So me and June had to go to the south coast again and this time we stopped in The Queens Hotel in Southsea near Portsmouth Here is what we think of this hotel.
My grandad owned this hotel and was head chef back in the day, it’s where they filmed a mr bean episode and he was the chef who offered him (mr bean) muscles, lovely place
I worked in the kitchen there back in the 90s, great place and I always given a good meal there. The one thing I remember was the sea green walls in the kitchen 🌊😁
Well what did you expect from a view from a window in Portsmouth? Sydney Opera House? Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Wilderbeasts marching majestically along the plains?

The dinner/ evening menu most probably would have been cut down some what due to quieter times due to this virus,wonde4 why you where put so high up in the building considering there didn't seem to be many occupying the building at the time you were there ? Looked nice enough though.
I used to stay is a gorgeous b&b on the front at Southsea years aago when i was on my travels in that job. I can't remember the name of it, but it was family run and really top level.
June,it’s a superking,I’m sure u know. We had a superking as a wedding gift. All I can tell you 8smthe bed is awesome,can’t fault it. But,coming to changing and putting on fresh bedding,it’s a nightmare. Well,for me.i can’t do it,but it’s arthritis,but I imagine even for those with no issues,they’d find it quite a job I’d say. Hope you had a lovely stay,and the bed was comfy 👌
I literally lived on Western Parade around the corner from there, always thought it would be jokes to see you around there. A big shame! I hope you enjoyed your stay lad
Been there in 1996. Had a special offer £35 with breakfast with a sea view-under that in relation rate that equalivant to £66.50 in today's money. Back then they had an outdoor pool ........and a helicopter landing pad!
June needs to write non fiction books , Or romance . Daves breakfast looked amazing then he walked it off up 3 flights of stairs not bad for price both xx peace
BVM, Love ur videos. just do me a favour and assure us ur keeping an eye on ur health and weight. its all well and good u reviewing food etc for us mere mortals but u need to make sure ur exercising too!! juney needs u round for as long as possible! keep the videos coming but keep ur health good too!
If you ever go more into hotel stay and reviews,and after all this shit is gone and your willing to travel- The Giltar hotel in tenby ,Pembrokeshire is absolutely beautiful.i reccommend the deluxe rooms,and they do have offers on ,like three for two kind of thing...✅
