I absolutely adore this song. I’m glad that Chevrolet decided to use it in some of their advertising because it really fits their advertising that they’re doing now. I hope Susan and Derek make a bundle of money off of it.
@@kokewolfxo9710 Sorry, Duluth Trading Company Boxers and Vasque Work boots magellan fishing shirts and jeans Mr. “Koke” wolf. BTW, I’m 68, that might give you an understanding of where my musical tastes lie. I like most anything except death metal. There is one thing you got right, they did do a PBS “Mini Desk Concert” once.
The Chevy commercials in Detroit introduced me. I had to SHAZAM it. However, her RASP reminds me of Bonnie Raitt. This song was MEANT to be in my life!!!
Saw Susan live many years ago; one of the greatest voices I've ever heard. Thank God that there are still musicians like this, in a world that glorifies hubris and mediocrity. Mr. Trucks isn't too shabby either. 😁
Beautiful song of devotion. I really love the way Derek lets the song play out and then he swoops in at the end. The man is the gold standard of slide guitarists today, yet doesn't hog or even seek the spotlight. Humble.
I searched 2 simple & beautiful lines from the song in the Chevy commercial..hooked! I'm a Bonnie Raitt devotee & definitely hear her vocal inflections in Susan's voice! Sweet💝
Have seen these guys live twice now; the first new band to really get me excited in probably 40 years or more. Besides the great vocals by Susan and the fantastic guitar from Derek, there's something that separates them from most blues-based bands, imho. There's a stream of optimism flowing through their music you don't normally see in a blues band. I think music is safe with these guys for the next 25 years or so.
I know Im asking randomly but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb forgot my password. I would love any help you can offer me!
@Xavier Jared i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Were it not for the new Chevy commercial (2022), I would not know of this great band. I thought for sure it was Bonnie Raitt when I heard the refrain on the commercial. Can't wait to hear more!
Susan has her own music out as well and Derek her husband on lead guitar played with the Allman Brothers before they decided to put their talents together and follow the path. So glad they did....keep digging you'll like what you find!
This is one of those songs that's stuck on my soul! I just feel it . . .Every once in a while I hear the melody in my head and it just takes me someplace peaceful!
I love this band ❤. It’s a family. And the musicians and the singers are just amazing. The singers are incredible as are the band but wow those vocals.
My 3rd time seeing them, hard to imagine they are getting even better! What is the ceiling? CRAZY!!! If you haven’t experienced the power of a 12 piece band… GO!!! You will not regret it if you have a pulse😊 they are outstanding! Sue is a tremendous singer & guitarist,& Derek.. fahgetaboutit!!! Nobody can touch what he is doing with this band! DJ since 85, seen em all since 73… they are in the top tier of any live act MUSiCALLY… if you want gimmicks& lights… NO!! If you want unbeatable sound & musicians crafting GOLD… GO!!!!
this is my favorite version of the band. Kofi, Alecia, Liz, JJ, Tim still in the band. No offense to newer members or ex-members at this point, but this is the golden version. Just so tight and full of soul. Again, no disrespect on other members, but this is my fave.
This is like the third song I've heard on a commercial that has haunted me into searching out the source. The first was that Adele song, 'Hold On' and the second was 'My Tribe'. This one is every bit as good and I love Susan's voice...
Luv luv luv this band. Yes sireeee from Arkansas I am. Only discovered them in the last year!!! Wow what I've been missing. I would be their janitor to stay close to them. They're awesome.
This is a fantastic song, just stumbled on this music recently. Very aware of Derek Trucks over the years but was not aware of Susan Tedeschi. The version of this song from Red Rocks is cool also, with Susan actually doing the shredding at the end of the tune.
Saw them twice.. amazing & they played the sky is crying...first song I heard I was sold in 10 seconds.. almost all I listen too..I tip my hat to Susan Derek & that great band....
When I saw TTB 2 years ago they opened with this song in a very dramatic way. The usual blue/purple dim lights onstage while the band enters, Derek playing the intro but very quietly. Then Susan hits that first note (loudly) and the spotlight is on her. I swear the whole audience was pushed backwards a few inches. I was. WOW!
Love the song. Seriously I do.❤
It's gets better the louder you play it
I absolutely adore this song. I’m glad that Chevrolet decided to use it in some of their advertising because it really fits their advertising that they’re doing now. I hope Susan and Derek make a bundle of money off of it.
Heard it on a Chevrolet commercial too had to Google who was the singer wow love it.
@@dianevelez2955 Got to see Derek with Eric Clapton several years ago. All I can say is wow, what a show.
Ur a cornball. This is dork PBS music. I can guarantee you wear under armor and sketchers.

Her clean voice reminds me of Bonnie Raitt. Her rasp reminds me of Janis Joplin. And she can go back and forth between the two effortlessly.
Saw Susan live many years ago; one of the greatest voices I've ever heard. Thank God that there are still musicians like this, in a world that glorifies hubris and mediocrity.

Heard the Chevy commercial, mesmerized by her voice
Beautiful song of devotion. I really love the way Derek lets the song play out and then he swoops in at the end. The man is the gold standard of slide guitarists today, yet doesn't hog or even seek the spotlight. Humble.
One of the best songs to come around in the last 20 years.
Heard this song on a commercial; had to find it! Everything about this song is amazing!!
Same
I can't find the commercial. Would you mind linking to it in this comment thread? Thanks!
If this band does not move you, bless your heart!
This is a perfect song. Brilliantly arranged & layered it’s an addictive aural feast that only get BETTER-MORE ADDICTIVE with every single listen!
Chicago like horns.
FOOKING AWESOME SONG !!!! Thanks to Chevy for exposing me to this group and Susan's voice...
I just heard this on a commercial and i went to searching! Love it
Her voice, the background & band is golden
Did you hear that? The music sounds very similar to the '90s.
Me too Charlie! This is amazing!
This band is so tight. Amazing musicianship. Derek is a slide genius and Susan is like the hottest soccer mom that can slay vocals like no other.
Did you notice in this song, Derek is NOT playing with his slide, he is using his left hand in a "standard" fashion.
@@rogerd777 He does that pretty often, and then switch to slide for the solo.
This ages so well.
Wall. Of. Sound. Hell yeah!
I was searching for the voice behind the Chevy commercial and this is it. What a voice!!!
Yessss I fell in love with her voice from the chevy commercial. It carries beautifully.❤❤❤❤❤❤now my 23 year old daughter loves this song too.
That song just smokes. I marvel at her voice and Derek's slide skills. Brilliant.

Instant tears 🥹 soul music
This song didn't make me want a chevy, but it did make me search the song. Wow! Todays Bonnie Raite. What a voice!!!
This should have been a huge hit on radio.
Not in this day and age of overly slick hip hop and "modern" country. Put her voice through a computerized looping device and maybe it would be a hit.
I love that this is in a commercial on TV. Heard it years ago on Sirius and never felt like Susan and Derek got the recognition that they deserved.
Chevy brought me here

They have lots of material waiting to be discovered.
The horns make it a perfect song.
Please bring back those days of live concerts with bands like TTB; they deserve it and the public needs it, anywhere, anyway, anyhow !

The entire band is incredible, love those horns.
Right now, for me.....the only band that matters

Sweet Jesus, take me now. There is nothing greater for me to experience.
