Listening to this again gave me a nice wave of nostalgic anger. I was first clarinet and kept being annoyed at that beginning and my inability to play it. Now it just brings memories of practice and working through my part.
We did this for our most recent Christmas concert on the 13, I’m a percussionist and I got upgraded once from chimes, then to crash cymbal, then all the way up the base drum! Plus this is one of My favorite movies!

My band for some reason has always had extremely talented brass players and some insanely skilled clarinets. This is Halloween is one of the very few songs to give me chills while still playing, especially the section at 4:02. Funny how my favorite part in any Christmas song we play for the concert is about Halloween 😭

as a Middle School Band Alto Saxophone Player, this is insanely difficult, but we practiced so much, and now we know pretty much all of it. Just practice, helps tremendously.
