Steve is THAT dude! Super talented at what he does! You’ll feel like you’re designing a custom Rolls Royce when designing a trailer with him! Definitely look forward to making mine with him in the future.
This is a beautiful trailer setup - love it. I'm interested to know the max width of the trailer, and will assume that is around the wheel/fender area. I have very limited space in my garage . Thanks for posting such a great rig!
About 70” is the width fender to fender. With a lot of the pwc trailers, there just weren’t wide enough to see the fenders when towing. We made sure even in a full size pickup that you could still see it, but not overly wide.
That PWC trailer will definitely get the job done! Mine last year did but there were some things that I would’ve like that was addressed with this trailer. I’m a little pickier than others but just honestly could have still used mine from last year.
Thank you Brandon for sharing this. Not sure how i missed it till now as I have been looking for someone closer to me in California to get a good trailer for my PA14. I think it would be worth the drive to Idaho to get something this nice.
@@anglersanonymous714 reach out to Steve and get your dream trailer built! I’ve put more miles on mine than anyone else and it’s been an absolute dream to pull around. I don’t baby my stuff either! Haha
did you install brackets then weld pipes or did you weld the pipes to the brackets and then install it? Im building one and almost to that proces. also where did you get the bow stop?
Everything was fabricated from Steve at Snake River Lockers in Idaho. He built the bracket and welded the pipes to it for durability. You can order the brackets from him if that’s the direction you want to go.
You can contact Snake River Lockers directly at their website in the description. Steve does sell parts from his trailers separately too for the DIY community!
For rigidity and longevity, steel is the only option at this time. From my experience, aluminum is a little too light for these size trailers and bounce a lot.
Lots of traditional trailers have similarities regardless of it being a boat trailer or kayak trailer. However, the design of this trailer is totally different. If you look closer, the frame and features are different to make the usage functional.
Not even close. This is next level! Like Brandon said, most trailers are similar and lack creativity. What sets Snake River Lockers products apart is the attention to detail and engineering prowess. These are designed with the kayaker in mind. The custom Yakima mounts alone should highlight those differences.
Steve’s attention to detail is second to none. These trailers are so freaking cool. Could be used in military applications they are built so well.
Agreed! I’ve been roughing it up the last couple trips and it’s been flawless. Doesn’t bounce on all the nasty backroads I’ve been through

Agreed 100%!

Super sick trailer! I love how the options are endless.
Versatility and functionality are key!
Very nice! just picked up a budget used PWC trailer, one of these days I'm going to have to step up to one of these!

That will serve you well. Very nice.
Thank you!
Awesome setup!!
Your Swangin and Bangin like in Texas!!!
Going to be calling this guy next year to get my own. Very nice trailer.
You’ll be extremely happy with this product! I’m loving it compared to my old DIY trailer. Makes life so much easier on the road.
Watching from South Africa. Busy with a similar build. Enjoy the component add-ons
that is a sweet trailer! Great job Steve
I’ll let him know! 🙏🏼
Beautiful trailer!!!
Thank you!

Nice ! Awesome video.
Thank you!
Nice! I want to build a new one.
It’s a never ending addiction! Ha!
Nice set up man! What's the overall length of the trailer with the tongue folded? Thanks!
Mine sits at about 16” to the rear end of my kayak!
Will you take ur graph off when you trailering your boat on the highway or just leave it there?
I usually leave my front graph on because it’s hard mounted. My side graph comes off
Where can you get that Bow Stop?

Will an aluminum version be available?

Sic video! 🤙
Appreciate it!
Personally, I prefer FTK Series Tournament Kayak Trailer. Just me. It’s look nice.
Those are good trailers too. Little too bulky for me as I’m limited on space but they’re functional and that’s what matters.
OTWI trailer copy.

Nope. These are the best trailers on the market. Allot of pride and attention to detail goes into each one.
Outstanding looking trailer, I have a OTWI that is along the same lines but I have a Jackson blue sky I drove 12 hours to pick it up.
