- I picked up my new custom kayak trailer built by Denny Romero from On The Water Innovations. Since I have taken to living on the road and traveling across the country to tournaments, I realized I really needed to upgrade my kayak trailer. I wanted to have a trailer I could rig easily and back down the ramp to load and unload quickly. However I also needed plenty of cargo capacity, as living on the road 24/7 gets messy quickly with everything packed inside a tiny car. This custom build gives me a ton of lockable cargo capacity as well as room to grow.

I am living on the road full time now, traveling all over America to do tourneys and explore new waters. That trailer is PERFECT for my travels. The storage is out of this world and I don't have to pack my car to the ceiling anymore. Denny does awesome work.

You'll have lots of conversations at the ramp about that trailer! Every time I'm anywhere with the trailer people are asking about it, gas station, boat ramps etc. FYI recently someone had their jack stolen, I was worried about that with mine so I remove it and put in car after hooking up the trailer.
Gotta lock it all down!
You can also get the locks like the ones that you use on hitches and lock the jack on
How exciting!! I love it!! And yes.... that Yakima TopWater is very hard to find. Lucky you! I was able to put a ton of stuff up there under my 5 rods. I have 2 sets of kayak paddles along with several plano boxex, many bags of plastics, spare buffs, gloves, towels, etc. It can hold 75 lbs.
So awesome! I love the boxes but havent put anything but rods in them yet. :)

it is mounted directly into the upright. Nothing obvious to remove to take it off.

Awesome #1 quality trailers! Can you recommend a waterproof custom Kayak cover manufacturer for use when trailering at 75 mph? (13.5 long & 40” wide) THANKS!
Sorry if I missed commenting on this. I generally don't travel with a cover on my kayak because I do so many miles and I keep my accessories on.. they would rip the cover from underneath at those speeds. Hobie does make a really nice custom cover for its model and many people use those!
What are your bunkers made from?
Do you have a link for the guy who made the cargo box? Or if you don't mind posting how much just that box was? Just got a trailer and adding a box like that would be awesome!

I know it's been a while but do you still love the trailer and do you store your Hobie on the trailer when not in use?
Still love it and I do store it on the trailer.. but to be fair I am on the road about 11 months of the year so I just don't even bother to take it off.
