't be that audible.
My question is when you are 65 yrs old and desperately need dental work , what do you do? How are you supposed to pay for it? 80,000 to 100,000 is ridiculous! What if you are on limited budget?
You just get dentures then. Or, you could go somewhere else, to some other country, where dentistry is not that expensive. For example in the former USSR there are some very skilled dental surgeons and they charge about $1000 for an implant which includes the crown. For 28 grand you can have all your teeth replaced if you wanted to, but probably you'd only need 12, so it's like 20 grand for full mouth rehab (you still need more crowns than implants).
I am 66 yea$21,000 for All on 4 and about $29,000 for All on 6. There are many locations around the world you can go to. Just really do your homework and do not sign up with Dental Departures company..they are a ripoff. Directly communicate with the Dr.'s office.
You need to have them pulled. That’s what I did in February. Get dentures instead. I don’t have any teeth and not sure when. I will have my dentures. I wear face masks when I go places. Eating fine without teeth. Do I like it no. But my only option is try to figure out way to manage my situation. That is what you need to do too.
I just started the procedure for mine surgery and implants 4 on top 4 on bottom snap in denture I paid 28k for the surgery and it's gonna cost me an additional 10-14k for the final appliance.
@@jolenejones6243 Very good. Not as bad as I thought. It’s been one week now. Sore but not painful. I can drink ice cold water and swish it around in my mouth. Might seem small to most. Kind of funny how your natural teeth can individually feel temperature and pressure but the arch can not. Got to watch very hot things that for sure. Kinda like barefoot vs HD boots. Thanks for asking and good luck to you
yes and half a Bentley or a swimming pool or a year of college or.. point from the video is you dont have to spend that much money to get your teeth fixed
No you don’t need to spend that much. You can find low income dental clinic have the teeth pulled. I did that part my dentures will be happening sometime in next year or so. You get full set online for about $500 from Easy Dentures. Surgery for implants costs lots of money. You can replace your teeth without surgery.
Once again a whole video and implants and prices that other dentist could possibly charge, but not your price for all on 4! I know each patient is different, but give an approximate price or a price range.
Why couldn’t you just give that woman an all on for because she already had four implants on the top and at least 6 AM plans on the bottom.? So why couldn’t you just make a alarm for denture I just connected to the existing implants that she has?
To get somebody fixed up but you need to do is teach them about proper nutrition you know one thing and most any dental study is if somebody actually gets proper vitamin K and vitamin D, it solves like 90% of teeth problems but the dentist tell you that no of course not it’s all about money go ask a dental student who is bent over with his neck got that fall off if he’s doing it for the fun of it. No, he’s doing it for money.
