Isn't it Deliberately to make people not feeling like it's NECESSARY TO TREAT YOUR DENTAL HEALTH uncovered by Insurance AS OTHER HEALTH covered by insurance (such as surgery for other parts of the body)? This means that most people would be mislead by Medicare and Medicaid and other insurance companies that whatever is not covered as THEY FALSELY STATE "COSMETIC" while it's MEDICAL NECESSITY to be able to EAT & be Infection Free in Bones and Gums and Blood... What do Dental Doctors think about making INSURANCE COVERAGE MANDATORY NOT JUST FOR ORAL EXTRACTION SURGERY BUT ANY PERIODONTICS, ORTHODONTICS, IMPLANTS AND DENTISTRY without CAPS for all procedures to allow any patient including on Medicaid or Medicare to retain healthy bone, gums, teeth? And perhaps make most luxurious treatments only available for ultra rich. For example, why $300k Heart Surgery for Medicaid or Medicare patients or Neurology Surgery is covered for someone age 95 when they are not likely to survive and , but Exam and Treatment by Periodontist or Endodontist is not covered? Why when infection is in teeth jaw and bones under teeth it's only covered for Extraction of the Tooth Surgery but not Prevention or Treating it, but suddenly when it spreading into Sinuses or Brain it is covered and suddenly a Medical Necessity comes to mind of Insurance Companies? Isn't it time Dental Health Treatments should be covered just like most expensive lifetime treatments for Obesety and Diabetes folks who didn't exersize and over indulge in food for years and Diabetes Treatments are more expensive than Periodontal and Implantology?

My gums look ok (no bleeding, inflammation), but I have huge pockets and loose bone around the teeth. No one really talks about how to prevent it. Thank you
Stress and antibiotics created the situation for me. The bacteria feed on heme (blood) so don’t let it get to that stage. Get a waterpik and add a few drops of tea tree or clove oil and run it around your gum line. Back it up with oil pulling coconut oil with cinnamon. I thought it was hokey but it totally clears up issues. That dental professionals don’t offer this advice is criminal. This is a really great video. I am 51 with pretty severe periodontal disease and am getting all these recommendations for painful surgeries. I don't want all the pain with gum grafting and from what I am reading it is not a final solution and in many cases, people end up back with more issues later on. I am looking to end this nightmare after 2 decades of deep cleanings and expense. Thank you for this detailed insight. I think I am going to consider the All on 4.
You didn't give much of an explanation of LANAP in regards to moderate gum disease. I'd like to know what are the benefits and drawbacks of laser gum surgery, thanks.
For the patient with mild periodontal disease, establish a baseline with root curettage and scaling; adjust occlusion; then, observe; keep teeth for a reasonable time and stagger implant treatment.

Situation today- after 10 days on antibiotics swelling is down, but i dont have crowns on implants and will discuss my situation with an oral surgeon. If you have any input on the situation, I'd appreciate it! This is my first three implants. all other teeth under crowns, no roots,l.Thanks and gave a wonderful day!
I don’t get it. I water pic, floss, brush and I take such good care of my teeth. I have three implants and some crowns. I have been trying to get help but its like an unattainable dream , bc it's not affordable for moms, my first child caused so much sickness and stomach issues, I was totally unaware of the damage it has caused, mine would be extrema and only after that first child, now it's not attainable 10,000 who can afford even that just to have full mouth extractions for the dentures, it very very heartbreaking
Google low income dental care. The state and town you live in. That is what I did. I had advanced gum disease and decay. They pulled all my teeth. The cost was based on income. No places like this don’t give or do dentures. So I wear face masks. When I go places so people don’t know my teeth are missing. Eventually in year maybe few years I will get dentures. The most important thing is getting them pulled. Please find someone to help you.
I am 35 years old and a diabetic. My mom has lost her teeth and never had the money to get them, fixed. I a, extremely anxiety filled and stressed. I was told that my perio is stage 4 of 5 and the teeth in the front are mobile, what are the options for front teeth with 50 percent bone loss.
One question I have concerns the use of lasers to control periodontitis. I ran into one Lanap-trained periodontist who thought that only one pocket over 5 in the entire oral cavity was too mild a case to bother treating with a laser. (there were several 5s) Where do you draw the line on when to get out a laser? I would much rather be treated too early rather than too late.
