Before there was an ad after 10 mins
Now it is coming in between the warm up
Please do something about it if you can
      Thank you
And also both the warm up videos help us a lot 🙏🙏

Drummer for over 30 years, I do this exercise twice everyday. As a traditional grip drummer I have been using this exercise to develop my match grip and I am very impressed with the results. Congratulations Mr. Randall, this video is making better drummers. I hope more people watch your channel.

It's been 2 weeks that I follow this warmup before every single session and I've seen my singles getting so much better, even the motions, wrist and finger techniques are getting better and better, more precise every time. I also take advantage of this to mark the time with my left foot on the hi hat, swithcing between downbeats and upbeats. Every other day I also do the warmup once again but with my feet on the double pedal and it helps a lot too ! On top of that I can't get bored with the nice melodies and it's become a sort of meditation, so I can't thank you enough for putting this together. I only wish you'd done the same with the 180bpm with this nice melody on top. It's stupid, but it's way easier to get down to it knowing there's a melody behind, because it's still playing music rather than playing to a metronome alone and it's way more enjoyable. When I found this video I was starting to feel some pain in my right hand hence looking for a good warmup. Since I do it the pain has gone so it's another motivation to keep warming up every time.

Just discovered this video. I’ve been playing for 28 years and only just now realized…I have nearly zero finger stroke on my left hand - just a wrist stroke. Weird. Looking forward to improving that and seeing how it affects my playing. I’ve always thought of my playing as “extremely intermediate.” Perhaps this might help. 🤔 Appreciate this lesson!

  • @Flamadiddle2

Great stuff. Quick and easy way to speed up without metronome. Click on video settings > playback speed > custom > adjust to 1.1 and so on.

  • @mattdrums8341
    @mattdrums8341 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

Great, a TH-cam drumming video that mentions lack of warm up can cause injury! 👍 Even with wrist strokes Gladstone is great, let the stick bounce up to where you threw it from with fluid wrist motion, it's faster, (unless you're changing dynamic level) instead of stopping the bounce and then lifting the stick back. Great exercises.. Do the exercises at every dynamic level, this will increase your expression/dynamics control when playing.

I am 66 and was a pretty drummer when I started 11 , playing double bass Rogers/ Ludwig Super sen. snare and Speed King pedals, Paiste cymbols. I was in the Navy reserve and School band. I Drummed to Ringo Star, Ginger Baker, Bonzo, Doug Clifford. I quit playing in my late teens. I just started playing again only with a pad , sticks and metornome. I love your channel and practice everyday following you. Thank you

This is embarrassing but as a whim, I bought a practice pad. Never played in my life but always wanted to...so, I'm learning. I can't believe how uncoordinated my opposite hand is. Doing finger strokes with my left hand feels so awkward and I have no speed at all. I'm hoping that continued practice will help that.

Another thing that i want to mention is:
I think it's even better if you practise/Warm-up on a pad with almost no rebound, because you really have to focus on the technique.
    It activates the muscels more.
You all should try it ^^
And if you don't have enough time to Warm-up, then try bigger and heavier sticks, but only if you have not enough time.
    Edit:
It also helps for playing on the floor Tom.

This warm up is the shit! I'll even use it to just get my mind off things when stress builds up.

A very nice warm up!!! I love the music and it’s the perfect length for targeting all the muscle groups!!! It works for me very well!!

Pretty cool. Actually kept up with the warm up. After 50 years, took up drumming again. Perhaps if I get good enough maybe I’ll play some gigs in a retirement home.😅
