When you grow wheatgrass from the seed first, initially soak it in the bath of water and a small amount of apple cider vinegar. After germination when you move it to tray sprinkle cinnamon powder and water it through. Both of these steps will help fight mold

"More studies needed" is the standard answer to suppress cheap and healthy alternatives. There is no money in those products and no one will sponsor a new study.

You can grow wheatgrass in a jar! Sprouting it and just letting it grow a couple extra days. I did it last week, of course i did the usual rinsing of sprouting daily. I ate the seed/grass on salads. Kept it cold in the fridge and it never went bad for a number of days.

I have the worst alllergies (sneezing, watery eyes, congestion) of probably anyone alive on planet earth. During spring and fall I basically cannot leave my house. I’ve been to a ton of doctors over the year and they’re so quick to write another rx for another pill.
I went to an Indian holistic doctor and he recommended two oz of wheat grass everyday. One in morning, one in afternoon and I AM SHOCKED BY THE RESULTS. I now am down to a single Allegra in the morning and that’s it. I swear to god it’s been LIFE CHANGING. I get a local place, Plant Slant (all 100% plant based) to mix a little ginger in mine and voila!

I still do it twice a day. I really kind of enjoy the taste (you can also add mint to it to help if you don’t like the flavor). Some days I do a third shot if my energy is low. You will notice a big difference quickly I think. Amazon sells some powdered versions of wheat grass and there’s also some in Whole Foods but they’ve been pasteurized (a lot of videos say that most of the benefits are lost during the pasteurization process)

Why do we need studies to prove wheatgrass is beneficial? Studies introduce a financial motive. It could cost millions by the time they prove something- that means somebody wants to get something in return, like a profit. They can't patent wheatgrass and elevate the cost- that's good. No profit motive.

Greenhouse grown grasses often have serious mold issues. They can (but do not always) create extremely bitter taste, dizziness, nausea, instant splitting headaches or sometimes vomiting. These responses are caused by mycoxins released by mold(s), not the wheatgrass itself.

With all due Respect, when Western people talk about alegies and food sensitivities, we who live organic lifestyle like I am from Pakistan and we never heard or saw a person in our life who have food alrgies. Only very Rich people have these problems because they eat a lot of processed food but for people like us, we can eat anything we want and we have a simple rule that If you can't digest something just ferment it and then eat it for few days and then you can digest those things without fermentation. Meanwhile western people are like they came from a distant planet and they are so sensitive about earth's food and they have to be super careful.

Oh no slow your roll music have you ever Wheat grass? I drank it one time in about 5 to 6 minutes after I drunk it I vomited it all up. Wheat grass is not for human consumption. Grass is for cows. Do you know a cow has four stomachs. That’s how many stomachs it takes to break down grass we only have one, that’s how they consume grass. Grass is for animals it’s not for people there’s no beneficial attributes of drinking wheat grass is all in your mind. That being said if you want to drink it drink it but I think it does more harm than good. Because it can be full of toxic pesticides.George Duncan you were right, there’s are so many better things that you can drink for your body which is good for you. Like the horrible spirulina enjoy.