Your videos have been very helpful in educating me. I am 60 years old male with fairly severe periodontal disease. I have lost most of my upper rear teeh. I have been seen in local offices and told that I am a good candidate for all on 4 upper and lower. I am planning now to have the procedure done at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon Portugal. They are suggesting that I have ceramic prosthesus on upper jaw and titanium acrylic on the lower jaw. Does this make sense to you?
@@northtexasdentalsurgery Thanks. They said that they find less chance of brekage when using different materials on the arches. I also hear that it reduces the "coffee cup clinking" sound of ceramic on ceramic.
I recently drained my bank account to extract all my teeth due to the increasing severity of the infections. I only wear my upper denture because the lower denture is completely useless. How can I improve my quality of life and eat solid food again on lower middle class income?
Please do a video on if a dentist can "create" perio by making crowns way too long in the mouth, changing tooth shape with a crown etc. I got a botched crown, nobody including the dentist would help me. Major swelling UNTIL I contoured the crown myself, complete 7 months later working on it for 2 months!!! After the first month there was a shadow under the apex of the tooth. Everything I went to this dentist in the pas/he botched my teeth.
I seen a periodontist in Indianapolis Indiana 10th dential they told me due to high blood sugar and the doctor told me it will take long time for my right mouth to swell down due to high blood sugar my blood sugar was 300 its 8.3 since this past april please take care of ur health
I had the start of dental implants when I got an infection. Skip forward to several dental surgeries, the loss of four extra teeth and now I have a picc line delivering antibiotics. My surgeon and regular dentist have never seen this and have consulted. The infectious disease doctor is just fighting the infection. Any ideas?
Oh my goodness, how long did you have the PICC line? Do you have any other health conditions that is making the infection so bad? I hope you're doing better.
Can all on four Implants really support and zirconium arch upper denture? I can imagine that breaking or getting loose over time, especially if there's been periodontal disease. Can an upper quadrant that list bone during surgery due to decay, get a sinus lift and enough supportive bone added?
I really enjoyed you videos. They are very educational, especially your patients before and after photo. I know each case is different but could you give a general price for an all on 4 please?
glad you thought the info was helpful. in regards to our prices, there's always exceptions but typically 21.5k for zirconia. $17.5k for 3d printed nanoceramic
Dear Doctors, How to find a good Periodontist who does Oral Surgery and Implants in New York City and who is fairly honest and kind and who wouldn't pull teeth unnecessarily just because they are cracked and next to a tooth with bone rotting under gum and absess which must be extracted and an implant must be done? Is there a Society Membership which can indicate how many cases they treated and what were the results of their work in say 5-10 years for Dentures and Implants? I heard personally many people complaining their dentures didn't last and bone loss and poor fitting after just few years and that some implants may fail with infection right after or few years later they hurt, bone loss in bone grafted are and implants must be removed and redone?
I have one I am going to on Long Island that is great.. he’s actually our family periodontist.. since hun disease runs in my family .. my dad went to him and other family members .. now it’s my turn .. yay! Ugh
Question: My surgeon did Osseus surgery. Started in June finished last surgery in October & quadrants. Now I have the black triangles and I hate it. I never had triangles until he did the surgery and I’m very self conscious and stopped smiling. He said gums may grow back, is that true? What I’m confused about is why was the entire mouth done when I only had all 5s in the back molars top and a bottom and the all front teeth pockets were 3s? Was it necessary to do the front as well? I hadn’t noticed any bleeding until I was there for a deep cleaning. I take very good care of my teeth go twice a year and I floss daily & brush twice a day. The irony was I had to go to that practice due to insurance and in the end it didn’t pay for it costing me over 6K. I wish I had told him no I regret it deeply. Will you please give me your input on if this was necessary at least to the front teeth. Will the gums grow back and if why do I later have the black triangles. My two front teeth now have a gap I never had before so I’m assuming he made the gap. No I won’t go back I feel like he butchered me, I hope I can stop feeling this way.
I have to be honest Doc... for me even facing the prospect of a single dental implant is depressing, it's not making me feel super happy and even if the outcome is great aesthetics and usefulness... it just fills me with dread. When I look at all fours, all I see is an external object being placed permanently in my being. I can't think of anything more depressing and expensive.
My main front tooth is very loose...I think it's beyond repair I think its caused my other teeth to shift. I have never been happy with my smile. Should I just go with a denture?
I have severe gum disease and severe receding gums plus several missing teeth would I be able to get the 4 one? Would have to have gum surgery before procedure. I have been told I couldn't do either by Monarch Dental a few years ago they said I had no options ?
