My junior high played this for our winter concert. It was extremely difficult but we played it beautifully, one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever been a part of.
SO TRUE!! 10th grade euphonium here. I’m practicing this on top of my all state band etude and scales. AS well as other music for our upcoming concert. Our trombones are having so much trouble!! AHHH!!
Same with us! Our trombones never take their instruments home and we only have like one good player! It's annoying because our teacher ends up teaching them stuff they should have already practiced for the whole class period. Why makes it worse us that the Live Oak marching band usually come to our concerts
Alan Alaniz Yea same. The only problem is that we have 2 Tubas and they can’t play loud enough. Our trombones are also our worst section. As the bands only euphonium I have to put up with this shit lmao, I’m like the second section leader of the tromboners
@SyonMistry-d1othere was a deleted comment saying the conductor saying it was marked 120 for them, as the conductor wanted it, I was saying it didn’t make sense.
we’re playing this in my concert band and i play the clarinet but i’m learning oboe specifically for this song (i’m nervous as junk) but hopefully it will be good
I'm playing it this year in 7th while this is a highschool song, I'm not really surprised tho cuz my band is the best one in the entire district, and this song isn't that hard for me but it kinda is a bit hard, I play b flat bass clarinet
@ I mean my band isn’t bad, but like my band is just not good besides me and some other players that get tutored. Unfortunately some kids there can’t play a middle c correctly.

The band at the high school played this at our concert yesterday
i just played this in my college leveled band and it sounded beautiful. it was a beautiful peace and they played it so nicely
I'm crying I have to play this in 7th grade
They sound all good while our band will sound like screeching 😆
Heh, kind of same. 10th-grade flutist here, I swear, _no one practices at home anymore._

I am too, but ours is pretty good

The early trumpet at the beginning
i really wish i could play this
Bruh our tiny highschool band could never😟
As a horn- hearing those horns miss an Eb was heart wrenching-
I played this this year in my high school band
They overpowered tuba when they had melody
Yeah
More tuba!
This happens a lot, because the higher instruments( Horn, trumpet, higher woodwinds, aren’t used to the low brass and reeds having the melody)
Why is it so fast at "this is Halloween" it's Adante not allegro
Idk it’s marked quarter note for them, 120 makes no sense cuz it’s supposed to be quarter note=84.
They’re trying to show off
fr but my band is playing it rn and we get so excited and stop watching the conductor 😭😭😭
@@justinspino1officialum no the hell it’s not?
It says
“This Is Halloween”
ANDANTE

This is giving flashbacks
yo, we could only dream of 7 or 8 bass clarinets, we currently have 2 bassoons(me included) and one bass clarinet....if only :(
I play bass clarinet, im the only one tho :(
@ I’ll admit bro, like having 7 bass clarinets creates like a wall of dark sound dude
@@TheBerryMerryMan damn

My school band is learning how to play this rn (I’m percussion)
0:01-0:16 Overture
0:17-0:34 Whats this?
0:35-2:12 Christmas eve Montage
2:13-3:23 Sally's Song
3:24-4:20 This is Halloween
4:21-5:04 Whats this?/ending
4:23 I didn’t know Jayson Tatum played percussion
If drake and tatum had a baby:
Now I know that I'm not the only bass clarinet player that wierd with the tempo in the beginning
oh man i got temple blocks 8)
Same brub
3:56
U need more oboes on the solo because you can’t even hear her.
I have to play this in 7th 😢 symphonic band but I’m a trumpet 3 and some trumpet threes play everything natural and not sharp or flat 😡

Omg my band played this except a bit slower lol
2:08 tf2?!?!?
weak climax before sally’s song
I dont see it much but i do kinda agree with you maybe they meant to play that way not sure do.
It looks like the music is meant to fade into Sally’s song instead of having a climax
Nevermind my tired ass was looking at two different all state etudes side to side on my stand 🤦♂️
No alto Clarinet 😔😔😔
