For me it's impossible to think about I-V-vi-IV in D without thinking about With or Without You (though there are a million other songs)
A very nice way to further spice things up is to play the Bm chord as a Bm7 and the G chord as a Gsus2

Your vids always make me want to run to the piano and try it out just to see if I can sound good!
I'm sure if my neighbors hear scales again they'll scratch out their eardrums! Oh well. I still do them mainly because my MS (immune system destroys covering of nerves in my brain) causes memory gaps and the scales ground me so that I can see and hear the notes, again before I begin playing.
    Thanks for another helpful vid!

Can you show us about how to end a song with chords? Often, i get lessons on variety of chords pogression but hard to improvise for the ending or bridging play.... i would like to know how to end a song beautifully, thanks in advance! 🥳

I think there are a lot of ways, like walking the bass note down to the tonic. I'm playing through a few Depeche Mode songs and on a few they will change the final chord from major to minor the last time through. So say the last chord is A maj the last time they go to a a minor. I'm sure she'll have more ways.

Thanks for the lesson, So on the inversions I have a song with those chords and I have been playing it 1st position D, 2nd position A, 1st position B, 2nd position G. Is there a right and wrong way to inversions for a set of chords or is it whatever sounds good to you? Maybe that's a dumb question. *Edit* So I'm playing through it and if I play your inversions in the verse then the way I was playing it in the chorus it gives a lift in the chorus section. Which gets me thinking now on how to approach inversions in the future.

What song does this remind me of? The 4 Chord Song by Axis of Awesome haha. If you've not heard it you have to, they're a comedy music group and they combined loads of songs with these chords.
Edit: not sure if they're in the same key or not but I just mean I V vi IV.