What if someone where to have started having trouble when they were 17, and have been through their wisdom teeth coming in rotten, and 2 root canals, one has already been removed due to infection, temperary fillings put in 3 or 4 teeth, that are working their way out, gums swelling and bleeding, constant pain, the other root canal is infected, 2 or 3 teeth are abcessing for no reason, only to be told now 10 years later, after thousands of dollars and a lot painful work on the teeth, over and over, one thing after the other, to be told oh you have acute necrilizing ulcerative gingivitis, and wanting to do a lot more expensive work, is all the pain and the over and over bout with it worth it?
if you have anug then the future prognosis probably isnt good. without looking at your xrays, it sounds llike you're gonna lose your teeth and be in dentures.
@@northtexasdentalsurgery I just want to know i am making the right choice for myself, I want to finally be pain free and be able to play with my kids, instead of having to constantly manage pain just to get through the day. It took me 5 dentists, and being called crazy, by every one, to get to this point.
I genuinely dont know if ill get an answer to that but i havent been able to afford a dentist so far and im p sure im a severe case as my infrabony pocket is going all the way down on the front of my 2 down front teeth and some of the pockets feels like they are eaten up. My teeth have stone atm i feel no pain eating or having any difficulties with cold things and stuffs but i also havent done a deep cleaning. My teeth feel stable but again they are filled of stone. I was taking good care of my teeth and im horribly scared of losing the front ones as im 21 i still dont have a job as im still in college and severely scared of losing my teeth. Is there a possibility i can do something i dont want to lose my teeth
Hi I have a question my dentist said I need a deep cleaning, I never have a problem with my teeth I am not sensitive to hot or cold I only have one cavity and they say I have gum disease they say I have gingivitis and they did not say everything about any bone loss but I think I might have some but my teeth are firm to the gum how do I read my xray to check if I have bone loss
The last of my teeth were pulled in February. I don’t have dentures won’t for long time. I wear face masks when I go out in public. No one knows my teeth are missing. Maybe you could try that until you can get dentures.
I have two rotted up on my left and two rotted on my lower left. As well as several other teeth I’m having issues with. I already have missing and wear a partial. What would u suggest?
My gums are really low at the bottom uet they don't bleed I have no plaque none are loose or stained and when the dentist told me there was no x Ray just had them cleaned and back in six months so does this mean it's mild periodontitis
hi. I have a question. I suffer from periodontal desease on the front part of my mouth up and bottom. i know that its to late to save the teeth. I was wondering if remooving the ''lost cause teeth'', putting bone graph, gum graph, and implants bridge could be a possibillyty?
I was diagnosed with mild gum disease and having little bone loss in front teeth should I be worried dentist said it can reversed after deep cleaning and having better oral care is that true ? Please help me and I’m only 22 I’m scared that I’m gonna lose my teeth
Well, first, you should go see your dentist and see if it’s gingivitis first and see if they can give you feelings and staff to fix your gums and get things back on track if your teeth are wiggling if they’re falling out if they’re just bleeding all the time if you can’t really chew, you know things like that that would be time to start considering like how he said to go visit a Orthodontist, but he’s not gonna be able to tell you in this video about what he thinks you should do without looking at your teeth and knowing Because there are mild cases of gum disease where you could just go to the dentist and they just need to clean your whole mouth out and then the gum disease is just gonna go away and then there is severe gum disease, where, like he talks about all the time like the laser surgery and you know all of that type of stuff and where they’re gonna have to pull your teeth out and just do it all on four of dentures😊
I need yall help because i lost one because of perdonatal it literary fell out i have no pain but i couldn't afford dental work or insurance very poor unfortunately

For people who are poor these things are not option. You need them pulled.

(there were several 5s) Where do you draw the line on when to get out a laser? I would much rather be treated too early rather than too late.
With extremely severe gum and bone loss is all on 4 still possible? Thanks for the video!
Yes you can.
yeah you can always get it supported by the cheek bone, just less people specialize in that kind of thing so you may have to travel.
Does this make sense to you?
i think that's not a bad recommendation. i'd ask them why not do a zirconia on both arches. maybe they think you're a heavy grinder etc.
How can I improve my quality of life and eat solid food again on lower middle class income?
get at least a 2 implant supported snap on denture down low. that should improve the quality of chewing. its not the best but a great start
I have Oregon health plan and no Job at the moment. I really have severe tooth problems. How can I get implants instead of dentures
You can’t dentures are your only option. Insurance doesn’t cover implants.
