Here are some simple do it yourself roll away nesting boxes that I use in my coop. Mine has 7 stalls and took 2 sheets of plywood. Feel free to reach out with any questions or even to show off your coop!
woodenful design, i have question about the plywood. i saw the egg collection part is outside the chicken house without any cover. it was exposed to the sun and rain. will it broken after long time using?
Thank you, so my overhang from the roof does semi-protect it. I made sure to paint it though and after almost a year I have had no issues with it. Of course if this is a concern and you would rather have it inside the coop you can just turn it around. Just be sure to still cover the part the eggs roll to so the chickens can't get to the eggs. Good luck!
I used 3/4 inch plywood. It doesn't matter too much as long as you sand down anything that might interfere with the hens and have some sort of mat down for them to set on. Good luck!
We are working on building an 8' by 8' shed coop and want to copy your build for the nesting boxes. Do you have any additional advice before we get started?
Hey! I wish you luck on your build, that's exciting! For the Nesting boxes specifically the only thing I would add is once you know your chickens are okay with the material you line the box with I would glue it down so they can't scratch it out. Let me know if you have any questions! I do have full coop build videos as well if you need to reference those. Thanks for watching!
We followed your plans only smaller to make four roll away nesting boxes for our new coop. Thank you so much!
Awesome! I hope it works well for yall!
Sample easy, straightforward. No fluff in the video
Great video dude. Thanks.
Thank you!
Awesome 👌

I cannot see the dimension on the back side of your layout. It looks like 14 3/4. Is that correct? Im trying to get the slope right.
It is 14.5 inches. Thanks!
How thick should the plywood be? Does it matter if it’s rough or not

What kind of staples did you used to put it together ?
I actually used Brad nails instead of staples. That paired with wood glue hasn't given me any problems!