I have one I am going to on Long Island that is great.. he’s actually our family periodontist.. since hun disease runs in my family .. my dad went to him and other family members .. now it’s my turn .. yay! Ugh
Wish you were in Toronto doc :( honest doctors people can trust is hard to find.
theyre there. just gotta look around. i miss toronto. been a few years since i was there.
any chance have you heard of or been to Dr. Bruno Girard in Toronto?
How does one get rid of infection in the root of ones teeth - no gum disease. No rooth canal please
I can't think of anything more depressing and expensive.
crying ugly tear RN ...and hyperventilating ... can't afford the full procedures needed ...
My main front tooth is very loose...I think it's beyond repair I think its caused my other teeth to shift. I have never been happy with my smile. Should I just go with a denture?
Would you be able to focus on some more moderate and or localized cases?
Hi Dr. What are your opinions on LANAP vs Osseus surgery for a pockets in the periodontal pocket range of 7-8 ?
Lanap and osseous are both great options
Watching this being only 33 and being way worse then what's being shown, I'm totally afraid
What is better, LANAP or old school Ossouse surgery? I’ve heard nothing but bad things about LANAP? Thanks 🙏
What about cancer of mouth patients?
Hi I have a question my dentist said I need a deep cleaning, I never have a problem with my teeth I am not sensitive to hot or cold I only have one cavity and they say I have gum disease they say I have gingivitis and they did not say everything about any bone loss but I think I might have some but my teeth are firm to the gum how do I read my xray to check if I have bone loss
Question: what if you're told to get invisalign after gum surgery although you have black triangle and recession?
I’m 46 and will never know what it’s like to smile. I’ll be alone for life 😢
you may not be alone forever
who knows what tomorrow will bring
The last of my teeth were pulled in February. I don’t have dentures won’t for long time. I wear face masks when I go out in public. No one knows my teeth are missing. Maybe you could try that until you can get dentures.
@@angelaschaefer5883 I can never have dentures … not enough gum or bone to hold the dentures .
I got red gums, no bleeding, no pain, all pockets are 1s and 2s, i went to 4 dentists and they all said that it was fine. Is it really fine?
QQuestion What about using magnets for "Snap Ins" Just for info Thanks Thinking about Neodymium N54 strengths
Hi there Dr. Jed!
Hello there!
hi. I have a question. I suffer from periodontal desease on the front part of my mouth up and bottom. i know that its to late to save the teeth. I was wondering if remooving the ''lost cause teeth'', putting bone graph, gum graph, and implants bridge could be a possibillyty?
How can i find Daniel Choi?
Do you do anything special for mercury removal? Like the smart method?
I was diagnosed with mild gum disease and having little bone loss in front teeth should I be worried dentist said it can reversed after deep cleaning and having better oral care is that true ? Please help me and I’m only 22 I’m scared that I’m gonna lose my teeth
I dont know what to do smh 🥺
Thank you so so much for this video
I have periodontal disease. I have 11 teeth taken out. Should I do all on 4 implants. Please let me know thank you very much
Is there any good periodontist here in Nashville TN?
Do you offer financing?
How much does this cost
Can you do all on four for a smoker
you can if they stop smoking during the healing time
My gums bleed doc and smell bad do I have periodontitis do I need to pull my teeth i fell unwell doc any advice
go see a periodontist. can't really tell u anything based off that
Well, first, you should go see your dentist and see if it’s gingivitis first and see if they can give you feelings and staff to fix your gums and get things back on track if your teeth are wiggling if they’re falling out if they’re just bleeding all the time if you can’t really chew, you know things like that that would be time to start considering like how he said to go visit a Orthodontist, but he’s not gonna be able to tell you in this video about what he thinks you should do without looking at your teeth and knowing Because there are mild cases of gum disease where you could just go to the dentist and they just need to clean your whole mouth out and then the gum disease is just gonna go away and then there is severe gum disease, where, like he talks about all the time like the laser surgery and you know all of that type of stuff and where they’re gonna have to pull your teeth out and just do it all on four of dentures😊
What is all on 4?
How much does this cost?
I need yall help because i lost one because of perdonatal it literary fell out i have no pain but i couldn't afford dental work or insurance very poor unfortunately
Google low income dental care. The state and town you live in. I had to do that. They pulled all my teeth they charged based on income. They don’t give you dentures. It will be awhile before I can get those. So I wear face mask when I go places. No one knows my teeth are missing. These treatments are expensive even with insurance. For people who are poor these things are not option. You need them pulled.
More junk selling.
